  1. Thank you so much for the info. Even answered the question that I'm about to ask.
  2. Thank you folks for all the info and supports!!! My wife finally received her VISA last week. In her passport, there are two VISA stickers, one is CR1 which was stamped with "Cancelled Without Prejudice", another is IR1 which is valid. My question is that is it the time to order green card now? I remember I have seen that the green card could be ordered and issued before entering the US. How could we do this? Thank you!!!
  3. We just waited, and then she received her VISA last week. Good luck to you guys.
  4. but the thing is that her medical was already expired. And when I send a message to ask if she should get her medical renewed now, they replied that we should submit the documents and wait for further instruction.
  5. WOW! Really excited! I really wanna suppress my excitement util we actually have the VISA in hands. Yaaaayy
  6. Hi guys, I had asked a few questions here after my wife's interview on Feb 2016. Thanks for all your supports. We finally gathered the required documents. One pain in the neck was police report from Kenya. Okay, background: She got the green slip, yes green paper not blue or white or pink, at her interview. The title is Final Processing Letter. It requested to submit required documents and my wife's passport. Question: Since they requested the docs and her passport together, does it mean the AP process will be done faster? How long will it take normally? Thanks guys!
  7. Her visa will expire six months after the date of the medical exam. If this is acceptable to you, you may not need a new exam. Thanks, Randy. She already submitted her first medical report in Feb 2016. So we could submit a renewed medical report with all the requested documents this time?
  8. Hello Folks, need some input here. I already see the light at the end of tunnel. Really appreciate it! Background: CR1. My wife had her medical on Jan 6th, 2016. And then she had her interview at Guangzhou, China in Feb 2016. Then more documents were requested. One of the requested documents was Police Report from Kenya because she stayed in Kenya for about 4 years. It took us about 4 months to get the police report in hands, finally. Right now we are ready to submit the requested documents. Question: As her medical document will be expired in about a couple of weeks, should her get the medical renewed before we submit all the requested documents? Thank you!
  9. Happy CNY everyone, my wife just finished her interview on Feb 2. She told me that she had a very nice VO. It went very smoothly. However, the VO requested to get Kenya police report as she worked in Kenya for a few years. Background: My wife worked in Kenya for a few years. It was around 2009. She left Kenya in 2013. She first went there as an volunteer to teach Chinese language there. After she finished her volunteer work, she got a job there. She never stayed in Kenya for more than 12 months consequtively. Problem: VO gave us AP after the interview, requesting police report/clearance from Kenya. To make it short, the Kenya police report is very difficult to get under the current situation. Question: The worse sitionatioin would be going to Kenya to get the report. Because it is a very corrupted country and the system is very inefficient, it might be impossible to get it even we go there in person. Is there anyway we could do other than obtaining the police report from Kenya? Do I need to consult with a lawyer now? Thank you!
  10. Thank you so much for the info, Warren. I have contacted the CGI customer service and they provided the proper steps: 1. Log in to your profile on www.ustraveldocs.com web site; 2. Select “Schedule New Application” option; 3. Select “Immigrant Visa - NVC Applicants only - Registration ”; 4. Select your visa category and enter the CITIC branch pick up location convenient for you or choose Premium Delivery service (chargeable)
  11. Background: Yesterday, we have received email from NVC stating that the interview is scheduled. Today, following the given instruction in the email, I went to http://nvc.state.gov/interview and downloaded the additional instruction for Guangzhou consulate. In this additional instruction, I have to get registered at CGI Stanley website. Problem: At the Step 8 of going through “New Application/Schedule Appointment”, it prompts an error stating "The Case ID that you have entered cannot be found". I double checked to make sure that I have entered the correct case ID. What now? Happy Holidays!!
  12. Hello everyone, I have been lurking and reading the information on this wonderful forum while I have been working on the I-130 petition for my wife. So, right now I'm also at the NVC process and I'm a little bit confused about the NVC Electronic Processing. Case background: Currently at NVC stage. Agent Chosen Affidavit of Support Fee Paid IV Fee Paid Working on VISA Application Form Online My Case Number Currently is Starting with GUZ Question: How should I choose to use the NVC Electronic Processing? How do I get my case number switched to GZO? My guess: Based on reading the info here, I should do: 1. Complete the VISA Application Form Online 2. Email the scanned AOS and IV package together to NVC. (This is the point where my case number automatically be switched to GZO) Do I have the correct direction? Are there any additional info I should know? Really appreciate you awesome folks here! Thanks!
