  1. I think the passport method might work because, you would just need to prove that the child truly belongs to you. When I was 17, my mom just showed her naturalization certificate and I was able to get a passport, thus becoming a U.S citizen. The only problem with this method is, if you ever needed a certificate of citizenship, you need to pay a nice $400 for it.
  2. Well I double posted, So umm yeah. It took her almost a month to get her a SS number!!!
  3. congrats! That was quick! I had to wait for my SO to get a SS number before we could get married legally.
  4. I think you should just say you were there in china to meet girl number 1 and you met girl number 2 at that time as well and thats about it on that topic. I say try to expose as little as possible in a good way and still be able to keep the story on track.
  5. Like I said before man, ours was a 2 week wait after pink and holidays tossed into the mix and that was with a normal pink from the interview. Now lets throw in your case in with some of the complications you had. I just think you guys got the short straw on this one as well. I would'nt worry about a white slip, it really is nothing but processing paperwork, dont quote me on that. I would just play a waiting game, I read somewhere that administrative processing wouldnt last more than a month. So by next week would be possible. Just keep checking the chinese EMS with the tracking number you were given.
  6. I always had to use the chinese page as well. Never worked when I tried the english page.
  7. Congrats! My lady passed on Sep 27th and she didnt get her passport back till Oct 13th, she elected to pick it up at the post office near the consulate. Her application was stuck in administrative processing. I say give it 2 weeks before you start to panic. Also, if you call the washington DOS number, you can ask them the status on the case and they can tell you its in processing.
  8. Hold on Tsapster!! It seems like processing has really slowed down since I filed for my lady back in April. I guess I filed at the "right time". Im sure your good at the waiting game by now so you probably arent too affected by this.
  9. I dont keep up with the politicians so I have no idea who would be the "best choice" Hopefully when I am older, I will understand better.
  10. Dont be discouraged, keep your hopes high. Some of the more senior members with chime in, but I believe if your case goes well with USCIS, it will be reaffirmed and sent back to Guz for another interview. Once that is the case, they can not deny you again for non bonafide relationship. However, if they come up with another reason then she can get denied again for that reason. So make sure all your t's are crossed and dot the I's if USCIS ask for more evidence or you have a round 2 with the guzinator. Good luck.
  11. Thats weird that they changed the reservation on thier own. I have used them multiple times for overseas tickets and never had anything like that happen to me. Anyways, hope everything works out for you.
  12. Wow, november group already, time really does fly!! Good luck guys, update us on your guz process!
  13. No where near Hong Kong, my lady is on the plane now
  14. I hope no "tonado's" spawn from it...get it? tonado, almost sounds like tornado....ahhh nevermind!! All joking aside, my lady was suppose to leave on friday at noon, but i switched her flight to thursday evening, because I didnt want to chance it.
  15. Hey, Amaro! My lady and her daughter also arrive at JFK POE on the October 22nd! What is your flight number? Maybe we can hook up for the wait at immigration. Their flight is Air China 981 due into Terminal 1 at 14:20. Let me know! I wont be there, my cousin will be picking her up.
  16. Congrats man, but jeeze, wait that long?!?!?! Good luck!
  17. You read my mind, I was actually thinking about that as I was reading your post. Hopefully, all the discounts plus being married and since she is a female will help the premium. Two more years till I turn 25 though!!! I just quoted a second car to my policy under my name and my monthly payments went up by about $116, I know thats very unreliable because we are talking about a whole different person here. I wonder if I could use that as a basis of an idea. Probably an extra $150 a month?
  18. Good Advice, I was starting to question the reliability on the Bugs. I was looking at Scion TC's and Audi TT's both are cute little cars.
  19. You know its funny. Its not truly over until she is within one arms distance from you in america. The flight I scheduled on the 22nd may be cancelled due to typhoon megi which would hit land fall right around the time she is scheduled to take off. She was going to leave from xiamen and catch a connecting flight from Hong kong to new york. Of course the typhoon is going to go between both those cities with speeds up to 70 MPH. Definitely not safe to take off or land in. So I got her on a flight on Thursday evening out of Hong Kong, hopefully they push that plane out before the typhoon comes. She takes off from hong kong at midnight.
  20. She always giggles with joy when I show her picture a of the VW bug, so I think thats the car we are going to go with.
  21. In less than a week my little honey bun with be here and we can rejoice together. So with that in the near future, she will need some transportation. I currently drive a coupe, so I don't have any room to lug anything around, not even a suitcase. So I was thinking about getting some type of crossover. I didn't want to get anything to big for her because of the obvious, bigger cars are harder to drive. I know I don't want to spend more than $10,000. So what did you get for your wife as a first time driver? You can list the cars as well that she had starting from the first car to what she is currently driving. If you did get her some nice expensive car, did she damage it severely which made you wish you had bought her a beater to start of with?
  22. I can you give you a great example of our obsolete infrastructure. In america, I have to deal with half-working obsolete cable internet. In Japan, one of my friends had the lowest plan DSL package which ran a Fiber Optic line directly into her home and the speeds were just amazing!!! Not to mention mass transport, our only real option to get from point a to point b would be an airplane.
  23. U.S.A is number 1 and will always be the worlds superpower. Well that's the end of this thread.
  24. Going to fly into JFK on the 22nd, and I will fly up there to meet her. We will stay in NYC for the weekend then leave on sunday to florida.
