Exactly she has a big family and most of them wanted me to move to China instead of her coming to the US. There are also work obligations to consider. My supervisor almost had a nervous breakdown covering for me. He will need several months to recover before I can go away again. JBHypno

She has the visa. She has decided that she wants to wait until after the Chinese new year to come to NY. I am planning to bring her around Valentines Day. If I wait any longer I will need to renew my passport first before I can get a new visa. Her visa expires on March 25h. JBHypno

GUZ had an I-864 on file that I submitted in 2008 but they wanted one specific for the current year. In her first interview one of the reasons she was given the white slip was for her english. We overcame that and proved that she could speak english to USCIS so GUZ couldn't deny her any more using english as an excuse. So I guess they didn't bother making her conduct the entire interview in english since it wasn't an issue. The one english question was "What did you and your husband do yesterday?" She answered "We were at the airport" My flight to Shanghai had been delayed so I hadn't arrived in GUZ until the previous day. So it was an easy question for her to answer.

It's the holiday. My wife was told she would have to wait until Thursday to pick it up at China Post. Even though the consulate was open on Wednesday there were no officers working until Thursday or Friday as far as I know. There was just general staff there on Wednesday.

My wife's second interview was on the 30th. The interview went well they asked her one question in english and conducted the rest of the interview in Chinese. She passed the interview but they decided that they needed an updated I-864 from me. She had 3 years of tax documents and a copy of the I-864 they already had on file. So they gave her a call back letter and I typed up a new form and reprinted my most recent tax form. Unfortunitly since it was a holiday we had to wait until Wednesday the 6th to go back and turn it in. When she got there she discovered that only general staff was working that day and they couldn't offically approve her. So they gave her an appointment slip to return on Friday. So we went back on Friday. She was in for about 15 minutes and got the Pink. But since it was a holiday she has to wait until Thursday to be able to pick up the visa. I had to come back to the US on Saturday so she will have to pick it up without me. I am just glad it is finally over. JBHypno

I am not sure what rate we will be getting yet. Their web site is too slow from the US and when I tried to use an english site to book to closest one to the consulate it said no rooms were available. My wife has a VIP card so we get an extra discount when booking direct with 7 Days. I will let you know what rate we get. JBHypno

When I have to stay a night in Shanghai there are always several hookers in store fronts near the hotel. Always saying Hi as I walk by but I think that is all they can say in english.

Most likely will be staying at the 7 Days Inn.

I'll be arriving on the 28th but most likely will be too busy finishing preping my wife for her interview. Have to see how things go.

Hi, Me and my wife Feng will be in Guangzhou for our 2nd interview on the 30th. We would like to know if you have a room available on the 29th. We would like to spend the night before the interview close to the consulate. Thanks, Jason

Add me to the list. 2nd Interview Sept. 30. Last day before they close until the 5th for Chinese National Day. Looks like if we get the pink will have to wait at least until the 6th for the visa. JBHypno

Our second interview is Sept. 30th. Does any one know if any portion of the visa fees need to be paid again in Guangzhou?

I took a train last time too. Most likely will be doing it again soon.

Confirmed with DOS she is finished with AP and is now pending assignment of an intewrview date. Almost time to go shopping for my plane ticket. My poor wallet. JBHypno
