HI Christy it seems you are new here. So one more case is on hold as we know now We have sent email to all people that we can think of but still nothing happen yet.

We was told that our case is holded by FBI. Anyone got same answer here

Could you please explain what INS is? what i found is Immigration and Naturalization Service How FBI can tell us that they are not holding our cases after this long waiting. Again Who you talked to in FBI?

Since two on hold cases were cleared last month. We haven't heard any late news for so long. It is kinda strange that these old on hold people are not posting anymore. are they too disappointed to try anymore? or any other reason? Sorry if i am the one who is impatient here. I tell myself again and again to be patient and stay calm and wait my visa. I tell myself that our lucky star is coming this summer. But now still nothing really happen I wish to hear any message about our on hold case. even just the same answer as we usually got. At least let us know we are not alone in this black hole. really can't believe sometimes that my husband and I have been living without each other for over 315 days now!! how will it be after a whole year past? still pending?! Wish everyone forgive if I complain here. I really feel hard to hold my sadness sometimes and i miss my husband more than i can ever tell. thanks for letting me post here. I will stop

Hi Argyle I am sorry to hear that you have been waiting for so long too. well have you ever ask DOS about your namecheck? our namecheck has taken 9 months and now is still pending. well my case is on hold. Is it possible that your case is on hold as us too so you are still waiting for your P4.

Took SOFT seat from Shanghai to Xian.. 16 Hrs.... I was crying for the nearest airport.. LOL I was kidding..Actually, Chinese trains are quite comfy... But 16 Hrs was way beyond my league.... Yuhui and I 2 days ago took the High speed train between Paris and Southern France ( about 310 kph) .. Wow... She keeps calling those the MAGIC train.... meaning MAGNETIC trains, although this one is not... Just a regular electric train.. Sooo cute.. Anyway downtown to downtown in 3 hrs flat, 1000 kms away haha my husband and i took soft sleeping seat once for more than 24 hours. can't realy remeber how long. we thought we can see some nice views but after that experence we will never never take that kind of long train anymore.

You can either call the local air ticket office and order in the phone or order on line. wherever you booked a ticket they will bring this ticket to the place where you stay and this server is always free. You can go to this website and check out the ticket on sale. while i went to Guangzhou visa interview I book ticket here and it is so easy. the single way cost 700RMB from hangzhou to Guangzhou. Well we are trying to make congressman understand the problem of our case better. You know even they do can find something by themsleves they wont do it until you really spank them. At least trying everything we can will make us feel better during this hard period without each other. Hope is in our hands and we won't let it go

Hi All, I have a question here about the medical test everyone had before your interview. Well I took my medical test on Nov.4 2002. and got interview on No.18. But it has been over 6 months here. And i am still waiting my case to be cleared. Once i read somewhere it said the healthy test is only expired in half a year. Is it true? I know someone here has been waiting for their visa as long as we do. Does anyone need to do your physical test again before picking up your visa?? Wish anyone who has successfully get their visa can tell us some detail about this confused stuff. I was told that i need to go to pick my health book in Shanghai until my visa in hand and before i leave China. But ifound that someone did not go get their health book but left China already. So what does this health book mean and what this book for?? Again as a on hold case we have been really suffering somuch in this long waiting period. My husband was trying to show his congressman that my case is taking too long and my medical exam expired. Wish anyone could give us some helpful advice here. We will appreciate it

Yes sure you can enter China on a tourist visa and my husband had tourist visa while he arrived China and after that 30 days you can ask local police station to add 30 days more with a little pay. and if you can find a job with tourist visa then your work place will help you to get a working visa after you sign the contact. But also i remember my husband told me that you can apply tourist visa for more than 30 days too before you come to China but you would wait for longer to get this visa. Well my honey didnt have problem stay in China with tourist visa so you dont need to worry about that too much.

I am really sorry to hear that. My loved grandma died last summer when my husband left China one month after. It was the darkest day that i standed by her side and watched her left us. it reminds me how hard i cried but my husband was with me in the phone and he really comforted my heart more than anyone can do. I dreamed about my grandma a lot since she left me but each time whe i think about her i really rememeb that she had this most happy smile when she first saw my husband and how much she likes him as her own grandson. The best thing you can do for your loved people who died is living as good & happy as you can. I know the best thing my loved grandparents would like to see in heaven is My husband and I have this enjoyable together So when you think in that way. You will feel better. I am sorry to read a reply like that filatelist. It means your wife's case is on hold just like ours now. so when is your wife's interview? Our case has been resubmitted 3 times but still now good news yet. just half a year again since my interview and we really dont know how long we have to suffer like this still

really good news again! it seems on hold cases are moving now But My husband talked to GZ & Andrew in CA today and yesterday still no news about my case

PJ sorry i can only answer your second question. yeah college hire people for both fall and spring semester. the full term is from Sep.1 to the beginning of the next July. there is one month winter holiday during Chinese New Year... So most of the college will require you teach from the first fall semester to the next Spring Semester.
