Hey Bobby, I am also from S.C., I have sent a request to Senator Hollings and they have already contacted me wanting some specifics. I will call them today. My problem stems from not getting any information from GZ. DOS says my p3 has been sent, but GZ will not confirm, in fact they wont reply at all! Patrick

Opposite for me on the E-mails. Averaging over 7 days with sometimes no reply at all! I sent another one on Tuesday this week, hopefully they will confirm what DOS told me on the next E-mail. Patrick

Congrats Jerry, That is great news! I too am hoping i recieve mine very soon! DOS confirmed to me today that the P3 had been sent out. My only concern now is that it was sent out with her address in English. I have sent my wife many things with the address in English with no problem. Hopefully this wont be a concern! Patrick

I am not sure if i believe this. I talked to DOS today. They told me that my P3 had been sent out on 11-05-2003, She also told me that it showed in her computer that Guangzhou had replied in my E-mail inquiry that they had told me the P3 was sent on 11-05-2003. That is not true! Here is the last E-mail i recieved from them on 11-12-2003... Dear applicant, Thank you for your email. We have not received your file from the National Visa Center (NVC). We normally receive visa petitions between two to three months from NVC. Once we receive the petition, we will notify your wife by sending her an instruction packet. You can expect three to five months between the time we first receive a petition and schedule an interview. The Immigrant Visa Unit The DOS lady told me the E-mail sent from Guangzhou was dated 11-12-2003 stating they had sent the P3 on 11-05-2003! So now i am in a bit of confusion! Hopefully my wife will be recieving her P3 soon, I just saw where Jerry had recieved his today! Great news, patrick

I have read here where people call DOS to inquire about their petition. What is DOS? What exactly do you ask when inquiring? What is the DOS phone number? Patrick

Well it was very exciting here last week. P3's were being sent out, and everybody was feeling happy. I hope to soon hear news about the P4's being sent out. This is so excruciatingly slow. Like watching snow melt! Patrick

I think a lot of us here understand that feeling, unfortunately. It feels like you've just run a 100 meter dash, only to have the finish line moved another 100 meters when you get to the end... The only thing I can think of to add is that the future is uncertain. It may be another 6 months, but for all you know, you may sail through NVC in a month and get your P3 in another. My Chinese upbringing would say it's all up to fate or the heavens, and my Christian beliefs would say that God has a plan for all that happens. Either way, it's out of our hands... Just thinking aloud here....But just because you got your "E-mail notice" doesnt mean you have actually had your P3 sent out. It just means you are in the system now, Of course i am thinking in the best of worlds. In the best of worlds, once all petitions are in the computers, the computer would select the appropriate petitions. Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaw, Ain't no way Guangzhou would do anything that would seem correct. Damn, I hope i haven't fallen into that hole! Patrick

I dont know for sure what you need to do CL, but getting the appraisals done might be all you need. You might be right about the 125% poverty level being $15,000.00+. I am not sure! Use Google and search out the answer for exactly what ya will need for the I-134. I am sure it is there! In fact, go to www.docsteen.com I think you will find the needed information there! Patrick
