if this is indeed for your wife -- just remember that the EASIEST thing to do is to have a tech, in china, reinstall XP for chinese lanugage USAGE. Otherwise, yer gonna have to suss it all out (foreign language support, which IME she knows, proper IME selection, almost total switch out to chinese language) - the once 'cool thing' in doing this, is that it doesn't invalidate the current xp license. the 'stuff in china' usually won't be able to be 'properly licensed' - so if you're up to 'try' the changeover in the usa - I think it'd be worth it.

I must have missed something? Don't you have to have a NVC case number first, to even file the DS-3032 ? It'll start with either GUZ or GZO, depending. If you've not been 'assigned' a case # yet, check the AVR each day, until there is one.

well, if they send you an actual p2 postal thingie - I'm all up for putting in a frame and hanging it on the wall. then, on your next trip to china, hang it on the wall in the toilet in the airplane.. (no, no - don't let it join the mile high club, la) then - hang it on the wall on your new house in china. That document needs to travel, I think so... i have read on the USCIS 'case review site' (someone else has the url, I'm sure) that K-1s have been 're-approved' at USCIS, and sent back to the consulate (but was it GUZ? can't remember). What you've fallen into , IMO, is some standard stuff - at least it's approved now (i thought, also, you'd get some prior notices and paperwork, but they decided to approve your petition on it's merits, instead). ya - the name is used in the usa to denote a cable with 12 vdc AND a video feed, used in survellience systems. I'm spec'ing out a system for a farm recently, and 'that cable' is called a 'siamese' cable. Yours looks like a water connection, though.

Urban Legend, maybe statistical tracking and logging, but... If your physical case file is SMALLER and it goes out BY ITSELF (NVC to GUZ), seemingly it will get opened sooner. A LARGE package (several casefiles together, or a ton o paperwork for one casefile) seems to go on the backburner. is it a DHL issue? is it a 'receiver's' issue ? who knows? Now, I ain't saying it's so or it ain't so - but - that's what I remember reading here and on VJ.

It will vary, depending on way too many things, some of which are guesses, some of which also can't be tracked to time. Could be 1 week, up to 11 months. It all depends. Recently, here on CFL, it SEEMS that it's taking about ONE month to 6 weeks.

Some other thoughts - if you are inclined... MAKE BIG POSTER with her name in Chinese Characters and 'welcome home'.. Bring to AirPort, act like a Fan of a RockStar.. Bring a small gift to airport, also. She's gonna be exhausted when she gets in - and maybe hungry - so have some food ready, and clean sheets on the bed. She'll want and need a bath, so set out towels, shampoo and soap before you leave to pick her up. The drying rack will help 'remind her of home' when she decides to do a few loads of clothes washing. You may not need, she may not think about it, but if it's there, and ready, can avoid any arguments of 'how to wash my panties and bra? '

I'm guessing that info is now outdated, since you report a problem with it. I do know if you wanted to OPT IN for electronic processing, you'd have to send in an electronic DS-3032 (pdf file) to the address listed in the PDF'd url (in my first post here) - thats a special address for NVC-GUZ.. But if you don't want to go 'electronic' it may not be the 'thing to do'.

Ya, but... I can tow stuff behind my regular bike. see, I built this trailer thing. It's low to the ground, with a horizontal surface about 1 meter by 2 meters. I modelled it after this thing I saw in Singapore ( and hundreds of sightings in Wuhan) I built it to 'pedal my plants' ... or maybe 'peddle my plants'... I've no idea of the weight limitation, but I've had it fully loaded 4 times, hawking my wares up and down the street. dry/empty/unloaded, it weighs about 29 pounds. No, it's not electric. i do remember this last time - was about 70 plant pots, about 2 kg each. ( 2 kg * 70 units* 2.2 pounds per KG) . Don't be confused - this was a welding gig, I borrowed a mates gear and got it done. if I had to tow a boat, I'd want a smaller boat, and a mate to meet me at the docks with the motor... From where ? How did you notice? Were you run over or simply side-swiped? Did you spend 10 seconds reviewing the bike parking space? Perhaps that is what you are reporting on... Chilton - if he decides to 'go electronic' - then all of the documents collected at the NVC stage (electronically) - must be presented in ORIGINAL FORM on interview day. I say he go ahead and start the process soon, even with an 'iffy' police report - she can get another one any time before the interview. If she is really worried to 'help her daughter' with the baby - f*ck me - hire an ayi/aiyi/aiya/aya (an aunty to care for the baby) for about 800 rmb per month - it's like a live-in nanny.

police report is the only thing that can expire. if it's over a year old they require new one - if it's between 6 to 12 months old it gets 'iffy'. everything else is fine. no need to 'redo' . However - if there aren't notarial translation 'white books' for 1) police 2) marriage cert 3) divorce cert and 4) birth certificate... then yer gonna be stuck. can she make a short trip 'just for a new police report' ? If NOT - I think anyone IN her hukuo 'book' can actually request the report, pay for it, and pick it up - this varies by province, but.... it's worth a shot.

Sounds like yer not flying with her. This is perfect time to clean the house. Clean it twice. Then clean it again. Then bring in a crew to disinfect it. All of the cleaning is useful, but if she's keeping house 'chinese style' then it'll never be clean enough. With the work you've done so far, before she arrives, at least she won't have any allergic reactions. Got stuff from old relationships? throw it away now, or drop it off with a trusted friend. Dump your emails to/from 'other females'. Make certain they are deleted. Make doubly certain they are deleted. Copy your computer porn collection to a usb hard disk. Delete said collection from computer. Throw away your underwear. Buy new underwear, black color only. Throw away any clothes with holes in them (or convert to rags). Buy clothes hanging / drying rack for the bathroom, to be used over the bathtub.

Christopher - ya - totally different living conditions, IMO. e-bikes work in China well cause of 'distance' from home to workplace. So unless you live within a 5 mile jaunt to work, any type o bike will be a pita in the USA. Near as I can remember - the 'agent of choice', or DS-3032 form, takes about 1 month for the MAILING of it from NVC to the beneficiary. However, once NVC opens up the file, it is assigned a case number for Guangzhou. There is no signature requirement if you email it in - see http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form but.. with the new electronic processing guidelines, you'll might be emailing a scanned in form with signature... so - electronic for DS-3032, either way (email template or scanned form) is doable... So, If I was doing this, I wouldn't wait on the DS-3032 to be sent via postal mail to yer lass. I'd send something in electronically, instead. I noticed you had some bumps in the past - you now have opportunity to get the rest of 'this' finished up electronically, and shave off about 4 to 5 months of 'wait time' from this point forward ... i like e-bikes.. had one in singapore - was very useful, almost a 'daily driver'... 3 gears, nice throttle control, etc etc, with a bin in back for groceries.

What are you testing? They basically convert the high def programming to low def. Input is to the RCA plugs or Channel 3, and the channel selection is on the box. I'm testing a bunch of stuff with my video rigs.. uhmmmm, anything more - wei - that would be 'telling' ..
