  1. No - they will simply transcribe the shots from the yellow book on to the vaccination supplement - it's actually the I-693A - and put one copy in a sealed envelope, and give you a separate copy. The CS will have the forms. Thank you. Called around on Friday and got prices of $200 for complete medical which I disputed and then they lowered to $75 (unless, as Surgeon General said, my Fang needs other vaccinations). I was amazed at how quickly they want to push for full medical! Thanks for the heads up!
  2. Thank you so much Dan! Fang only has yellow book. Everything else collected at POE. Does surgeon general require anything else? Any shots needed? I do have I-485 instructions and I-693 form and will start calling around today. Am I good to go? Thanks!
  3. One last question if I may? Shall I list my wife on I-864 Question 24b and then check Box 24e, or just check Box 24e and write N/A for 24b? Thanks so much for helping me to see daylight with forms! (fyi, my income above $40k, so not listing assets) Michael, I think you can just leave 24b blank and put her name in 24e as you indicated. If you're not comfortable leaving it blank, then NONE would be more appropriate I think. OR You could use form I-864EZ and not have to worry about it.
  4. Read from fellow member previous post in outline of AOS contents. Thought it was just the little yellow book? Am I wrong? What am I looking for, as I am nearing completion of AOS package? Thank you all!!
  5. Michael up for air I see?? Not far behind then I can ask you questions after you figure all this out?? Mark and feng!! Barely....work has been a bear, and squeezing in many other things early am and after work. Thanks to all of you, I am nearing completion of AOS forms and soon to gather all required documents for folder assembly. Just can't seem to find much time, but still loving life!!! Hope my previous questions are of help and we are always here if you need more!!! Thanks : )
  6. I agree completely. I filed after first visit. Second visit was for interview which allowed me to be there to support my gal and give her my passport to hand to VO. All went very well.
  7. Thank you all!!! Love your timeline Dave & Christine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. One last question if I may? Shall I list my wife on I-864 Question 24b and then check Box 24e, or just check Box 24e and write N/A for 24b? Thanks so much for helping me to see daylight with forms! (fyi, my income above $40k, so not listing assets)
  9. Dan you're wonderful!!!! Thank you so much for taking all the time to reply and for your abundance of help!!!! I DID, infact, research all of this, and found so many conflicting answers on different websites, that I just had to post!!! Thanks again for helping to finalize something that needs to be sent out soon. Visa expires on March 15th and I am told not super important to file before, but probably a good idea. Don't want to wait till last minute and hope to have everything perfect to send soon! Thanks again!!!
  10. Lee is correct, I apologize. Misread your question. Yes, (Name, and Signiture of Person Consenting) This would be your wife. Thank you so much again!
  11. Finalizing these forms and was hoping someone can shed some light on a few remaining questions? I-765: Question 1: I'm assuming we use new married name? Question 4: Country of citizenship? China? sorry if this is stupid question! Address I wrote previous to this is here in the US. Question 10: Is Alien Registration number same as I-94 number? I-131: Part 1: Question 1: A#? I-94? Question 5: Use maiden name? (not married name so name matches passport?) Part 3 Question 1: Date of departure/Question 2: expected length of trip? Part 7:On seperate sheet, state how you qualify for an advance parole document? Question 1: More than one trip? G-325A: File number...A? What is "A" number? Applicant's last address outside the US of more than one one year? Isn't this the same as previous question "applicant's residence last five years?" I-485: Part 1: Address-C/O? Is this my "name" since street number is requested next? Part 3: Nonimmigrant Visa Number? Is this her passport number since she does not have visa number written anywhere on her visa? I-864: Question 6: Alien registration Number? A- is this I-94 number? Question 21h: Household size? Numbers add up to 3???? Shouldn't they only be 2??? Question 25: Best to only show 1 year??? 2nd year self-employed...not great...3rd year decent. Thank you so much everyone for your help to finalize these last questions. Tried samples at visajourney but not very clear! Thanks again!!! : )
  12. I'm just starting to look at this form now and think File # to be kept blank? Is my wife the applicant or beneficiery? How do I fill out the bottom?: such as :The above consent to disclosure...following matter: ??? Seems like same answer as checking box #4???....I am the applicants husband and sponsor and she has authorized me to act as her representative? Name of person consenting? My wife? Does this only get filed with I-765, I-131, and I-485??? or also with G-325A and I-864 too??? Thank you!!!
  13. Thanks so much!!!! AOS now....hope you all are well!!!
  14. Thank you both!!!! Good to be back...working on papers as we speak...a little each day. Life is still busy and I want to have a nice weekend with my new beautiful wife!!!!
  15. Got married this morning at courthouse in Delray Beach, Florida and it was really quite nice, and in good taste. (not "wham-bam thank you mam") Went outdoors for vows, and sweet gal from Courthouse took pictures. Afterwards we went to Social Security and applied for SS number with application prefilled (online form downloaded) using my gals first name, middle name as her former last name, and her new married (my) last name. (Courthouse gave us notarized form indicating marriage certificate soon to be sent) and we had no problems with this being processed with her new married name! This was our first application to social security since her arrival Dec 18, and just to let you know, we also checked box "Legal Alien ALLOWED" to work". Seems like no issues there either. Just wanted to share our experience and hope this helps someone. Must get back to our honeymoon night!
  16. ...and you too!!! Hang in there...I know exactly how you two are feeling!!! : ) You've got great wishes going your way from all of us here at CFL!!!
  17. Congratulations!!! Very good news!!! My sweet Fang and I experienced the 2 day wait for visa back in November...interviewed on a Monday, visa in hand on Wednesday. We all hope the same for you and good luck!!!!
  18. CONGRATULATIONS our new friend!!!!!!!!!!! So nice to hear from you, and my sweet Fang (new to America since Dec 18th!!!) and I, wish you much happiness!!!!! Enjoy your new life!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Thank you so much for that info!! I will check it out. I'm still looking for the movies Roger posted about earlier..."Clint Eastwood, Dirty Harry series, Dead Pool, Sleepless in Seattle". Need to sit and browse with my honey one of these nights!
  20. All is well, and as our buddy Clayton has said in the past "life is grand"!!! Thank you for asking and hope all is well with you and your lovely girl also!!!
  21. Congratulations!!!! You must be excited!!! My sweet Fang just did all of this back in November and passed her interview and is now here living in Florida as of December 18!!! Fang arrived in Guangzhou 5 days before interview and paid a little extra (about $10 extra for about $100 total) for all medical tests to get them done in one day. She also must pay for visa at Citic Bank before medical (I think about $100). Obviously I was worried and asked her to get to Guangzhou a little too early. We were fortunate enough to stay at Mr. Yang's Hotel (Tian Yu Garden) around the corner from the consulate for about $27 per night. (2 bedroom, 3 beds). Mr. Yang, his wife, and sister-in-law are absolutely wonderful!!!! His wife met Fang at bus station and rode in taxi to hotel. His sister in law rode with Fang to medical. Medical results picked up following day. Interview on a Monday...passed...pick up visa on Wednesday. Hotel is clean enough, although not the "Ritz Carlton". Beds hard...but well worth it for such an important process when considering all prep and support from the Yang's. They looked over all our forms, practiced interview questions, met us in line at the consulate at 6:45 am to wish us luck!!!! Your gal will really appreciate the help, support and comfort from the Yang's (and ofcourse Mandarin conversations) I do not know Mr.Yang's phone number off hand, but it is on this site (Tian Yu Garden) if you do a search or someone else writes in. Your gal can call and make arrangements. Please pm if you need to know anything else and good luck!!!!!!
  22. might also look into netflix. they have a selection that's decent, and they all have english subtitles. Thank you. Actually, I'm looking for American movies with "Chinese subtitles". A while back, someone on CFL referred me to a site that had the letters "A through Z" on top of web page, and a decent selection of movies starting with that letter when searching. Sites just mentioned on this post don't seem to have this feature. Unfortunately, I lost previous bookmark when I formatted my hard drive. Thank you : ) Hey Micheal, Sorry I missed this post last week. I am the one, who posted that link you referred to, well over a year ago. This list is not all inclusive. But it does have quite a few titles in alpha-order. As a side note, most if not all of the Clint Eastwood, Dirty Harry series, Dead Pool, etc, have the Chinese subs. Also Sleepless in Seattle, with Tom Hanks, was Chinese subbed. My Lao Po loves to watch these DVD¡¯s with English language and the Chinese subtitles. http://www.imdb.com/Sections/DVDs/Subtitles/Chinese/P Thank you so much everyone, and Roger!!! Perfect!!! That is the link I was looking for Roger and I thank you so much for posting again!!!!
