denial because of language barrier
egolessvegan replied to andersensr68's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
My wife received her visa and spoke very little English. If your evidence of relationship is strong and all the paper work is done error free, the visa should be awarded. Kang Ning Sun -

Good marketing move by MLB. They would like to cash in just like the NBA has with TV and licensing. Ken

I-751(10 year Green Card)
egolessvegan replied to egolessvegan's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
Mom has 10 year Green Card. So, I am just trying to figure out whether to send in 465 dollars plus the biometric fees for 2 or 930 dollars plus the biometric fees for 2. Ken -
Applying for the 10 year Green Card for our 2 children at the same time, very soon. My question is: Do I pay $465 for EACH child along with the $80 dollars biometric fee for each? or Do I pay $465 TOTAL along with the $80 biometric fee for each? Thanks, Ken

The cost of the immigration process seems unfair at times. However, we are big winners when all is said and done! Ken -
10 year green card has arrived
egolessvegan replied to egolessvegan's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
Ken, it appears that the childREN arrived more than 90 days past the mother??? Will this require two (or more) petitions for your kids??? As in $545.00 times number of kids I paid the old $275 fee for the wife and the new $545.00 for the daughter . I personally feel this 90 day crap and MORE fees is ridiculous. Yes, it will be an additional 1090 dollars. -

wife wants to quit work in China.
egolessvegan replied to heyjimi's topic in Culture & Language Discussion
Most of the American men I encountered who were in relationships with Chinese women were sending money whether the SO was working or not. I personally always wanted to make my wife's life more comfortable right from the beginning. Ken -
A question about 10 year Green Card filing
egolessvegan replied to egolessvegan's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
Our 2 children received their green cards 7 months after their mother. In filling out the I-751, I needed to include information about them and provide passport style pictures. I was confused some if we needed to pay their biometrics fee now. Ken -
I am sitting back reading all the responses to this thread. Wow! It is very intense. All of us encounter cultural and transitional issues with our children and spouses. So for anyone to come on here thinking they have all the answers and go bad mouthing someone is absolutely ridiculous. It would be nice if we could give this individual some encouragement and leave the judgmental stuff out. Just my opinion of course. Ken

Our children (daughter 19 and son 12) came from China 20 months ago. In a relatively short amount of time they have made the transition to life in the USA. I enjoy my role as a father and the kids are appreciative for the opportunities that they have here. My best suggestion to those with Chinese children on the way, just be there for them and give them all the love that you have. Most of the other stuff will take care of itself. Ken

first off Lance anyone that has actually spoken with my wife realizes this firing was a sham.... to make my point..... she was transfered to a new position and a new supervisor (a middle aged american woman who immeadiatly did not like her) she worked for 6 months in this company and 1 week under this new supervisor. i can promise you it had nothing to do with her little accent that she has..... Bill: It is all right if your wife is not perfect. No need to defend it! Ken
