I think our african american citizens might find it a bit offensive too .. Doubt they will see it and think of good luck. 235907 Even the "Ten Commandments" may be offensive to some. Even the wrong bandanna can get you capped! Now I think of it, after looking at the posts, what "can" we do in the good old USA? -

Hey Bill, for me I don't even know when the interview will be yet, and even I'm stressing a little. Not about how she will adjust, but how I will. Everyone, who has experienced this transition, this thread has enlightened me, somewhat. It will be what it will be. No problem.

Yall are trippin, trippin, trippin! I would love to hear some of these talks with SO. Oh, dear, well um, we have to talk about............um What about words that sound like something in Spanish or any other language? SO talks a lot about Buddha, but says, "pu-ta". Freedom of speech, SO can talk however she wants. -
Good deal, congratulations yall!

K1 here, May 11, 2006 sent from NVC to GUZ. It's probably a little different, but P3 recieved 7/19, and they kept telling me the same thing also up to the day. Do not have case. -
abbreviations This was an attempt, far from complete. Hang in there.

Great news! It will be here before you know it. Geez, I fear calling DOS on this one. It seems everything is moving so fast now. Good Luck! -
Good Deal! I's crossed, & T's dotted? Sometimes you just have to let go of the ball to get it to start rolling.

I haven't seen anything related to a bar code for the DS-230 before. With the DS-156 you can do this with a bar code by completing it online at DOS. The advantage to doing this is the information is in their system and the VO's only need to scan the bar code to retrieve it for a specific case. The DS-230 can be done by hand, typed or using the fillable PDF. I would opt for anything other than handwritten myself as it leaves less room for mistakes in GZ. 233290 Thanks Lee. Using the fillable form is what I want to do. SO is only using a copy that I filled to handwrite all of the info. I am still digging through posts. There is some info back in Jan,2005, but it seems outdated to me. It says instruction clearly state use form sent, but this looks like it was for I-130. 233293 GZ tells them to use the forms sent (which are outdated usually) but we have used the fillable forms for both of our cases and there was never a problem. Besides it's easier for them to read. 233296 Done deal. This is what I am going to do. I've seen in past topics on the subject, outdated to my liking, it is controversial. I would think the consulate would prefer this method due to the clarity.

Okay I found that the barcode is not on the form now. But still looking to see if the fillabe form can be used.

I have been going round and round on filling out the DS 230 with SO, and about to hop a plane to China. I have read through posts, and some indicate the DS 230 has a barcode. Does the DS 230 still have a barcode or not in the current P3s? I have a scan of all of the docs, and I don't see it. If not; Does the DS 230 need to be filled out by hand? It says it can be typed. Or can the fillable PDF be used?

Don't start trippin C..... -
About three weeks ago I was in Mudanjiang, and we were having dinner with about eight of SO's girlfriends from her school days. The subject came up about "small eyes." Then I was asked to judge who had the biggest eyes. Last year when I was in Shanghai on business the waitresses at the hotel resturant posed a similar question. But "who had the biggest nose." I guessed they might be flirting with me, but no they were serious. When I gave them an answer, one walked away dissapointed. B)

In my case, no prenup. It is not that I don't have much to lose, it is just my belief. If I felt that I needed one, I would never be in the place I am now going through this process.
