  1. Thanks I will re-assure her tonight.
  2. Not sure where to put this. But here it is. I have a fried that was married to a USC. He since has died. She has her green card. She wants to go back home for a visit after 4 years of being here. Will the green card let her travel back to the USA on her homeland visa? Rick
  3. Thanks that one line confused me.
  4. Here is where I get confused. FAMILY BASED NONIMMIGRANT CATEGORIES K-1 NONIMMIGRANT FIANCEE OF US CITIZEN OR K-2 DEPENDANT--(A)(6). File your EAD application if you are filing within 90- days from the date of entry. This EAD cannot be renewed. Any EAD application other than for replacment must be based on your pending application for AOS under ©(9)
  5. Ok, I have been trying to cifer out the K2 application and documents need for the I-765. I want to file EAD for Lulu ASAP. (K-2) Please someone set me straight on all this.
  6. Not at the same time This is true, just keeping on top of Yanlans learning is a lot!! I don't want to try to learn Mandarin just yet, doing the decipher of her broken and backwards English is enough work!! There is no english in my household. My stepdaughter seems to be scared to speak english and my wife's english is sometimes unbearable. So I live in a world of mandarin. God help this poor country boy! Ty It is like that here too. The only english that goes on is the english translations I request. Yanlan tries very hard God bless her, and she IS getting better, but most of the time I am not knowing anything.
  7. Thanks Don, we did Yanlans S.S. already. Some people are telling Lulu she can too.
  8. Both gals say that my step daughter can file for her SS# now, before the EAD and AOS. I thought I read somewhere that I must file these FIRST, then apply for the S.S. and D.L. and other things. Any help on this? Rick
  9. $50.00 each here. Only questions asked were what type of visa and are you paying cash?

  11. At this time I can not find my NOA 1 or 2. Where can I get Yanlans A number? With her moving in and Lulu, things are all over the place and changing daily. Thanks
  12. The I-864 is a hard thing to swallow. As we all have said in the past it is dangerous! http://www.ilw.com/articles/2006,0110-wheeler.shtm http://www.ilw.com/articles/2006,0608-mehta.shtm
  13. Thanks Jim, The fact that I have never been married before, and how almost story book the first 1.75 years have been, this is new territory for me. I know this will pass soon enough, it just really f***ing sucks right now. HA! I am experiencing the samething with a few antiques I have here. OLD!!! I say history. Doesn't work, I have a coffee table made in 1889 by hand and carved she doesn't like. Oh well.........................
  14. You will be filing for AOS after the fee raise so filing for AOS will generate the EAD and AP for you as part of the new process. I suspect the NOA1 for AOS will be the EAD and AP document. Also a few POEs will stamp a K-1 visa and I-94 card with a temp EAD stamp showing work authorized for the 90 days of the I-94, after that will need regular EAD. Only airport POE that regularly does this is JFK. More can be found pinned at top of General Website Information > Links & Resources forum. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9057 Yanlan and lulu both got the I-94 coming through Detroit. It no longer has to be stamped "Work Authorized". If you have it you can work.
  15. I see Ron you must have had the same VO as Yanlan, rude like she said. Did not pay much attention to her, only asked a few things, then put a blue slip on the pink slip, and wamo, Yanlan was asked for the same things your SO was asked for. Glad to see it over for you so soon. Happy Life!!!!!
  16. Hey Hey, Congrats on the wedding. Her medical should be good for one year, yea the shots were much cheaper in Guz.I had Yanlan get hers there and Lulu too. We are soon to follow you and yours in marriage.
