  1. I'm also making an appointment with ACS just to be sure. It means 2 trips to the consulate, but better safe than sorry! Thanks again, and again, sorry for the multiple threads.
  2. Well I talked to DOS today. They told me that the e-mailed 'appointment cvr letter' .pdf was what we needed to get into the interview. But just to be safe I am going to ask at ACH as well when I am there next monday. Thanks all, sorry for the many threads, but it was late and I was stressed.
  3. OK, so if my wife did not receive P4 in the mail is it possible that if I go to ACH they will give us a new appointment letter to get her in for her interview? Or should it be ACS? I have no idea what to do now ... I have a 10 work day tomorrow and now I am assured of NO sleep tonight because of this. I e-mailed GUZ earlier, I dont have a chinese credit card so I cant call them ... in a real mess here. Could DOS help me on this one? 2 weeks away and no P4. We're electronic processing ....
  4. OK, my wifes interview is September 28 but as of today she still has not received P4 in the mail. Can anyone tell me about how long before the interview the packet arrives? I worry maybe something has gone amiss. We have a letter that was e-mailed to us that is called the 'appointment cover letter' it has my name and address on it, then beneath that it says "Dear (my wife's name) ..... a few lines down it tells us the date and time of the interview. On the second page it has our case number, principal applicant name, preference category, and Foreign State of chargeability. I am thinking this is the appointment letter, but Dnoblet says it is not, that the appointment letter will be physiclly mailed to my wife. So again, my question is ... how long before the interview should she expect the P4? We're 2 weeks away from her interview now.
  5. About how long before the interview does the P4 usually arrive? My wife's interview is September 28 and she still has not received P4 yet. Should I try calling GUZ tomorrow?
  6. hhmmm ... ok. We're not sure we have an 'appointment' letter, but it seems we have everything else from P4. There is the Appointment letter in Chinese that I downloaded from the link you gave me the other day. But other than that the only thing that says 'appointment letter' is the title of the .pdf document they sent us titled 'GUZ(our case number) appointment cvr letter'. Is the appointment letter something they will physiclly mail? Or will this come e-mail also?
  7. OK, and this one is really dumb. We have an 'appointment cover letter' .pdf file .... but not a 'cover letter' .pdf file from GUZ. Is this appointment cover letter the document my wife needs to get into the medical exam and into the embassy for her interview?
  8. OK, thanks! I read the instructions. But (and this is just me being anal and second guessing myself as the interview draws nearer) all the documents GUZ have sent to me are saying tax returns. Thats the reason I double checked. I know my questions are for the most part redundant, and I apologize. I am in the final stages leading up to the interview and am stressing over making sure EVERYTHING is right. You should hear what my friends and family here in the states say to me when I get on their nerves! Anyways, thanks again ... I wish I could say its my last question, but I leave 6:45 AM saturday morning and I just KNOW I'll be online between now and then with more questions. Sorry in advance!
  9. I have tax transcripts for the last three years. Would it be advisable for me to also bring tax returns? Maybe just the latest tax return? Or am I ok with just the transcripts?
  10. $650 ?!?! Good lord ... I dont even want to say what my tickets have been costing me ... Where do you get yours through if you dont mind my asking? This trip next week for me is the cheapest one yet for me ... and it is $1477.00 . Wow. Good on you, mate, for careful shopping!
  11. If my wife is applying for an immigrant visa why do they require her to bring these forms? Or have I misunderstood the instructions? Sorry for the frequency of new questions, but I leave next saturday and am now going over all my paperwork. Some of these forms seem unnecessary to me. Mind you, I'm bringing them!
  12. disregard ... I understand now! Thank you
  13. Correct, she did the P3 supplemental sheet. This was the one she just wrote the answers right on the sheet, then signed and dated where it asked her to.
  14. My wife called for an appointment for her medical exam, was told no need to make appointment. But she was told to bring her papers and medical form. I am assuming the 'form' is the .pdf they sent us with the list of hospitols on it? And what 'papers' are they referring to? She said they told her 'english papers'. Any ideas? Should I make some calls to see what this form is? Also ... the P3 supplemental form ... she just wrote the answers on the sheet and signed and dated it. I hope this is good enough? She didnt write the answers on a seperate sheet of paper.
  15. Another question ... sort of off topic ... when I go to ACH can I take my cell phone? Not sure of the legality of it? Also, when my wife has her interview I am sure she will not be able to take her cell phone, but can I take mine and hold hers while I am waiting downstairs? Just wanting to know if we should get a locker at the train station for phones before interview ...
  16. My wife lives in Shenzhen, so I am flying into Guangzhou. She will take the train there to meet me the week before her interview. We will be using the hospitol on the list thats in Guangzhou. So I will have her call ahead and make an appt just to be safe, even if it is first come first served. By the way ... for any CR-1s contemplating electronic processing ... its FAST!! I got an e-mail 10:30 at night last week thursday and have been scrambling making flight plans and squaring away my personal time at work. I highly recommend anyone doing CR-1 opt in for electronic processing!
  17. For the medical examination for my wife do we have to make an appointment? Or can we just walk in for the exam?
  18. I am electronic processing ... and while my wife will take EVERYTHING to her interview we did recieve a list from GUZ of what hard copies they want. In this document they say some of the .pdfs are enough, but require hard copies of others. As I say, though, we will be bringing EVERYTHING just to be safe.
  19. My wifes interview date has been set. Its at the end of September. The e-mail cover sheet I got mentioned the medical examination. Should I have my wife shcedule an appointment? Does the consulate schedule this? Can she see any Dr. or does it have to be one in Guangzhou? Thanks, Appaullo
  20. Let me just say ... WHEW!! Thank you for the fast replies!
  21. OK ... Time for my usual dumb question. On all of my paperwork so far my wife's address has been listed as where she is staying in Shenzhen with her mother and brother. But on her police report it is listed as her home town. Can I expect a problem because of this? Appaullo
