Hi, If you case is being held by FBI, try to write to them in mail. I do not know whether it helps, but at least bring your case to thier attention. Our case was held by FBI for over 10 months,when the security check finally came through, FBI was the first one informed us. Good Luck! Christy

Gotta remember, GZ doesn't even know who we are (new system) until the NVC and DOS are finished with us. At that point most of the work is done. Hi, Rob, That suggestion was from my experience. Our case was one of the "lucky" ones that was on-hold by FBI after the interview. So, that was the old system. I am not too sure about the new process. BTW, I hope everything works out for you, your wife and your baby. I followed the 'Baby crisis" thread very closely, unfortunately, I could not offer any constructive suggestions. Well, well, well.....Christy. Where have you been? I'm sitting here working on some projects when the phone rang. Senator Ensign's office. I requested assistance last week and did as you had suggested. I gave the Senator the GZ fax number and suggested he request a response. He got one today. It wasn't earthshattering, but at least something. GZ wanted my b-day (I provided everything else asked on the email form) . Huh? On the emails, they only want the benificiary's DOB. Who cares? At least they asked. So, Christy....I'm giving you the credit for this little success. Everything you suggested worked exactly right. PS: The assistant's name? Christy. Small world. Hi, Dave, It might be useful for your senator or represenative to email or contact GZ directly to get information about your case. GZ can (normally) ignore us, but I believe they have obligations to response to the congressional inquiries. Good luck! Christy

Hi, All, Just to be sure that the number I am dialing is correct, 86-20-8399-2000. I called this number multiple times before, and was never able to get through I saw so many good news from the on-holders, I am really happy for you guys about the final clearance and upcomming reunions in US. I think all the on-holders (the white slip holders) I know on this forum have got their clearances. Congratulations!!! I called DOS this morning, our case is still pending However, the lady told me to check with the Embassy, they never told me this before, a hope maybe... Praying... Have a good Monday. Christy

Our case have been pending for more than 240 days, and DoS is not doing anything besides waiting for FBI to come back with a result... Gail, if you find out the schedule, please let me know, I want to make sure our voice is heard. Christy

Hi, tywy, Do you konw whether the security clearance notices from DoS will be in these shipment as well? Or these shipments are strictly from NVC to GZ. Our case has been held since November, I certainly hope some of these mailings contain the approvals of the security clearances for some of the on-holders. Thanks. Christy

Hi, All, I always thought DOS would be the first one know about whether the name check is completed. Then, DOS forward that information to GZ. I got this information from both GZ's responses and calling DoS. However, recently, I have seen several postings on this board saying that GZ know about the result of the clearance, then update the computer, then DoS knows about it. Which way is really it? BTW, our case is one of the on-hold cases by FBI. Thanks! Christy
