1. Yup, K1 must file EAD with or after the I-485. I-94 expiratrion dATe HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. You either need to re-file the EAd when or after you file the I-465 or wait for the AOS (I-465) to be approved. Once AOS is approved your SO will be authorized to work.
2. What???? I thought you were hillbilly 148828 Southern Greece! 148861 So You must be a Greek Hill Billy aren't there some hills near Nashville ? 158441 Yup, I'm a greasy hillbilly!
3. If you had vaccinations in China bring your vaqcciantion booklet, transalted into English, to the cicil surgeon. He will update shots and fill out the I-693 vaccination supplement-put it in a sealed envelope and you are ready to go.
4. Yes, they will have the med packet and EVERYTHING else you ever sent them or they sent you at the AOS interview!!
5. As long as the med exam isn't over a year old--it's the same as K1.

11. My SO came through SFO and did not get the stamp. I think it is a JFK thing!
12. Teacher certification varies state by state. However, Chinese is an up and coming language and many colleges and universities may be looking for people to teach chinese. They have more flexibility in requirements and certifications from a US acreddited college may not be needed.
13. WaaaHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gheeeez, what took you so long?? Congrats man!!!!!!!
14. The marriage cert should serve to change her name on SSN. The SSN with her new name will work for bank account etc.. Utility bills and a joint bank account are good evidence when you file AOS. Also, mail sent to your joint address etc.
15. Chinajesse, I think what Ty is telling you is that you need to be very careful with these ileged shortcuts. They could indeed end up costing you much valued time in the long run. Also, you may wish to be a little bit more considerate of those trying to help you. We really don't need pissing contests--no one is helped by them!!!!
16. No time to go into detail now but things will go much smoother if you give the American kids ownership in assimilating the chinese one. Make them feel that you need their help making the adjustment period easier for the Chinese child. They will lose the jelousy thing and take pride in her becomneing one of the family. More later--gotta go
17. I'm not 100% sure but I think the vac sup requirments are for those becoming resident aliens. Sooo, if the visa category includes a greencard then yes, David is correct and they would need the vaccinations.
18. I was referrring to "that," which becomes "this." 156762 If that which becomes this is true then it must be true.
19. You really don't need an afidavit of support but it may help. I would use the I-134. It's waht GZ wants for otheer visa so it should do the trick.
20. Yes i have all of our marriage photos and celebration with his family , and of us together going out, etc. I do have the passport and tickets, visa to china, etc. My main concern is the financial part.... if you read my original post - is it enough? 156609 It all sounds like more than enough. Just to be safe include year to date income!
21. How about soem pictures of the two of you together and reciepts for china travel.
22. Right on Carl, If you wanted to start a political argument you could make the point that years of ignoring global warming 'The jury is still out on global warming' has led the waters in the Gulf of Mexico and the southern Atlantic to become 2 degrees warmer than ever before-thus creating conditions that are conducive for massive hurricanes. But alas you didn't say that so no potential fro a political brew-ha ha.
23. I followed the Frank method and included hers and both of mine. I really can't remember if it was needed either.
