  1. Sorry. I accidently deleted my post. I was asking if I need to be calling for an appointment as rlheim was suggesting or wait for further instruction to my mailed in overcome information. Thanks for the reply RLS. Follow all directions exactly as GUZ puts it. Don't try to invent the wheel here.
  2. Since I will be providing every possible piece of information and evidence I can think of, may my Fang have time to look for something that the VO asks of her or if he blue-slips and she thinks she has it, will they give her a few minutes to look through her "kitchen sink"? Don't bother the VO. They will tell you to follow the instructions on the blule slip. They don't explain themselves. Kitchen sink or not. We had it, didn't even bother to look even though she had all the information requested in her hands. *IF* you get the blue slip, get the phonecard fast. But don't expect to get an overcome appointment for maybe a month. Best time to get appoints seems to be the last week of the month. So far that is what Guangzhou says, and has been the rule lately. Thank you so much...everyone. I'm not even going to let my mind go there yet! Am I correct in reading that I must have a credit card from a bank in China or an international credit card? Who in America has one of these? I did not see any credit card choice that looks familiar? I used my Visa
  3. That is what I meant, sorry

  5. When the upper level of Gov. steps in on a case, any case, you have no recourse. They will do as they wish first. Then, you TRY to prove yourself. Just look here in Candle. Guz is a good example of upper Gov. You are nothing but chewing gum to the Gov. The Gov chews you up and spits you out, and you get stuck on the bottom of their shoe.
  6. He will not need to list it if his income is over the poverty level enough to support everyone. You should list everything you have in assets and income and have copies of the proof. He should not forget his tax returns.
  7. I needed a co-sopnsor too. On my I-134 I listed my income, and all my assets, house, insurance and things. I had enough in assets but they still wanted a co-sponsor, so my co-sponsor filled out the I-134, and his income is enough to exceed the poverty level for his family, and mine. No other listings from him about life insurance or anything else as long as they exceed the poverty level for the amount of people they sponsor.
  8. http://www.1-language.com/audiocourse/index.htm seems pretty good to help learn English.
  9. Yea, I think it is so Americans can't steal it and escape!

  11. Given the above, your benefits would be your income on the I-134. You might as well prepare one in case it's one of the next things they ask for. Right now, you haven't made enough information available to even speculate on why the case needed additional review but it does not seem to be about finances or bonafide relationship, yet. Most likely it is something to do with her personal history, yours or both. I am disabled too. You will need to show proof that you are receiving benefits. Supply the Social Security Benefit letter you get every year showing your benefit amount. Since we do not have tax returns to supply, this is what you will need. IF THEY ASK. David is right. You never give anything they do not ask for. Never volunteer any information!
  12. How do they notify us if the visa is finally "refused"? Will GZ send a letter to my fiance's address in China to notify that the visa has been refused? Must we go to the Consulate in Guangzhou to be refused the visa in person? The notice you mention is called "Notice of Intention to Deny" (NOID) Its delivery will depend on the circumstances at hand. If you have turned in overcome evidence in person and told to pick up results at the post office in two days, the NOID could be in the package with your SO's passport. In a case where you've been told they'll contact you when they are ready, it is possible you could receive one by mail. For your case an if an NOID is the next event, it would most likely be mailed. I take it they don't have your SO's passport at this time. In Decemder 2006,we handed over the Chinese passport and all of the overcome materials. Two days later,in person, they returned the Chinese passport, and our 2nd blue slip, telling us to go home and wait 3 months,if we dont hear from them then call or email. That will be the first week of March 2007. I am so worried about this visa that I am just hoping for more blue slips to buy time to correct this situation. So far, everything seems to be moving at a normal pace. I have been living with my fiance here in China ,unemployed, since 2005. She will be able to produce any kind of "overcome" materials they may ask for in the future. We can hold a conversation in English,if they want us to. The only thing I think may snag us up is the fact that only my parent in America has supplied the I-134 and other documents as proof of support, not me. Don't bank on 3 months.
  13. sorry to hear about your troubles. It may be a long wait. She should go to work, and this will help take off some stress.
  14. As far as I am concerned.....You've hit the nail on it's head here! I whole heartedly agree with what Steve and Qingqing said here. I couldn't have said it better! Papa Bear Well as a poor person, I see that not only am I physically challenged, I am morally challenged with this group too. Not only me be several of us on this group. WE do not FIT because we are on the lower end of the scale of richness. I never in my life thought that I would read from someone YOUr TOO POOR TO GET MARRED! I guess that I should go next door and tell my neighbor that HE is too poor to get married. He only makes minimum wage, works part time. He is engaged to get married. He has bills out the wazoo. His x-wife took everything except the house which he is now heavily in debt on because of her. He wants to marry a poor Philipino gal too. He has a 4 bedroom house with a 2 car garage here. She has an equivalent to a shack to live in on the farm. You know everything is not about money in life. Sure it takes money to live, but not EVERYTHING is about money. If the US wants to raise the fee so be it. I am allowed to bitch. yep! Am I not allowed to get married? I don't think so. Last time I looked this was AMERICA. I am 3rd generation German, my family was poor as hell. Still is. Except my sister. She got lucky. But my Gradfather and Grandmother still brought over from Germany others in the family. They came to America and worked. Stayed with my grandparents until they were able to stand on their own. In return They Brought over more of the family. Oh well I am poor so you don't want to hear from me. I just babble.
