  1. Yeah I got a test today, that I really need to get a good grade on, its for my medical terminology class. Its already mid term week next week!!! This semester is flying!
  2. Ok she got the package and visa in hand, no more worries there. Only problem now is that I have her XRAY tube, and I am hoping they dont ask for it at the POE. Either way, I am going to be meeting her there.
  3. I think David Dawei is a DOS spy, he said my fiancees interview will go well without problems and he was right! Maybe hes got some CFL voodoo future telling powers!!
  4. Crap.... Sorry to hear that. Hmm it seems the package is at the post office and is ready for pick up. I just want to make sure that it is the package and not a blue or white slip along with her passport. Got this email from Guz just now. Please be advised that your beneficiary's visa has been issued, hopefully she will receive the visa packet soon.
  5. Hi Amaro, Yes she is petitioned also. We included her on the I-129f. Already have signed and notarized documents from her father. She is 9 years old and we are great friends...talk on QQ here and there. DNA test? Pictures of her and her mother from infancy? Surely you jest? No, I am very much serious. There was a guy there the same day my fiancee had her interview and his fiancee got a blue slip. The Visa Officer wanted to see proof that her daughter really was her daughter. So now he is in a limbo and the visa is delayed. So just prepping you for the interview, get the additional pictures or DNA test so when the VO ask for it at the interview, you got it.
  6. If you petition for her daughter in the future, make sure you have a DNA test or pictures of her and her mother from when she was a infant until whatever age she is now.
  7. Internal government affairs are probably not in the best interest of news agency. I don't think much will come from it
  8. Congrats and let us know if she was able to pick up the visa on Thursday.
  9. I called DOS today to see what notes they had in their system. Our case is officially under administrative processing. So yeah, its anyones guess on when she will get her visa.
  10. Well, we are waiting, on the 3rd week now and no visa.
  11. Yeah I am a catholic and raised one all my life. I told her about the conversion and she was cool with it. She is willing to accept it. She does not think this would be a burden or I am forcing anything onto her, if we do this, she would be able to get married in a church. Yes we would get married legally in court, do the AOS and finally the church marriage.
  12. Everyone has made excellent points. I will do what I intended to do and get my own place when she comes here. I have been waiting to get her here to get my own place so I could sign the lease with her name on it. Also, a place we can agree on together. And no, I don't know anything about Buddhism
  13. Well it looks like Dalian is a international airport, that being the case, she would go through immigration and they would stamp her out of the country. The only time I can imagine where she would need to recheck in is when she is flying out of a non-international airport and grabbing a connecting flight from a international airport. It could go two ways as well, since she is flying domestic, she probably wont go through immigration until she gets to shanghai. But I wouldnt worry and I wouldnt rely on the answers from anyone on this board unless they flew that exact route. She could and should just ask the attendant at the Kiosk when she checks in. They speak mandarin, she should and could also ask the flight attendants when she lands in shanghai if she should go straight to her next connecting flight terminal or grab her bags and recheck in. Information changes all the time.
  14. Oh if I told her we were going to stay in my parents house till we got a church wedding, she would freak!!! Realistically, it would be very hard for her to swallow.
  15. OK heres the deal, I currently live with my parents, and I am going to get a place once my lady comes. Well my dad just had a discussion with me, he is a very religious man. He says if I live with her and sleep in the same bed with her before I marry her in a church wedding I would be living in Sin. So I am like ok cool, whatever, we get married in church and then move out right. Well, I am not sure how long the baptism and communion and confirmation would take for her. I think like 6 months or something, because my brothers wife had to do it. So what do I do, crash at my parents place until she finishes that stuff, get married in church then move out? My parents are willing to give her the guest bedroom as her room. So in other words, no sleeping together for 6 months lol!!! I dont know what to do, I want to make him happy and I was going to do the church stuff later while I moved out, but he says it invalidates the point of getting a church wedding if we are already living together. What do you guys think I should do? Have her crash at my parents place, while she attends that church stuff, get married in church then move out, or Move out, worry about the church stuff later, who cares what my dad thinks, and get a church wedding later down the road.
  16. I asked the consulate when the visa would be ready and I got this reply. Please be advised that the issuance of your fiancée's visa is still under processing, and she will get her visa once it is ready for delivery.
  17. I also read on the DOS website that it can take up to 60 days for administrative processing. There are a couple of other chinese women on 001 talking about this long visa wait time as well.
  18. I found this on visa journey, could explain why we are waiting so long. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/277562-family-based-visas/ http://www.travel.state.gov/visa/bulletin/bulletin_5145.html
  19. Thanks for the motivational speech Tsap. Oct 8th now in China and still no visa 3 business days my butt, its been like 6!
  20. As most of you know, my lady's interview was on the 27th, and I was expecting to receive her package by the 30th or the 1st at the latest. That didn't happen and I ended up fly back to the states alone and upset. So now I am freaking out because on some "rare occasions, a blue slip or denial might be met at the post office upon pick up" With my luck, I wouldn't be to surprised. So, what was your wait time for your visa if you elected to pick it up from the post office in the beautiful city of Guangzhou.
  21. Hi Mark, I'm gonna be buying a home just outside Shenyang in a couple of months, getting married at the same time, and then moving over to live later next year. We are staying in the Shenyang area until "our" son gets through with his private schooling, then gettin' the heck out of that area. My question to you, since you've been to both see Dalian and Weihai..and you bought in Weihai...what helped you make your decision? My wife has been to Dalian and not Weihai and she really liked Dalian as it wasn't a dirty city like where she has lived all her life. I'd really appreciate your take on the two, and what made your choice for you and your wife. This isn't something that we're gonna be doing within a year of two, so I have plenty of time to get educated on both those areas. And, I've personally never been to either city, just looked them up on the internet. It's very interesting to me to hear from someone that has been to both cities. Congrats on your house and your trip. tsap seui What has since happened to these plans Tsap? I dont know if it was this post alone or just how you typed back then, but you actually typed using normal words. I hope your still on a good track buddy, your time will be soon.
  22. Hang in there Turbo, seems like your NOA1 is taking a little longer than usual, if you have online banking it's easy to see when they cash your check and it will come shortly after that, and most likely it will be on the one day you don't check your mailbox.... but this is the short part. Speaking of Sam....where is he? Haven't heard from him in a while. Thats a good question, he told me on facebook that he didnt come on here anymore. I wanted to ask him why, but I am in China, so no facebook.
  23. I wish we could come back together, that was one of my reasons for making this trip to begin with. I am leaving China on Oct 3rd. I already skipped out on a week and a half of classes. I am going to be drained from all the studying I will be doing to catch up. I got her flight date moved to the 22nd, hoping she gets the package by then.
  24. My luck stopped right after she got approved for the visa. While this is a minute downfall compared to some people here, we werent able to get the visa package back in a timely manner. Interview was on the 27th and we went there on the 30th and today the 1st with no luck on the package being there. There were some people who had a interview on the 29th that had their package ready. Lots of people the 27th as well. Did we just have lazy people processing our paperwork? My biggest concern since it has been 4 working days since her interview day is that they might have denied it or blue slip it while they were preparing the package? It is now Chinese national day here and the entire next week the consulate will be closed. So Guz got to me to, just a little bit.
