  4. Hi, I really appreciate your guys advice and help! I scaned my original marriage certificate (in chinese) and scaned a copy of translation in English which transaltor states translator is competent to translate Chinese to English and the translation is accurate. actually the translation is the one i used to sumbit to USCIS for I-130, and for all my own immigration related . But last Friday i got an email from NVC asked me to submit my marriage certificate. I called today twice, got the same answer- translation is not needed, just scan the original marriage certificate and email to NVC. "All documents not written in English or in the official language of the country in which the interview takes place must be accompanied by a translation in English. " 我的结婚证是中国政府发的, 面谈是在中国广州,属于 documents in the offical language of the country in which the interview takes place, 所以只要scan 我的结婚证原件就可以. Once again, thanks all your guys help!
  5. Does translation of petitioner’s marriage certificate need to be notarized? If so, how to get notarized? Do we need go back to China to get it notarized? We don’t have China passport and any valid ID except our ֤. We used to send a translation of certified by a competent translator to USCIS (including I-130), we did not have any problem. I sent the same translation copy to NVC, but I got an email which NVC asked me to send the petitioner’s marriage certificate on last Friday. I called NVC on last Friday night, the person who answered the phone told me she is not able to see any posting in the system at that moment. So I guess maybe my marriage certificate translation is not notarized. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
  6. I applied immigration visa for my parents, now the case is at NVC. I have submitted civil documents to NVC electronically. Now just found out my parents’ original birth notarial certificate and marriage notarial certificate were lost. They are over 70 and do not have birth certificate. Probably they can get another, but the new one will not match the copies at NVC , each notarial has unique number on it. Now I feel hopeless and do not know what to do. If anyone could provide any kind help or experience, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you advance!
