  2. Thought about selling the house too but after living here 39 years I couldn't do it, so I refinance the house, ended up having to help my younger brother with some debt too because of his divorce. was a little shock my SO was very understanding about it when I ask her if I can help him. my ex would have blown up but my SO said family must help family. my SO have been trying to get 2nd job to help me visit her and I nixed it, I rather she care for our son than spend time at working 2 jobs, she stop using the money I put aside each month for her and our son, wanting to not make me work too hard so that been added to trip. but as it stand I still have to delay trip until jan 1 ( robert
  3. you really must be nervous now morning there now
  4. i know this is serious but LMAO God i feel better now, my cat just ate my i-130 form
  5. I think the black pearl reputation is changing to one for the good after hearing many bad stories in the past about her, the last few months I been hearing more good stories, anyone consider the fact that she was new to the process when she started that following procedures was more important? longer someone work at a job the more they see some rules are too strict or too strange to even consider. I think we seeing people or VO starting to relax a bit with homeland security and congress breathing down thier neck the last 5 years on terrorism. If a terrorist got pass a VO and kill people that VO have to live with that knowledge. I'm just starting to see how stressful thier jobs are. And maybe Black pearl had a talk with the other VO who might be a new person about relaxing a little. just my 1 cent worth Robert
  6. My wife would not accept any money from me until we was married. after that I put in to a debt account for her the amount of money that double her income. Our son is going to a good school that has air condition, my wife and son is eattting better, my Son love milk and he get to drink it daily. he been out growing his cloths and I been helping on that. Do I complain no, I enjoy it, I can't be there in person to help my family but I can help support them. That my opinion. She worry that she making me work so hard. it not hard work it taking care of my family. robert
  7. I'm willing to learn, It's my willingness to learn asian art that got us together and she knows I'm willing to move to her, Because of my classes and my mother she knows we need to stay in the states for a while once my duties are done here we will move to asia where ever my degree will give me a good job, be it viet nam or china Robert
  8. it is remarkable how many are willing to move back to asia to retire, i'm looking at it as a 2nd home, after being there and now here in usa i feel a part of me left behind. my SO glad i have talk about it, but most people here think i'm nuts robert
  9. That the point some of these deadbeats dads are demanding money, I'm sure we can find the father but from what I know of him, he a very greedy individual. as for the birth certificate i'm checking to see if the father put on it, I seem to remember her mother threatening to do that if my SO mother did I not sure if that will cause problems, most of these will be taken care of on my next trip. but I believe from what I been looking into that viet nam laws have my SO as sole custudy because she was never married, to keep the children from claiming first born rights to the father estates. robert
  10. Dear CFL Members, If one birth parent or legal guardian of a child is planning on taking a child (any minor under the age of 18) to the United States, and the other parent or legal guardian of the child is going to remain behind in China, they must be prepared to show that there is no legal impediment to the child leaving the country. This can be demonstrated by showing who has custody of the child. Divorce agreements in China usually list who has legal custody of children. The birth parent staying in China can also provide a notarized statement saying that they are aware that the child plans to immigrate to the U.S. and that they agree with their immigration. These are the most common methods of demonstrating that there is no legal impediment to the child immigrating to the U.S. Sometimes, for whatever reason, neither of these documents can be obtained. These situations are dealt with on a case by case basis. Sincerely, Immigrant Visa Unit, U.S. Consulate, Guangzhou, China nice response but what about those that never been married and the child father not around? what prove is needed?
  11. which is best for those that marry in asia (china, vietnam) to adopt your SO child? my SO wants me to adopt her son robert
  12. not a woman, but my SO son's father want no part of him, will not even acknowledge that he has a child, he show up once this summer and wean out 1000 dollar from my SO mother by stringing her along with thoughts of marrying her daughter. Then left never even allow his son to call him father. one person told me that because they was not married and he consider him not his. My SO seem shock that I consider her son my own and 1st born, I may not be the biological father but in everything else he is my son. Just show your SO how good a father you are forget about ex, anyone not wanting to take resposibilty for loving thier children have no pity from me or respect. Robert
  13. halfway through the trip i was bathroom bound for 2 days the hotel staff gave me something stronger than what my doctor gave me cure me in 1 hour
  14. if you can have your SO plan everything for you believe me you save lots of money. 2nd trip back in dec and my SO already got my hotel cheaper than what i negociate with my art last time. robert
  15. "We are also aware that it is common in China for couples to take posed wedding photos before their wedding. Try to not to worry too much about little mistakes or slip ups in the interview, we realize that everyone is human." quote does that mean they can be used???????
  16. Not sure, but I am plowing up my lawn come Spring! My climate here isn't all that different than Wisconsin I wish there was a Chinatown near here... Spokane, Missoula, and Boise have no such thing. Maybe Seattle does, but i'd have to fly there so may as well go to SF. Adding $300 to the grocery list makes the Ginseng a lot more spendy though! UU is ok, but its still as spendy as anywhere else. I guess I should buy some though because I know they will enjoy it, and they did give my relatives 1.25kg of primo red and green tea that goes for about $100 a pound (a huge expenditure for an average small town Chinese family). Reciprocation in kind... yep I am becoming Chinese (and don't mind a bit) Merc 167667[/snapback] the wild ginseng have a hunting season of sorts there 3 months out of the year it not allow to be dug up. Missouri has many spots that grow it, I know one guy is planning on putting in 10 acres of it in mid missouri. take 3 years before it can be dug up and has to be shaded. so a lot of work goes into growing it. btw a ginseng root in shape of a man is worthe 500 to 1000 dollars depend on size.
  17. my SO is a chocolatohlic love chocolate just like me. Robert
  18. that rewarding the illegals but if they change the rule which most cases are regulation not laws to where you have to interview at your embassy that would stop that practice.right now they rewarding illegals into staying if they marry here. i'm not wanting my wife do anything illegal, would like to have her visit my fmily and friends on a 30 day visa during the process. there are times when she could visit me easier for a week or two than for me to drop everything and see her. after all the trouble we have had on getting our license. we both proud of the fact we married in Viet Nam and not in the US. beside what keeps tourist visa today from not returning back tothier home? most tourist visa are pass in about 30 to 60 days. i still willing to post a bond just to prove she would not over stay her time. changes have to start somwhere.
  19. think some of you miss the point or else I was to long on explaining. why not allow visits on tourist visa to allow both sides to spend time during the visa process, my wife want to finish out her time teaching until May so not to upset her students. way it looks now she may end up teaching next fall by time visa get done. she get off 15 days in Jan which she could spend her getting to know my family or maybe during the summer to visit. btw i'm planning on spending time with her for 20 days this dec-jan. point is why can't she visit 10 to 30 days. i find it sad that a woman from a poor country have less chance of getting a tourist visa than a man from a poor country. only thing that equal is if both decide to marry a american they are then barred.
  20. i not sure on China but forme to send anything by mail to my SO in viet nam is like putting it in a bottle and hope it gets there by throwing it into the local lake here in missouri. so far FedEX have reach my SO every time and not open up by local offical. where as the mail most time that did arrive got open many times. robert just to be safe talk to UPS,Fedex and make sure it ok to send. you will have to fill out a custom sheet.
  21. This is about those of us that are married. Why does it take 7 month to 2 year for a visa to be processed, Why not allow our SO to wait out the time here in the states or even visits? I have no problem with checking in with law enforcement once a month to make sure my SO here. I own a house,I just can't just pick it up and move. you have my address, name, SS and everything you need but the kicten sink on who I am, how much money I make. a photo ID and fingerprint of our SO. to make sure that she here she could do a thumb print at the sheriff office then fax to a location. a tourist could easily disappear within minutes of arriving in america, my SO will have a place to stay. I'm even willing to put up a bond as mean of ensuring she would not flee into the countryside and hide. There no burden upon the government for her to be with me. oh last thought why no tourist visa? allowing our SO a chance to visit thier future home would be nice. Around trip ticket is required. My SO would love to visit a few times before our visa is done. I had to visit her country in order for her to come here. and don't use the fraud excuss that a slap in the face of those of us that are in love. I take me less than a few days to get a visa to another country, But my wife being a woman, poor and own property that not worth much in US value have zero to no chance in hell of getting a tourist visa. Sorry for the ranting. Robert
