Thank you brothers and sisters at Candle and 001.

My SO received her passport with Immigrant Visa this morning at Junyuan post office.

She was interviewed by a blond dude on 2/27/2006.

He greeted her in Chinese, but my wife replied in English.

So the rest of the interview was done in English.

Initially, she was not sure about conducting the interview in English.

I passed on all your advice and told her she needs to practise through the list of possible interview questions. (I gave her both English & Chinese versions)

She was asked:

1) What does your husband do?

2) Where is he working?

3) When were you married?

4) Show me some photos.

Then the VO said, "Congratulations".

She was surprised it was so short.

She thought her "Kithchen Sink" was a bit too much to carry

until she saw another girl in the consulate carrying twice

as much

It rained most days in Guangzhou, so if any of you are headed

there, don't forget to bring an unbrella or rain coat. And a big

plastic bag for the "Kitchen Sink" of documents & stuff.

My timeline is:

P3 to GUZ 9/14/05

Eligible for interview 9/23/05

Interview date set 1/13/06

P4 received 1/22/06

Interview 2/27/06

Immigrant Visa 3/1/06

She stayed one night with the Yang's above the consulate building.

They're very nice and informative.

Thanks again and God bless you all.

Congratulations!

  :redblob:

BTW: I have been fascinated by your avatar.  Why wouldn't the other bear(?) respond to the slaps and let it continue like that?  The other day Randy made it symmetric. :D

Wish you happy life together!

It's not a bear....it's Pikachu from the Pokemon world

The slap-happy Pikachu reminds me of Government agencies (GUZ,DOS, USCIS, etc) and the one getting slapped around.....you guessed it,

all of us poor souls.
