  1. Singapore Air from SF to HK is the best. If you plan to spend time in HK, Get a hotel with a harbor view.
  2. You have to shop hard. Start looking 120 days in advance. You should start seeing low fares at 90 days. Sometimes Yahoo & Expedia offer the lowest fare; Maybe the the other online agents, maybe local agents, maybe the airlines themselves. It is all about timing and the day of the week you leave. Leave on a Tue, Wed or Thu. Agents trade tickets at 90, 60, 30 and 7 (and 24hr) days. That's when you will find the best deal. The more work you put in the cheaper the fare. The thing about travel in China is just airfare and hotel. Day to day expenses are next to nothing. I actually save when I am there. My last two trips were for about three weeks each and we went to 4 & 5 cities. Air & Hotel was about $2100. If I went to a travel agent and bought the same package I would spend about $7000 to $10,000. Do your research, do as much on your own and always buy your domestic air tickets in China. The more you work, the cheaper it is.
  3. Maybe you are one of the lucky ones and will get through fast. Me, I will tour China in April for two weeks and if I'm lucky my fiancee will have her P3 and we will complete it at that time. I'm not that worried about time though. It is important for my fiancee to spend time with her friends and family before she comes to the US. Remember, it may be as long as two years before she can go back for a visit.
  4. P3s that left the NVC on 01/10/05 have cleared customs and have been delivered to the consulate in GZ.
  5. Just saw the Jet Li movie "Hero". The jist if the film was "China, Our Land". Are there any "Christian Bushies" out there that think we should invade?
  6. Here's the url for the Consulate in GZ. http://www.usembassy-china.org.cn/guangzhou/iv/ Some of your questions may be answered here.

  9. I don't mean any ill will. As a vet I respect Colin Powell. He got reemed and said no more. I'm not that fond of politics. We just have to deal with it. As far as I'm concerned I'm the guy who carried a rifle and has seen how things are. I just want my paper work to go through before there is a shift in policy. Some Americans are happy in their trailer park and some want to reach out and touch the world.
  10. Colin L. Powell is a combat soldier; he has special insight in to people and world events. He has seen human beings at their worst. I knew he would never stay on. Conflicts with G.W.? Remember the "pretzel" incident? MoonCafe should be able to answer.
  11. You can go here for "section 221" info. Is it possible a wrong box was checked on your DS-156 or DS-230? http://www.immigrationapplication.com/classes.htm
  12. About two years ago I suspected my emails to China were being read as it took about two days before they got to my fiancee's inbox. Also if you send a video tape you can expect it will take about six months.
  13. Just did a email test and the auto reply is working.
  14. When she is ready to talk price I go out for a smoke and take pictures.
  15. Don't know much about a visa from Korea. I do know a girl from China who came to the US via Japan. She said she went to Japan to work and was able to come here with little problem.
  16. You can find it here. http://www.foodsubs.com/Poultry.html And here. http://www.hjxwth.com/eng/wjjs.htm

  21. It is always the people you least suspect. The "nice" people. Watch out for people who say they "love" children. Coaches, Police Officers, Teachers, Counselors. Take Care.... pkf
  22. No sweat. Just better able to plan now. These GOV people have problems.
