Hello, We received an email notice from the Guangzhou US consulate and registered at ustraveldocs.com. We were able to pay the fee and schedule an interview. However, in various places, the instruction mentions that there should be a "K1 instruction packet" that we should have received. From what I understand, that should be a packet listing the specific approved centers for medical examination. We never received that packet, but I googled and found a PDF listing the location of 4 centers. I don't know whether what I googled was the latest information, and I was wondering what else were in that packet. Does anyone have a link to that packet? I am also asking the consulate this question. Thanks in advance.

Hello, A couple of weeks ago I got the I-797 NOA saying my K-1 application has been forwarded to the NVC in New Hampshire. I called the NVC and received the GUZ #, invoice #, and beneficiary #. From my research, I can start doing I-134 Affidavit of Support -- is there anything else I need to fill out? Seems like my work is pretty much done here in the USA? For my fiancee in China (never married before with no kids), the tasks she needs to complete are: Completed Form DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application.A passport valid for travel to the United StatesDivorce or death certificate(s) of any previous spouse(s) for both you and the U.S. citizen sponsor Medical examinationEvidence of financial support (Form I-134, Affidavit of Support, may be requested)Two (2) 2x2 photographs.Did I miss anything? And what's this converting GUZ # to GZO?? Thanks for your time

So we finished the DS-260. They are really thorough on that one. We were not expecting some of the questions. -Where you have lived since the age of 16? -Employment for the last 10 years. I thought 5 years was pretty thorough but the DS-260 went deeper haha. Anyways, after that we tried signing up with the TravelDocs website. My SO already has a 10 year tourist visa so he already had an account. When we tried to select a document pickup location it asks for the case number at the end. When Entering our case number GUZ********** it says The Case ID That You Entered Cannot Be Found. We entered it a million times and there are no mistakes we are sure of that. And of course it is the weekend and all the technical support is off. I noticed on here some people had problems with this in the past, but was not sure of the resolution. Was it something that you fixed yourself? Was it something they had to do on their end? What I am thinking is We got the email with our case number Friday afternoon and they didn't put it in the system yet. Anyways if anyone has advice that would be great! Either way I will keep everyone posted.

So I have a question for people who can remember the time they were scheduling the interview in Guangzhou - I'm looking at the calendar right now and see quite a few open dates for December. However I'm still waiting on getting an I-864 sent over here from a relative in America, and this calendar is a bit worrisome. Basically, it has a lot of days for December open but January and February say "unavailable" and are un-clickable. I"m not sure if this is just because those dates haven't opened yet, if the website is just coded very poorly, or if the office is closed during that time, or all the appointments were taken or what. When you were scheduling, were future months available/ clickable on this interface? Does it appear that January and February are all booked? Here's an attachment for what I am seeing just for reference: http://imageshack.com/a/img924/5120/NKIoxg.jpg

We have our P3 all ready to send to the consolate. It just occurred to us that the interview might coincide with some other important family matters. I thought about waiting to send the P3 in, but I don't think that's a good idea. Is it possible to postpone the interview after they have issued a date?

On step 8 of scheduling the pickup for Citic bank, using the travel docs website... When I'm entering the ID number sent to me from Guangzhou after our i-130, the website pops up with a message saying "The Case ID that you have entered cannot be found" I emailed the support at usatraveldocs dot com email address they leave for troubleshooting, and i got a semi-automated reply back. It appears they tried to do something - "We understand that you would like to schedule your interview appointment. Please note that your Case ID has been reactivated. Please type the Case ID in step 8 manually if needed, or refresh the web page in Step 8 of the scheduling procedures." However when trying again, I still get the same stinkin' ole error. Whatever they did didn't work. HOW on earth did everybody else get past this whole ID case number problem when scheduling a pickup with Citic? Not going to say "nightmare" just yet but right now it's definitely more like a pain in the neck... ---------------------------------------------- *edit* I noticed that on the left side of the screen, it says "First Available Appointment Is Tuesday October 10, 2017. " Does that mean I have to wait until that date, until I can schedule the passport/ DS-260/ passport copies/ 2 photos/ cover letter package pickup?

CGI old confirmation code problem
jeffzhang8716 posted a topic in Consulate Process: P-3 ~ Interview
Hello, I submitted the DS-260 online and get the confirmation code. Then I registered myself on the cgi website for contact info and pick up location stuff. I applied the tourist's visa before so I updated some of the info. After filled everything I got the confirmation letter but it's still the ds-160 confirmation no. I think that's my tourist's visa confirmation no. for the interview last time. Should it be the ds-260 confirmation no. cuz I submitted the ds-260 form? I have no idea how to update that one or it doesn't matter? The site says you won't get a interview appointment notice if the confirmation no. is not the same. Anyone knows this issue? How can I solve this problem. Thanks in advance!! Jeff- 6 replies

Hi All, I read in one of the older threads where the applicant was a foreigner who was also working/living in Beijing and had to travel to Guangzhou for interview. Since that was an older thread, writing a separate one as I have few other questions. Thread/comment link for your reference: http://candleforlove.com/forums/topic/46570-need-help-with-the-ds-260-workeducationtraining-section/page-2?do=findComment&comment=611143 He mentioned that after the visa was approved for him, he brought back passport with him to travel back to Beijing first and then from Beijing he sent his passport back to GUZ for the further processing. This was really good information for me(foreigner - living/working in Beijing), since I had been looking for such information as well (Being a foreigner adds up extra complications like this one...) However, my questions still remain unanswered..I really hope someone can help me on this one. 1. So if it was possible to bring back the passport after the interview, where should the passport pickup location be in CGI Stanley website - which we have to actually submit before the interview. My dilemma is, at this moment, I DO NOT know if I will also be able to get to bring back my passport and then sent to GUZ for the visa stamping process..I will most probably have to work it out with the VO on the day of the interview?! So, which pickup location do I select in this case before the interview, Beijing or Guangzhou..? 2. I called CGI Stanley if it will be possible to change the delivery address after interview in such case like mine. And they said it is NOT possible to change the delivery address after the interview... (OK! I know they can't but I was trying to explain if in such situation if the Consulate agrees to find me the solution, can I change then...and she almost got mad at me for asking such question..) !! Anyway, please let me know if anyone can help me on this. Thanks a lot in advance!

We are registering on the USTRAVELDOCS website to register our document pickup location with CITIC BANK. My Chinese wife had already registered on the website when she previously registered for her B1/B2 Visa that she received last year. When we completed the pick up location for her IR1 Visa the Transaction Confirmation page shows a DS-160 Confirmation Number/Bar Code and not a DS-260 Confirmation Number/Bar Code. However it does show her correct Visa Class is IR1 We are not sure if this will affect the processing of her IR-1 when we drop off the documents at Citic Bank. Anyone's advice would be greatly appreciated. ThanksMark

Background: Yesterday, we have received email from NVC stating that the interview is scheduled. Today, following the given instruction in the email, I went to http://nvc.state.gov/interview and downloaded the additional instruction for Guangzhou consulate. In this additional instruction, I have to get registered at CGI Stanley website. Problem: At the Step 8 of going through “New Application/Schedule Appointment”, it prompts an error stating "The Case ID that you have entered cannot be found". I double checked to make sure that I have entered the correct case ID. What now? Happy Holidays!!

I am a foreign national currently living and working in Beijing. I am currently waiting for the further process from NVC. but my immigrant visa interview will be held in Guangzhou. In order to plan my trip to Guangzhou for my visa interview as I cannot travel out of Guangzhou without my passport, I'd appreciate if anybody could share some information on the following: 1. When the application is approved, normally, how long does the process take in Guangzhou before returning the passport and visa to the selected pick-up location/CITIC bank of the same city? 2. Is there express delivery/process so that I can get my passport and visa earlier? 3. Could it be possible that we get the passport back on the same day of the interview and the visa packet should be picked up later from the pick-up location? Please do share your experience. I'd really appreciate. Thanks in advance!

So here's my dilemma... The whole K1 process has been going, until now, smoothly for my Chinese fiancee and I. Our documents were electronically mailed from the NVC to the consulate at Guangzhou, China and we got our notification. We then started completing and collecting necessary documents in preparation for the future interview as well as educate ourselves on the process a the consulate. We submitted the DS-160 online before getting the P3. Then sometime later (Dec 19th) we got the P3! requesting that we send them back a copy of the personal information page of the passport, 2 inch square photographs, and the letter they sent to us back to them. No more, cause submitting any other documents to the Consulate at this time would be destroyed. We got confirmation that they received them. Last week with no follow on instructions. We went to the CGI Stanley site and began filling out all the stuff and paid that 1 time fee. On Dec 29th we got and email, the P4, from Chief immigrant visa unit: "Dear Applicant, Petitioner, or Agent of record: This office is ready to begin final processing of the immigrant visa applicant(s) named above in this case. Please follow these steps to schedule and prepare for your visa interview:" We've done all of it already, besides scheduling appointment cause we can't, but when we go to the the page after the fee payment, receipt number is already there, all we get is: "There are currently no appointments available." I've been reading into this for hours and people have gotten the same message but they at least have a calendar, I don't. Also when my fiancee was looking into it she noticed other applicants say they had a "DS-160 confirmation number" on their "update profile" tab in CGI Stanley appointment scheduling site. I don't see that for us either. Also on the dashboard of the CGI Stanley site the payment fee still shows as $265. Does that mean I've paid that amount already or that's how much they still need. What should I do? Please help. Should I try to resubmit the DS-160?

Once approved and sent to Guangzhou from USCIS either through DCF process in China, or through NVC in the states, the Packet 3 and Packet 4 procedure has changed. This does not apply to already scheduled interviews that were set before (3/16/2013) http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/immigrant_visas.html http://ustraveldocs.com/cn/index.html?firstTime=No

K1 She has the DS 160 confirmation, mailed the required items to the consulate and went to the bank and paid the fee. She made the profile online and signed in on the page to schedule the interview and the website continues to say that an interview appointment can't be made. I know others had this happen too, but I don't know the solution to the problem.

OK, we filled out the CGI Stanley form, got a UID number and submitted the documents. Wow, I am impressed at the speed. Randy is right, they get down to business. The visa was issued. Bingning got a call / email /notification they don not know where to send documents. Ok. Looks like I forgot to include case number and did not fill out type of delivery and delivery address. .The passport is being held at the consulate. This is verified by the CGI Stanley website. Does just completing the form and filling out where to deliver complete the process? Do we need to call someone to help expedite this process? Is the premium service worth the extra cost? Pickup at a location is already paid, correct?

6/25/2015 - the CGI Stanley usatraveldocs information has been copied to a separate thread for those who entering that phase - CGI Stanley - Step by step Fen and her daughter had a 7:45AM appointment 11-19-2014, for CR-1, & CR-2, sent to us from the NVC, not scheduled through CGI Stanley. Guard said it was best to be there 30 minutes early, and we were. Up against window, not at the door for us. I had to wait outside, of course, once she went in. So I had to go back outside the gate and wait. After Fen and daughter went inside: First a girl checked all the papers and said we need to submit another white book and original of her birth. Not sure why, as they have 2 versions already. Then she took her to a white guy who was medium height, build, looks, just your average guy...(He could have built sandwiches at Subway) He spoke Chinese but said he preferred English, so most of the conversation was in English. He seldom looked up while he talked with her because he was flipping through all the documents the girl collected from my wife. She made him look several times. Questions: (Fen was not sure of order) He asked to look at pics, she handed him one of 5-7 books she had. Then forced him to look at another... He asked for what her husband goes by, what name, and she wisely said my middle and last name, skipping the first name. He asked her to spell my name. He said Ok after she spelled out D O U G L A S, so she stopped. He asked if she has ever been in the USA. No He asked where and how we originally met. She said Chineselovelinks.com He said OK, as if he was familiar with it, no problem. He asked how we contacted each other and she said 2-3 times a day, usually on sky (Skype) and sometimes the phone. He asked who called who, and she said I usually call her but sometimes she calls me. He said OK. (I think they don't like it if the USC does all the initial contact of each conversation, or if the Chinese does not know how to get hold of their spouse.) Where and when married, she explained all. He looked at wedding pics, but would not look up for pics of me with her family. He asked a second time if she had ever been in the USA. She says, No, but my husband has been to see me in China 12 times and then forced the guy to see our little short folder with 13 slots, 12 of which are full of travel receipts for me visits to her. She also told him a second time I was there now and showed my passport again. This time he looked up. It was the only 2 reactions she got out of the guy with a smile and an "oh?". (I wonder if my making some trouble made him really wonder if she had been in the USA illegally or not. I raised hell about Mexico to some of the USCIS agents over the phone in the past, and to Senator Cruz and my House Rep.) She got 2 white papers and a green paper. (We got 1 & 2 below sent thru local CITIC Bank 11-21-2014. We sent the email for #3 11-25-2014. Thus my busyness rather than post right away to you good folks.) 1) One white says she is preliminarily approved, which is a very good thing. They buy the relationship and I am not sure how they could not have. It also said to register with CGI Stanley, which I already did a few weeks ago, but of course there is trouble on their website when the NVC/consulate sets the appointment, IMO. I am still not sure Guangzhou can see that we are registered on CGI. I absolutely do not trust that website or anyone there!!! I think CGI is really for those living in China to file for immigration. It does not seem to work so well for us in the states who file through USCIS, IMO. Front & Backside 2) The green paper was for another set of 2012 & 2013 income tax returns, to be sent through CITIC Bank with the CGI cover page, WooPee CGI, wonder how much of my tax money you collected for that? We got that sent in Friday 11-21. She was told the reason was because there are two I-864 forms. She had the 2 original I-864 signed, and one set of 3 years tax returns, + an original & copy of a letter from my HR along with original & copies of my check stubs for all of this year. They kept the originals , He didn't want 2011, but a second set of the others. My gosh, web sites say to pay the $88 fee for AOS once, when a child is attached to the spouse, Yet, I had a govt. website wanting 2 payments so I did it, OK two sets of everything. Front & Back IV document submission is covered here - Submitting Additional Documents CGI Cover Page for submitting Documents through CITIC Bank Case Number is your GZO or GUZ number. She has to provide Chinese and English versions of her resume, & etc in step 1, and answer all questions in step 2. All this is to be scanned in PDF and emailed. My wife just received her CR-1 Immigrant Visa interview letter for the US Consulate Guangzhou, but when I signed on to CGI to schedule her interview, when I finally got to the last step to schedule the interview, it is showing “There are currently no appointments available”. My wife actually already had an interview appointment for July 7th, but I was not allowed time off from work for that time so I emailed the US Consulate Guangzhou and they replied back and said that they would send instructions on how to re-schedule the interview and we just received that letter this morning stating: "Dear Applicant, Petitioner, or Agent of record: This office is ready to begin final processing of the immigrant visa applicant(s) named above in this case. Please follow these steps to schedule and prepare for your visa interview:" And following the instructions the letter provided, I signed on to CGI, (where I had already created an account and selected a delivery address for the Visa), but after getting to the last step where I confirmed our case number, it is showing “There are currently no appointments available”. Because of the available times my company will allow me to take time off from work here in the United States AND I will need to apply for a Visa to go back to China again AND I will need to book airline tickets, we were hoping to schedule an interview appointment for the 3rd or 4th week of August. MY QUESTION IS: Will we able to schedule a CR-1 Visa interview appointment 7 or 8 weeks in advanced once dates become available? Would we be able to choose a specific date like August 24th or 25th? I will be going to China for about 2 and a half weeks, but I know we will need time before the interview for the medical exam and time after the interview to wait for the Visa to be delivered, so I was trying to have the interview date so we will have a week before the interview and a week after. Thanks for any information that anyone can provide. Mark Jacksonville, Florida

We are more than a week since receiving the nvc case # for the K1. No info. And, the CEAC case #/Invoice ID login does not work. So, just trying to be patient. When I called nvc back yesterday the woman told me 1) it was her first K1 and 2) we are supposed to contact the consulate. I am pretty sure that is wrong. I feel we are waiting for a letter.

Dear all, After completing the DS-260 online. I went through the next step to register a location for document pick-up. However, when I go to confirm the case ID, I get this error: The Case ID that you have entered cannot be found. Please confirm your IV Case ID to proceed with scheduling your appointment. Please ensure that you have been notified that your IV Case is ready for scheduling. If you receive an error message that your Case ID is not loaded, please be patient and try again at a later time I made sure that the case ID is correct. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance. Best regards, Julian

9-29 we got email informing us of the transfer of the case to Guangzhou, and an appointment for interview on 11-19. The letter also stated everything we need to bring. http://travel.state.gov says after the interview my wife will be informed about how to retrieve her passport and visa, if pass of course. There is NOTHING I can find referring to the cgi website where of course one must register and set an interview date and select the location or address for your passport/visa to be sent to. I am getting the silent treatment now because I growled at my wife last night over this, racking my brain searching all this stuff on these government websites, and https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=China does not seem to work for us. I got her a password working, but later could not log in to finish registering her with the full profile. It says the first available date is 11-3. Anyway I can't do anything there. My wife is worried that we need to select the address and ticked I haven't done. Help please. So, is this cgi thing done away with? No more scheduling your interview? No more selecting an address for the visa to be mailed to? Anything else?

This is such a terrific site! I just found it after completing my form DS-260 and sending in all the required information. I have searched for the answer to my question on this site an humbly ask for the following... My wife is IR-1 and my step-daughter is IR-2. I opened two separate http://ustraveldocs.com profiles for each of them, since my step-daughter will be 14 when we actually immigrate and they have separate case numbers. My question is this... how do I make an appointment match up or is it automatic? Do I make the same appointment time on both of their profiles separately? I know they should go to the interview together. Sincere thanks to you all!!!
