  1. Thank you so much Clayton and Wen Li!!! Will do the USCIS thing when not brain-dead. Great to see you both today!! : )
  2. Ni hao to you both too...and thanks for the congrats also!!!....good wishes to you and Wen Li. Was not aware of the receipt number posting on USCIS website?
  3. That's what I was hoping it meant. Lately, I have been hearing about approvals happening without interview and was wondering if this could be happening in our case. Thanks so much Dan. : )
  4. Normal. We had the same thing happen and ours went pretty smoothly. I like normal!!! Thank you Dave and Christine and wishing you both well! : )
  5. NOA received today stated "in order to speed up the processing of your I-485 Application, it has been transferred to the California Service Center (Laguna)". Is this normal, good news, or bad news? Thank you all!!!
  6. If you are on this website you more than likely have thoroughly done your homework! Good luck, enjoy your trip, and tell us how it goes.
  7. and we all know that "feel good" is.....good. : ) Hope you and Zixuan are well David!
  8. Good luck and tell us all about your pink results!!! You're in good hands and our expert Dave has pointed you in the right direction!! We're all keeping good thoughts your way!!!
  9. Great advice my friend. I agree. My gal was lucky enough to get someone who was thorough and diligent, but without an attitude or in a bad mood. She asked very detailed questions about favorite color and food, but just wanted to ascertain my fiancee's knowledge of me. Hope you and our dear friend "Chawls" are well?
  10. You've got a great source of info here at CFL. Just randomly pick a couple of e-mails from each month. I divided e-mails with tabs by early, middle, and present. Pictures of you and her FAMILY is great (put them on top). I stayed at Mr. Yang's near Guangzhou Embassy and took many photos near "known" sites of park nearby (and put on top of second pile of photos). (I used adhesive-backed CD sleeves and pasted 2 of them on inside divider of Red folder and chose picture of Fang and I (with me wearing Chinese clothing) for top pic on top CD sleeve and for second CD sleeve top print I chose pic of me and Fang's family together. VO could not miss this if they opened folder! Quite honestly, if relationship IS bona fide, you will accumulate all things needed as you go. Save everything, and organize as per the infamous "David's Kitchen Sink". I bought 3 Acco-clasped folders (Office Depot) for my Fang's interview (look at my timeline also...ONE visit plus visit for interview). Folders were: Green: all financials with dividers for I-134, Tax Transcripts, 1040's, W-2's, Employer Letter and Paystubs. Red Folder: Relationship Stuff: Pictures, E-mails, CD's of webchats, 8.5x11 print out ganged with numerous screen captures, telephone records, web chat converstion print-out, Updated Letter of Intent. Blue Folder: Receipts: Boarding Passes, Notarized copy of passport (although I went to interview and gave Fang my passport), copy of I-179 NOA's, and copy of I-129F. As you can see, it takes a bit of time to organize. But work on it as you go and you will not be overwhelmed later. Write more or PM if you need further help.
  11. It is OK Clayton, Michael is not upset by you thinking about me!!!! I was suicidal for most of last night, but my sweet Fang slapped me back to my senses....
  12. Thank you all so much!!!! Great info and guidance as always!!!! Wish I could add my wife to work health insurance but cost prohibitive right now. Mine with work's Aetna (medical, dental, vision) $23/week...add Fang...$120/week. Can't do it right now but looking into outside company. Suggestions welcome!!! Thanks again everyone. : )
  13. Fang says HI too!!! Thanks for the nice wishes and info! Best to you too always. : )
  14. Running into 2 snags so far. Florida Power and Light will not add her to account unless we close account, provide wife's financial data, pay large deposit, and open new account. Mortgage company will not either without wife's financials. (which do not exist) I suspect the same from credit card companies. Haven't tried title company yet, but that may be ok. Bank accounts should be ok too. Not sure about home phone or cell phone yet. Does anyone know what is REALLY necessary in order to appease the nice folks at USCIS for AOS interview? I really want to add my wife for our/her sake, (she's my wife!!!!) but I understand these companies concerns about financial responsibility and liability. How much should I push, and be a pain in the butt with those that refuse? I don't mind. This process has made me very good at it. : ) Thank you all!!!
  15. We also just got our notice, and we got a notice of card prodcution twice almost a week apart. Not sure why they wanted to tell us twice. Did you file the G-28s? If so, you'll get one for you and one for her. If not, welcome to the paper reduction efforts of your gov't. I hope no one laughed at your paper reduction joke. I've been beating that one into the ground for months and haven't even gotten a smile. : )
  16. delete Dan's and just read Dave's....just kidding!!! : ) Dan is brilliant ALL of the time!!! Fang and I are so happy for you and hoping for the nicest news!!!
  17. Nice concept Darnell. If your lady gets treated like an animal at her interview, would you have the guts to go complain about the interview VO at ACH the next day? Or make a formal complaint to the Consulate General? I didn't. Why didn't I? A) Who trains the new VO's in Guano, and sets policy for them? B) By the Department of States own rules, who has the last say in the approval, or non-approval of your lady's visa? C) By Congress's own law, who can intervien on your behalf in your case, or your appeal (sic)? I'll answer this one for you. NO ONE It is a nice concept Darnell, and it reminds me of the guy who said he was going to send in his unsolicited P-3 at the 75-80 day time frame That takes guts, I didn't see it get sent. You have absolutely NO Constitutional rights as an american citizen on that 5th floor. And they KNOW IT!! I've got the balls of an Army helicopter pilot, but I ain't sabotaging the lil' rabbit's case by complainin' to the VO's (who has last say in her case) boss about that disgraceful and awful woman he hired to be a VO. And if they give the lil' rabbit a visa, it'll be too late to complain...hell, it's already been almost 8 months of lost time together. And what's Charles got, 2 1/2 or 3 years???? We are honest people, we did nothing wrong, and we were, as, prepared or even MORE SO for that interview than even, Rogerinca. If one of those VO's "profiles" your woman for whatever reason (and it could happen to anyone you've seen that got the visa) then you will quickly learn you have lost all your rights as an american citizen. And THEY know it. But, I like your concept, Darnell. I'm at ease with this game the mice/clerks are playing, and I'll explain it later in "Our Stories". the lil' rabbit and I have been through hell, but we now have dropped all the wasted stress, just like the ol' Jawja boy and his wife. Those clowns ain't gonna dictate to us who we can live with. Life ain't fair, sometimes you are given lemons. It's all up to you what you make out of them lemons. And...what goes around, comes around....hand out NO GOOD to others, guess what you'll wind up with your owndamnself. tsap seui Not one to beat around the bush much when it comes to the truth Well said my friend! : )
  18. No - they will simply transcribe the shots from the yellow book on to the vaccination supplement - it's actually the I-693A - and put one copy in a sealed envelope, and give you a separate copy. The CS will have the forms. Just had this done for $70 and was surprised to see envelope sealed so well and NO, they did not give me a copy. Told me they were not allowed to give copy. I told them I was concerned if lost in mail and they said to just come back for additional copy if needed. Does this sound right? They gave us a sealed one for wife and daughter with stamps and tape all over. PLus, an open one for each. Sorry to say but all for $50 total for the two. The CS was even within walking distance, so no car. I think the no copy is very strange. I do too and will question it again today on the phone. Thanks Sounds very strange to me. Sorry to inform you, but shopping around for a CS is a must. I found one who did the I-693a for no charge. Yes, he did give me a copy. Many CS or their respective receptionist do not know or understand the K-visa process. This is where the buyer must understand what it is they need. His receptionist tried to tell me Lisa needed the full exam as well. I told her, no, the rules state. She asked the doctor and he set her straight. Shop around. I actually did shop it...to death...and found a doctor who haggled $70 out of me and fought me like a "lunatic out of control" on giving me a copy. This guy should not be a doctor, or referred by USCIS. I called USCIS to ask if I should insist on having a copy for my records. They say Dr should not have such a problem with this request, and that I should report him to the BBB and AMA for his violent temper and attitude on the phone. What a horrible experience I had with this Delray Beach, Florida doctor! USCIS said to just send all AOS paperwork via reliable carrier, and request copy of I-693A from USCIS.

  20. Thank you both and yes, there is light at the end of the tunnel!!!!

  22. Thanks so much again Dan....think I'm done...now if I can only get a day off from work to get to the post office!!!!
  23. I know I asked before about these forms but never clarified this one? (I hear conflicting answers). I have filled out form only using my wife's maiden name (to make travel for her easier i.e. matches her Chinese passport). Is this correct? (in which case, cover letter should also just have MAIDEN name?) (which differs from I-485, I-864, and I-765 cover letters, in which I wrote new married name). Does this sound correct? Thanks and I promise no more dumb questions!!!! : )
  24. Composing cover letter for AOS package and not sure what it needs to say? Just I-485 AOS, or mention I-864, I-765, and I-131? Is it on my letterhead or my wife's letterhead? Signed by who? me or her or both? Am I petitioning or is she? I've written a Table of Contents which will be the second page of this letter, but if anyone has the "verbage" for the cover letter, I would be grateful!!! I'm sure short and sweet is adequate, but I would not dream of ommiting ANYTHING after all that has gone into this package (actually 4 Acco-clasped folders) Thank you all!
