  1. Do you guys know what european countries or other asian countries our chinese spouse can travel to with just a chinese passport and green card.
  2. Wow that was absolutely brillant!! I would have love to been there. I am not much of a caddy fan. However, my favorite car from caddy is definitely the CTS-V.
  3. You bring up some good points James, but you have to remember. The only information the VO has on you is on ink. Its not like they dont know you were married. Its in the system, you filed taxes jointly before with your wife right? I dont think this would be news to the VO that you were married at the time you were chasing tail in china. The VO is probably expecting more of an explanation. You've won me over with letter #2 and letter #1 has great information about how you two met. Ill let some of the other members give you their opinion if your adding to much fuel to the fire.
  4. The reason I brought this subject up to begin with was to deter the possibility of the OP getting slapped with a non-bonafide relationship. While you raise good concerns as far as why didnt he just get married in china after spending so much time with her in china versus filing a I-129f petition instead would probably be valuable information to include in the EOR. I like your 2nd letter because it gave your story more depth onto what was really going on in your life. Not to mention you never know what the VO could be thinking. Soon as he reads something like that he might automatically assume that the petitioner is a bad guy and will probably just dump this chinese women down the road and end up finding another women to marry. The only thing I was suggesting was to add some solid facts to the story so atleast the VO knows the petitioners side, because you know, the petitioner will never get a chance to explain himself to the VO. If you got the story straight from the begining and your fiance is on the same track as the story, then everything should be golden.
  5. Thats good, but there is one thing that stood out the most and I already want to know more about (imagine what the VO would think). So it seems according to your story, ever since you met her you were married to your wife in the U.S and you were pretty much having an affair? If I was you, I would write another letter explaining your desire to break it off with your wife and why you started seeing this other women while you were still married to your wife. I obiviously dont know your whole story, but your wife must have been either A) devastated to hear that you wanted a divorce because you found someone in china or b ) glad to hear you want a divorce because she probably has another guy as well or C) both of you should have not got married to begin with because there was no spark between you two and now both of you realize this. Either way, you really should explain what was going on back in the U.S while you were living with this women in china up to the point where you told your wife you wanted a divorce. If I misunderstood your story, then ignore this message.
  6. Write a novel if you have to. Just make sure you write an EOR that gets down to the point on exactly what and how things happened. You dont want to get so far in the visa process to only get turned down for a really dumb reason. Reading your post, gave me bad memories about Guz, I dont know what I would have done if my fiance at the time got a white slip. I tried to think of everything and anything that could come up that would be a concern and planned ahead for it. Better to be safe than sorry. Dont take the easy or lazy way out.
  7. I was on MSNBC the other day, and I saw a news video on a lady that kept her husbands body frozen for 10 years after he had died so she could collect his pension, it was the only way for her to survive. They discovered the body after she died, she had left notes around the house saying how sorry she was.
  8. I believe there was a thread around here or somewhere that stated the homebuyers tax credit wasnt a great deal at all. I believe you end up paying it all back to the government down the road. I could be wrong.
  9. The only thing your risking when you try for a walk-in is some gas and your time. It really wouldnt hurt to try, they arent going to put you in jail because you showed up when you werent suppose to. The only thing I recommend anyone to do is try atleast once if you cant wait or arent able to make the date they gave you.
  10. Ah I was too late. I wanted to tell you to do a walk in biometrics. I couldn't make my date either so we went yesterday instead of Feb 1st. Iive in Orlando and there was no one waiting in line when we got there. You should have tried to show up after 2pm on Thursday or Friday

    Hello

Are you sure your the same guy in the avatar? you guys look like a completely different couple!
  12. In your case, we are talking two applications, the package gets separated in chicago ro at NBC and sent two different departments. The I-765 and I-485 are now in separate places. Well at one point they were together, and I am sure someone screened the paperwork, because I definitely didnt seperate them in a way in which it was obivious what belonged where. Someone had to look at what was in the stack in order to get it sent to the right place.
  13. I just posted about my RFE as well. All they had to do was make a copy of the I-94 and visa entry that I included in the our file. Instead they gave me a RFE to mail them one. Lazy government workers in my opinion.
  14. The day I mailed out the AOS and I-765 package, I was sure everything was there. I came back home and wanted to make a copy of something and soon as I opened up my copier, I saw a photocopy of her I-94 and visa that I had copied earlier. I had grabbed that one to make a copy for her I-765 application as well and just forgot to pull it out of my copier and add it back into the I-485 package. So as I sat there, I dreaded that might give me a RFE for missing that in the I-485 package. However, I thought to myself, well ya know I did include a copy of it, it just happens to be with the I-765 section of the package that was mailed TOGETHER in the SAME package. Well sure enough, I got a nice yellow sheet today. I am not too worried about it because she already has a biometrics scheduled and when I checked the status on USCIS website, there is only a RFE placed on her I-485 case and her I-765 is processing as normal. To us, the EAD card is more important and almost has the same privelages she has been waiting for. Being able to work and drive are the big ones. Anyways!! I am just ranting!
  15. There are also games on skype you guys can play.
  16. I agree, Japan is really expensive right now. With a $1 to 83 yen ratio, our money doesnt go very far. I would say $500 for a 3 day stay in Japan easily. The servings of food are very small in japan, so you will see your self ordering 2 entrees for 1 meal. If you go to tokyo, its best to use the subway and trains. Taxi's are crazy expensive, they charge you 500 yen just to sit in the taxi, and that gets you about 1/4 mile before it starts going up 60 yen every 1/4km or something crazy.
  17. As Dan stated, just make 1 each of the police report and single certificate and get 3 copies of the birth certificate. One for K-1 Visa, one for AOS and one for your records.
  18. Have you got a NOA2 yet?

  19. I didnt really want to post on this because I wanted to see how this thread would turn out without my input. However, since I have been scrutinized for my actions in a lost in translation kind of manner. I shall clarify the matter at hand. First, college is not a waste of money, unless you get a degree in underwater basket weaving. Some of you may know (or not know) I am a full time student studying occupational therapy. Some of the classes are challenging and others not so much. Like most of you said, it is all about comprehension. She needs to expand her knowledge vastly before she can undertake a course of study such as nursing. Its not just about reading as well, you need to be able to follow instructions in ENGLISH. She is a very smart girl, and if this was china and everyone spoke mandarin,"I would tell her do your best honey!" However, this is not china and mostly everyone speaks english. I just think that since she is a FOB(Fresh of the boat) jumping into a course of study such as nursing would be a hurdle for her. If anything, I wouldnt mind her taking some core general ed classes and see how she does. If she gets A's with little to no effort, than sure, enroll into a nursing program. If she struggling to get a C in General Psychology, than we might want to reconsider her options. Once again I am not discouraging, just laying it down the way it is. Imagine turning the tables, and I was able to speak middle school level mandarin and I told her I want to study to be a doctor in china. She would probably tell me the same thing, I would need to be able to speak/read/write mandarin at a fluent level. I just wanted to add, I do want her to go to college here in the states and get atleast a A.S degree in something!
  20. Get Sprint. $80 a month for unlimited everything. Can't go wrong with that
  21. Hmm it also says the Motorola cliq requires a data connection as well.
  22. I used to have At&T for many years, but once i heard about this HTC EVO 4g, I cancelled my service with AT&T and got a contract with sprint. They offer very affordable plans and the service is decent as well. As far as android goes, I believe in my opinion, HTC + Android make a great couple. Any other manufacture is a meh. Now as the selection you have there, to answer your questions. Yes it will work in china because it is a Quad Band GSM phone, I believe thats the frequency china uses. China Mobile operates on GSM 900/1800. Yes you will be able to access the internet on your phone even if you do not have a data plan, as long as the WiFI signal is also connected to the internet. You will need to ask Tmobile to give you the Unlock code as well after you have the phone for a couple of months. They might give it to you right away. Once you unlocked the phone, you can pop in any sim card that you wish, as long as the phone support sim cards. As far as the phone goes, I wouldnt buy it because it has the old Android 1.5, which sucks. Slow processor and it got a 2 out of 5 stars on Tmobiles website. Ill throw out a couple of phones out there that got excellent reviews. My suggestion, if one of my recommendations will set you back $100, I suggest you do it if you like the phone. You get what you pay for. T-Mobile® myTouch™ 3G Slide - Black Motorola DEFY™ with MOTOBLUR™ Those are the only two that I recommend on the cheap side.
  23. Have I ever. My fiance had her visa approved a week before national day, which was like a 4 day holiday in china. she didnt get her visa until 3 weeks after she got approved. If she has been waiting a week, than she might get it issued before they go on their holiday break, or a couple days after they come back. it might take 2-3 weeks from the time the visa was approved. If it has been a Month+, then start to worry. Some people are just really lucky and get their package 2-4 days afer their interview, and some people get completely screwed.
  24. My lady came on a K-1 visa, I had the information transcribed onto the I-693 from the DS-3025 that was marked incomplete for not enough time interval to complete the shots. The lady sold me on giving her a TDAP and MMR to finish the series and I had to get her a influenza vaccine. The shots and the paperwork ran me $220. I figured she will need it anyways when she starts school so meh. Better to be safe than sorry. Also if you can find your county health department they are usually cheaper and might know the procedure better. Thats where I went.
  25. Here is a link to the florida practice test. Should pretty much be the same all around. http://www3.hsmv.state.fl.us/exam/index.cfm
