I think your link isnt working? My wife's parents live in Kaifeng, Henan Province which is closer to Beijing than Guanzhou? So the DS-160, when electronically submitted starts the process (it asks for Beijing or Guanzhou). I will do I-134 but it requires letters from bank and employer which is difficult for me since my work has me traveling often. Is this REALLY needed? Instructions with I-134 are quite poor and not sure how to answer question 8, 9, 10 and 11. Oath at bottom...as amended___________? What goes there? This is so important to my wife but I'm just lost starting this paperwork nightmare again.

Can anyone tell me the name of the gentleman who owns the apartment near the Guanzhou Embassy that helped my wife for K1 Visa? We are preparing for Visa for my wife's parents (B2) to visit us in the U.S. and wanted his advice or atleast a place for my wife's parents to stay in Guanzhou. Thank you all. Really dont know where to start. Have list of things for Inviter and Invitee, but just don't know where to send or even how to start. Her parents have their passports as of last month.

Just wanted to share. Silly me for opting for less expensive and most convenient hours. Time between flights was also a major consideration when immigration and customs are involved. I will NEVER use China Southern to go from China to US or vise versa. Never had a problem with Continental and that will be our next first choice. I'd rather pay more and have one airline book the entire trip. Hope you are all great and thank you for your responces, and my sweet wife is finally starting to feel normal after several nights sleeping at airports. FYI, China Southern not only was delayed 24 hours from Zhengzou to Guanzhou, (and then to LAX) but also arrive 1.5 hours late to the US. My wife had 1.5 hours to get thru immigration, claim her baggage, get thru 100 yard line at customs, run to another terminal for JetBlue, check-in her, and baggage, get thru security, then run to gate. God bless her, she made it!!!! Amazing, my patient, focused wife!!!

Dear cheapoair, Since you asked for a review, here you go. Flight home to USA from Zengzhou via China Southern 24 hours late for weather. Connecting flights not notified. Flight from LAX (Virgin America) to Florida not in "Booking Agreement" with China Southern Airlines. Called you. You dumped us on China Southern. Called China Southern, they dumped us back on you and Virgin America. Virgin America dumped us back to you. You wanted to book new flight from $600 to $1100 our addl cost. I bought JetBlue for $448. Had to replace Virgin America flight with $448.00 JetBlue flight. We paid that for new ticket.Because of "Lack of booking relationship" between China Southern and Virgin America, my wife went thru 96 hour travel nightmare and has been in bed since. We won't book thru you anymore. Next time direct thru major airline or Travel Agent. I do not trust China Southern from China to USA and you were of no help during travel. You and China Southern had us on hold for 45 minutes each time I called.

My wife is in China now and we used www.cheapoair.com and found the best rates.

Thank you both. Actually tried to put "Addemdum" at time of passport renewal for the extra $10 but they refused and said "next time you renew you can do that". I disagree, but can live with it. I will make sure my sweet Fang is "armed" with any and all papers that could possibly be needed. Thank you both again.

Forgive my lack of research but time is of the essence. My wife of 3 years is traveling to China for the first time to visit her family since arriving and marrying via K-1. She has renewed her Chinese passport at Houston (with maiden name), has a 10 year green card and State ID (with married name) and just wanted to know what name to enter when purchasing plane tickets? (same as passport or same as Green card?) Just fyi, she is going from either Palm Beach, FL (PBI) or Ft. Lauderdale (FLL) to Zengzhou (CGO) and the best prices we are seeing are from flychina.com. We looked at cheapoair and Orbitz but a bit pricey. Comments and help are always welcome and I miss chatting with you all! Life is good, but busy. My sweet wife has completed Massage Therapy School and working alot as am I and we barely see each other! Wished it wasn't that way but I think the "norm" in these economic times. Thank you wisdomed friends with knowledge on purchase of plane tickets and travel names/documents for my wife. She is correct. They will not change the passport for a name change. They will put a statement in one of the observation pages that reads, "The bearer of this passport is also known as (put your so's name here)." This can be done at the Chinese consulate who oversees your district. My wife had to fly to Houston for passport renewal ($60) with H-1 form and was told prior to flying there that she could fill out an H-2 (add $10) to add an "Addendum" with married name to passport and when she arrived there with two money orders ($60 + $10) she was told "no" on the addendum. Don't know why? Hmmm.....something told me this was not going to be an easy thing to do. Wasn't too difficult...just expensive. $60 passport cost us about $800 for airfare, hotel, meals and taxi. And my wife did it alone! She had photos and passport done in one day (although we paid for 2 days at hotel in case all could not be done in one day). Good morning all, I am ready to send I-751 and all supporting documents on March 1st and notice USCIS Vermont Service Center has an address AND a "P.O." Box. I don't think UPS or FedEx send to P.O. boxes? Does anyone have a preferred and ultra-safe method to send this important package (preferably track-able)? By the way, Fangs 2 year expires on May 22. I am mailing to USCIS March 1st. Does this seem safe enough to be within their 90 period? Thank you all!

All will occur next Monday (Feb 1st, 2010) in Houston, Texas, hopefully without any glitches! We have found both pdf's (fillable, but not saveable) should you all desire?

Thank you Dan. Can you clarify something for me?My wife and I live in South Florida and her Chinese passport expires in June. Must we travel to Washington D.C. for renewal? How far in advance can we do this so I can plan vacation time? Can you point me to the topic or thread of others who have renewed their spouses Chinese passport with perhaps forms and fees required (cash, credit card, or money order?). Should my wife use her married name or maiden name? I want her to be able to travel to China with ease. Thank you so much in advance. I have searched CFL and not finding anything specific to these questions. I don't think it matters which consulate you go to. It doesn't matter if you go before or after the passport expires. My wife and I did hers in San Francisco. You can have an addendum put in her passport for her married name that reads something like "the name of this person is also XXXXXX XXXXX. As I recall it was an extra 10 dollars. The consulates also have a program where they travel around to major cities and offer these services to Chinese citizen. They do it about once a year.
