  2. I was there a couple of months back, they are closed on Sunday.
  3. Today we received the pink approval. In GUZ, there's ~4 male consulate officers interviewing and one female. The female was taking about twice as long as the others. It also appeared that she gave out more blue/white. In our case, the male interviewer just asked, how'd you meet, how many times to visit and when, glanced through the pictures, and reviewed the tax forms while typing on the computer. One girl received the blue because her English was poor, they wanted more communication proof. She was trying for the K3. Another received the white, didn't get the whole story here, something about she had a chinese born, us petitioner, some previous relationships. I guess they had some doubt on her. It seemed more people with families would get blue. The single girls received the K1's easier. The timing for the day was, my fiance' arrived a little after 6 am, about 7:15 they start to let people in, the Chinese staff took the information when they call your #. The Chinese staff also asked each girl where they in the CCP and have they been to the US before. Then the wait, until the officers start to interview around 9 am. She was done by 9:30 am. I know some girls had been in the CCP before, when the Chinese staff asked they said no, because they aren't in the CCP now. If the officer asked they had some statements/data to show they aren't involved now. But, I didn't hear of any officer ask this. Good luck to all, we'll be in the US, Monday, I'm ready!
  4. Hey, my Chinese fiance' has asked me 3 times now... don't you need the single certificate. I said.... no I don't think so. That's just if I was going to marry in China, not for K1. All is required is divorce certificates in my case. She said on 001 it said others get. That doesn't make a lot of sense to me, I don't know anybody walking around getting single certificates in the US, or how to get. Anybody else do this, or more specifically is there any reason to do this? If so, how.
  5. Just ship USPS, don't send Fedex or UPS/DHL, they are much more likely to get searched in customs. I've sent maybe 40 packages to china, 38 by USPS no problem. 2 by Fedex, one was held in customs....
  6. Got mine today also!! See you there. 7. Hey, our case has the P3 sent on almost the same day. Don't worry about all that wait and see crap. Lots of people are getting the interview date in 2 wks, so you and I can call DOS everyday and ask. One day we'll be satisfied . That's why we pay those tax dollars so someone can tell us, No Interview Date.
  8. Misleading? Nothing misleading, find that the K visas are not being accepted by GUZ electronically now and you have some data. All I'm saying is what I was told by NVC. They said they are sending AND GUZ is accepting the cases electronically to send the P3's out. NOT waiting on the physical cases to arrive DHL, any weight. I've heard the weight discussion before, I'm sure it's true. If it's not accurate then the NVC contact was incorrect. It's that simple. My case, and several more I've reviewed on here recently appear to point like there may be a change. The more data we get, the more we are sure.
  9. Read my post!!! I just talked about the new process from NVC to GUZ, this is another example, thank you!
  10. This sounds to be a K# case and not a CR# case as the OP is posting about. NVC has always sent ALL cases electronically; but for CR#, they required the physical file in hand before starting anything; not sure if this was because of the optional K3 or what. But that they appear to be possibly sending the materials now electronically is good, but does not yet show what this means for timeliness. Historically, the CR# were discriminated against... so it may be about time they get their due reward for those willing to pursue it. And this was posted already by others.. but we do need members to continuous post their experiences and observations. My case is a K1 visa, what about your case, "brli"?
  11. We need someone that has their case sent from NVC within the last 2-3 weeks to confirm through DOS I think. I'm aware of the discussion, I asked DOS this. So unless the person just didn't know why it happened, she said it's new....
  12. After our petition left NVC, I contacted DOS just 10 days later. To my surprise, DOS stated GUZ has received. When we emailed GUZ with the standard form, they said no record.... So, I tried to call using the PIN system through the call center in Shanghai. The result, no record... Well, ends up DOS was right. DOS said they are using a new process transferring all the applications electronically to GUZ. I was glad to hear this!!! So sure enough my fiance' received her P3 much earlier then the 2-3 months we've all come to expect. Actually, It took just about 3 weeks. So, In summary.... Sounds like we have a new process from NVC to GUZ, DOS information is the best, others are delayed/suspect at best. Hope this helps! http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...l=&id=44336
  13. Yeah, just use the PIN system, it's easy to get through to "GUZ". But, who knows who you're really talking with in China. Thanks for your opinion on DOS.
  14. Our K1 Petition was sent from NVC to GUZ. Based on current cases, we felt that GUZ may have received the petition. We called GUZ, they stated nothing on record. So today I call DOS, they state, it's been received by GUZ and the P3 was sent out on May 5. So tonight, my fiance' called GUZ again to validate what DOS said. GUZ stated, no record of receipt...... SO.... who's correct? I think DOS would have to have evidence for all the facts they told me. Has anyone else had a similar situation?
  15. After reading this, we thought it was clear we made a mistake by submitting only one page of our marriage certificate, the page that showed only the information relevant to the marriage itself. The RFE specifically stated that in order for the marriage to be considered valid, it must have been registered with a civil authority from the location where the marriage took place. Given that there were other pages in the marriage certificate booklet, including a page that had been stamped and dated by the official who issued the marriage certificate, we assumed this was the reason the original submission had been rejected. There was a paragragh in the RFE quoted from the Foreign Affairs Manual that mentioned the term 'Notarial Certificate'. But in this context it came across as a reference on how to obtain notarized documents after the fact, where in our case we had what we thought was a notarized marriage certificate. We made new copies of the entire marriage certificate and then had those pages translated and notarized. Then we were denied on that 60th day. My favorite part of the denial letter was: (Which was funny in a sick, angering sort of way.) And then the jewel... ...Which would have been helpful had it come in the original RFE instead of what I quoted above. In the end we filed an appeal, got a notarial certificate, had to pay some more money, and the appeal was accepted and our case reopened in 7 weeks. Then accepted in 1 more week. Now we are embroiled in the NVC process. Wow, man that sooooo sucks. I bet you are really upset, but you must feel better that there's some resolution now. I would thing the NVC will be easy for you. I'm glad you shared that.
