  1. Hi again CFL, Sorry I took so long to post how the interview went. I haven't really been on a computer to myself in a while after coming to the US. Anyways this is how it went down in GUZ. We stayed at the Yang's and they were AMAZING! Mr. Yang went through all my stuff, and said that I had a 99% chance. Well he was right! The next morning my wife, and I, arrived on the line outside the consulate at about 7:10 AM. We waited online until she got on the other line that enters the actual consulate that is upstairs. I went over to the "coffee shop". I hung out there for about 2 hours waiting all nervously. She finally came out trying to act like she didn't get the "pink", but could not hold it in haha! Her interview story. She was in the lobby waiting for her number to be called. While she was waiting she was observing other people, and how they were being interviewed. She noticed that the majority of people who were interviewing seemed bored and restless, and said that the consulate officers were the same. She also noticed that the majority of people were getting either blue or denied. Only 4 visas were issued before her. When she was called she went up to the window very alerted and highly positive. She said that the consulate officer which whom was a man, just went from to right when she approached the window. The visa officer then asked her why she wanted to go to America. She replied saying that she has been with me in China for the past 8 years and that it's time for us to go home with our daughter. The visa officer also asked her if she could sing and asked if she could sing English songs. She replied "only a little". Then he asked what is our plan when we arrive in America. She then passed him the letter I wrote saying what our plans were. Then last thing he her asked if I can do Kungfu, and she said yea a little. While picking up the pink slip he then said WOW, and asked how long does it take to learn kungfu? My wife was like I dunno and said a long time. He gave the slip and didn't even congratulate her or anything. She left all happy THE END. My wife also said that when she left he like turned off from Positive back to negative again. We believe that if you have all the required documents in your kitchen sink, and are a VERY positive and SMILEY person you shouldn't have any problems getting your visa. My wife said the consulate officers reminded her of her teaching job. You get those boring and un-excited students that make your job boring as-well, then you get those positive and fun students that make your day interesting. She saw that in the visa officers while she was waiting in the lobby. Anyways that's what pretty much went down, and our 2 cents on the whole thing. I am at work now so I had to make it as brief and understandable as possible. My spouse, and I got a job together at a law firm marketing and dealing with Chinese clients. Luckily I can speak Chinese. We are in Vegas, and my wife, and daughter are loving it so far! Thanks again CFL!
  2. All that worrying for nothing~ Was an easy pink for my wife. I just got back from a 36 hour train ride so im dead tired atm. Ill explain how it went later on after I get some rest. Thanks again CFL!
  3. Yea we are hoping all goes well too haha! Yeah most infants get IV's in their foreheads and their feet, because they move too much. The worse part about the IV's is that they usually don't always get the needle in right the first time. I have seen doctors/nurses, give babies injections 6 times before they got it right... Western medicine is FTW! Anyways the train to GUZ leaves in about an hour from now, so I'm off till the 15th. Ill be sure to let everyone know how it went. Thanks again for all your help CFL! Peace ~
  4. Yeah.. I am just going to bring what I can. I have no other options at this moment. We are leaving to GUZ tomorrow. Hopefully we will get pink, but I will not be surprised if we get a blue slip. I will be disappointed however cause, we really want to get back to the states asap. Every time our daughter gets sick she gets a high fever, and the medicine where we are located sucks. They have to give her meds through an IV every time. It's so painful to watch Anyways I want to thank CFL for all the help! Ill be sure to keep you guys posted on what happens after GUZ. Thanks again
  5. Ah, I now understand lol. Well I know for sure he hasn't filed an extension, so I guess I'm out of luck then. So him printing out form 1040 then filling it out with his estimated income for 2009 will be of no use? Just to be clear, the form would be scanned directly to me and of course would not be sent to the IRS.
  6. It's definitely worth trying. I can't see why it wouldn't be acceptable when it shows your income for the past 40 years. I need everything I can get now since my father wont be able to provide a completed 1040 for 2009, I will be sure to try and hope for the best. Thanks again for the advice
  7. Wow I have never heard of that before! It sounds epic for a situation like this. How long does it take to get that statement after requesting it? Thanks! NVM I just checked the SS website and it says it takes up to 2/4 weeks for the statement to be mailed back to you. So I called to see if I can expedite it and they said no, but however I could bring in completed SSa-7004 form to them and they could print out the statement right then and there.
  8. WOW 4 >_> That sounds like a nightmare! One way or another ill eventually get my spouse the pink! I can't make assumptions that I'm going to be getting blue right just yet. We still haven't tried yet. My concern is money though. If we were to get blue would we have to back for another interview and re-pay the $445 dollar fee again? We are also way up north so we gotta send about $300 dollars just to get to GUZ, not to mention hotel fees and etc. I'm going to still going to see what I can do in the mean time, and as I said before we will try our best! Well, I just got off the phone with my pops, and he told me he will be scanning his 1040, with an estimated income amount for 2009. He claims he knows nearly the exact amount. Hopefully this will work.
  9. I will go head and try to see if he will fill out the 1040 with his best estimated income for 2009 then. I was also thinking if he could file an extension and use that with his letter of why he did not file for 2009. I am assuming it would be too late since Apr 15th has passed... Sigh.. I don't know what I can do now. Either way I am most definitely going to be trying my best! Thanks again for your help
  10. No he has never even filled out the 1040 form. He just may know his income for this year. I can see his income from the 2009 W-2 Wage and Tax Statement, and from his 1099-R. If that makes any sense?... lol I am sure he can fill out the 1040 form with a pretty accurate estimate of his income for 2009. Shall he fill it out and scan to me without sending it to the IRS? What would be wrong with signing it btw? Thanks for trying to help me Randy. I am sorry if I don't understand everything right away or make any sense. >_<
  11. I am not 100% what you mean to be honest... I am have no knowledge of tax filling and what not. I am an idiot But do you mean he should just print out a 1040 fill it out with his estimated income for 2009 and then scan it to me?
  12. Right thanks! Ill try and get my father to get a letter from his boss. I doubt he will make it in time though... His 2007-2008 tax returns do show that he has been with the same company for the past 3 years. His 2009 W/2's also show that he is with the same company as-well. The problem is though he was laid off for a little bit this year, and has made about 65% of what he made for 2007 and 2008. Even if he comes through with his employment letter, are our chances for a blue high? Or does it really depend on the VO's mood? lol
  13. According to my father it will be impossible for him to get his 2009 tax returns in time. He hasn't gotten an employers letter also. If he were to get a letter from his employer how should the letter be written? Oh and no he has been with the same company for 12 years. He was however laid of for about a half year this year but started working again for the same company about a month ago. He is in the union as an electrician, and has never been laid off in all of his 12 years in his company.
  14. My father is the joint sponsor for my spouse. As I mentioned in other post he didn't come through until a few days ago and scanned me his I-864 and the required document. I have noticed an un-fixable problem, and am now very much worried about the interview. 1: He provided a copy of his 2007 - 2008 tax returns along with his W2's for those years. What he didn't provide is his 2009 tax returns... However he did send me a copy of his 2009 W2's and one most recent pay stub. He also scanned a letter with his photo ID card on it. the letter reads, To whom this may concern, I ( n a m e ) certify that I have not filed my 2009 tax returns because I am awaiting certain documents which I have not yet received. I do hereby state that I will be filing my 2009 tax returns just as soon as these documents become available. Sincerely, ( n a m e ) ( Photo of ID card ) I am sensing my spouse is going to be seeing more blue than pink now because of this issue. Oh yes and the signature page 8 on the I-864 is a scanned copy as-well Is there anything possible we can do to assure ourselves we will not get a blue slip based upon this matter? We got 6 days until the interview date...
  15. Well our interview date is in just 8 days from today. I am getting a bit nervous now lol. We will be taking a 36 hour train ride to GUZ. I have a few more questions before we go, and am hoping someone here may have an answer. 1: My father is our co sponsor since I do not meet the 125% poverty line. He didn't come through on the I-864 until yesterday, so my spouse will not be able to bring in my fathers original I-864 to the interview. She will be bringing in a scanned copy of the I-864. I've asked this question before, but I want to know how much this could effect us on getting the pink. Has anyone here used a scanned copy before, and if so how did it go? 2: My intent to Domicile is weak. I am still not satisfied with it. I only have 2 job interviews awaiting in the US, job resume from monsters.com, photo's of my mothers place where we will be staying, and a letter from my mother stating she will be allowing us to live with her for as long as we like. Is this going to crush us? 3: My spouse, and I, had a daughter together 2 years ago. Will my spouse need to bring in proof that she is our daughter? We only have her birth certificate, and some medical records of when she was born. The only problem is they haven't been translated or notarized. The birth certificate however is in English. 4: Does anyone have the contact info to the Yangs? I couldn't find it on the forums. 5: How long would my spouse have to leave China, if and after she receives the IV? Anyways we are going to try our best. If we fail we would have wasted a lot of time and money into this, but at least we tried. Hopefully we will pass this! I will keep you guys posted on what happens when we come back from GUZ. Thanks for all your help CFL! I truly appreciate this site!
