  1. OK ... trying again with the link to the electronic optin site ... but when I type in the answers for the .pdf file it will not let me save it. My only options are to save it as blank form or print it. What am I doing wrong?
  2. Sorry for the late reply to this ... but it was in the movie "Dazed and Confused" (a VERY good movie about the aimlessness of the 70s) that a teacher said to her students as they were leaving her classroom for the 4th of July weekend "Dont forget ... the reason we celebrate this Holiday is because a bunch of aristocratic slave-owning land barons refused to pay their taxes!" The quote may not be exact, but it was funny nontheless, and it goes to show ... the winners decide History. Not that I'm bashing our founding fathers. Although, to be honest ... I've a feeling if they saw this nation today they'd be aghast at what Government has become.
  3. Sorry to hear about all this. Hope you dont get too comprimised by it all. Never enough drama for the gov I guess.
  4. No problem for jumbled replies ... hehehe ... my own replies to my own thread were jumbled already . I e-mailed nvcinquiry and requested electronic processing, *then* paid my $70.00 affidavit fee. I hope its OK I did them out of order, but too late now. Anyways, thanks for the replies. I know I ask a LOT of questions ... I just so worry about making a small, foolish error that costs me months of wasted time in getting my wife here.
  5. Sorry, asked this already in my own thread .... should I still pay the Affidavit of support fee ($ 70.00) online? I only just e-mailed my request for electronic processing to nvcinquiry. Again, sorry to be jumping from thread to thread.
  6. OK re-read the NVC page ... sending them an e-mail now to request electronic processing. Sorry ... so many posts and so many edits ... should I still pay online and then e-mail about electronic processing?
  7. Hhhmm ... my case number starts with GUZ ... guess that precludes me from electronic processing? Guessing I should still pay online though, in an effort to speed things along?
  8. The electronic processing is faster yes? Thats the way I want to go is electronic! So I should pay online ... then wait for a reciept number? Then scan and e-mail my documents in to them? Sorry ... yes its the 70 dollar fee.
  9. OK ... she e-mailed the DS-3032. Got an automated response to it. Now I am ready to pay online via electronic checking, my question is do I still mail in my Affidavit of Support? Do I file it online? They give me instructions to pay ... but nothing regarding my Affidavit. Any suggestions?
  10. Well ... if you've seen my prior post you know I had my wife fill out and sign a DS-3032 form. The problem is that the one the U.S. Dept of State sent me in .pdf form is different from the form I had my wife fill out. The one my wife fills out has some instructions about placing the case barcode on the page before mailing it. I do not have a barcode yet, thought maybe it would come soon ... so should I just send her the new form to fill out? I'm at a loss as to what to do.I have printed the new form out, as well as the "Affidavit of Support (AOS) Processing Fee Bill Invoice". Any advice greatly appreciated, and again sorry if this is simple topics, but legalese makes my head spin. Appaullo
  11. I departed for China via Hong Kong on Sat June 27th. I arrived there on Sun June 28th. Before we landed they passed out "Health Declaration Forms" and had us fill them out. I deplaned without my temp being taken at all. I walked through the airport where two techs with simple surgical type masks grabbed the young man in front of me and checked his temp by way of an ear thermometer. He caught back up to me as we neared luggage check where he again was singled out by another surgical mask clad person (maybe he had a *look?!*) who proceeded to check both of his ears temp. I missed the ferry (was advised by someone on the plane that I had to claim my luggage first ... DOH! So I used a limo service. As we crossed over into mainland China they opened the doors and used forhead wands to check everyones temps ... then checked the young man in front of me (not the same young man, but maybe I was a jinx to anyone in front of me?!) again before asking him to accompany them for further review ... 45 minutes later they brought him back and cleared us all. That was that ... not really as much screening as I had expected. Appaullo
  12. Xianning! Would be great to meet you there if our wives' interviews are at the same time!! Appaullo
  13. OK ... the NOA2 came to my house (like I knew it would) the day after I boarded my plane for China. So after 2 weeks with my wife I am home again and looking at the NOA2 ... it seems they wish me to wait, while they contact my wife? I had her sign a "choice of agent' form, and I have my affidavit of support all filled out .... I just do not know where to mail these items to. Or do I need to sit and wait for something from NVC? By the way the trip was great. We had one issue between us, but that could be attributed to the fact that we were having outdoor photos done in Shenzhen and the heat was high and we were both litertally dripping with sweat. Anyways ... thanks in advance for any replies! Appaullo
  14. Hhhmmm ... my wife is telling me I am to take the ferry? Do you have any idea what she is referring to? She said she will meet me at the ferry dock in Shenzhen.
  15. Hey all, can anyone tell me what to expect at Hong Kong airport? My wife tells me that my baggage will be put on the ferry automaticlly, but I've looked at skypoint website and they say check the list to see if your airline does this. Mine (Continental) does not. So do I have to claim my suitcase, then buy ferry ticket, then get on bus, then ferry? I'm assuming signs will make it easy for me to find my way around? This is my first trip via Hong Kong so I'm not sure at all what to expect. Thanks .... Appaullo
  16. Hey all, leaving for Shenzhen via Hong Kong this saturday. The wife and I are going to Beijing for a week while I am in China. A while back someone posted on this site a link to pictures of a little hotel they stayed at in Beijing. It was a cozy little small place, it looked like all first floor. I have looked but cant find it. If anyone can link the thread for me I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance! Appaullo
  17. I hope I'm not out of line here, but ... I think what DNobblet means by *this* in the 'Wow, this sucks ..." is having to sit at home and not be able to work. I do not think for one minute he is implying a K3 Visa sucks. I am sure he will chime in here on this. The point he is making is your wife will be able to work much quicker with a CR1 than a K3. I do not think his intention is to say the K3 itself sucks. Again, hope I'm not out of line here.
  18. Keep hammerin' away at 'em!! After reading your experiences I hope you and your family FINALLY get to move forward with your lives, you have all earned it!
  19. Outstanding news! Congratulations!
