Last night, instead of chatting as we would normally do, my chunqiu filled out the p-3, checked with me on some things to be sure she had some spelling and such right, made sure my phone number was correct. She has already mailed it. Yes, you are right we have had no hitches so far, but i am waiting for the big one. There has to be a big one. I'm not this lucky in anything, well except in who i have as a wife. I am very greatful to your Li if she has helped my wife. I hope our spouses can be there for each other. I will not be able to attend the big day, but i'm sure if your Li and my Chunqiu are present, they should definatly be there to encourage and support each other. Thanks again. =)

My wife has p3, she is from Tieling city, lived there most of her life. she has lived in beijing for 2 years. She got her police report when i visited last week. She says she doesnt need a police report from Beijing. I think she should get it. What is the final word on this if you please?

The day I left for China to see my Chenqiu, I called DOS and they said P-3 was mailed to her. The day after I got back from my visit she picked it up at the post office. Man, I picked up a terrific cold =(

It's just like the USCIS, they just love their documentation. As a nonresident spouse, who has not yet entered the US, the IRS does not have the right to treat her income or lack of income as US income for tax purposes unless you declare in writing that you wish for this to happen. It is out of their jurisdiction unless you make this claim in writing. If it is to your advantage to claim the additional deductions then it's not a bad idea, but if it would cause you to pay additional taxes then it's not unless you feel that giving the US government more money as a gift. Ok, I'm here with my wife in Tieling, and she has filled out a IRS form W-7. My tax preparer says it is unlikely we can get any money benefit from it, but my wife has read posts saying we can get some benefit by doing it. Do any of you know if we ought to persue W-7? thanks.

Hey guys/gals. That part about paying for airline travel. Say im in usa, and im just a bit strapped for cash, and I get a real good deal for airfare. so my wife, who is in china wires it to me. Would the VO be bent if they found that out? I mean seriously, I was saving for the ticket I knew I was gonna have to buy anyway, but for what I paid that was the only way to do it. I might add, I am impressed a woman from china can wire that kind of money. I always was under the impression chinese people were kind of poor. Thanks.

Hey, did you need the full I-130 filled out for the interview? I am doing K-3 visa, so I was thinking of taking I-129F and I-130 forms filled out. Is that necessary?

All I really have to say in reply to this. I researched everything on the uscis web site, visited numbers of other websites, asked a few lawyers and called my congresspersons office and got some words of wisdom there, in addition my wife has done a lot of research for me too. All of course augmented by some well answered questions from this community. I think what I mean to say, the helpful people here can and will help you, but thats only 5% of the total 100% of the digging you will just need to do yourself. I think perhaps if someone is a bit testy with you, it could be that you are asking questions that you well should have looked around for yourself first, perhaps something really obvious like, what forms do you need to send in I-129F or something like that. Well, mate, good luck, and remember also, the peeps here are willingly helping out, so if you dont get along with em, find another web site to ask question on, cause all these people are nice and straight people in my experience and my humble opinion.

I will not be in GUZ, but I will be in Tieling. Pretty far huh? I'll be able to give you moral support , and it will come from China, so I hope thats enough. =)

I called DOS today, and they told me it can take 120 days for GUZ to get to the approved application once it has been mailed from NVC. I was innitially under the impression it would only take 30 or so days. Anyone have any definitive info on that? According to DHL, the package was mailed Dec 9, 05, and received by ??? Dec 16, 05. The agent who stores or warehouses petitions has had it for way over 30 days. Our application is K-3 visa. Thanks guys. /Wave

I think also, look in the phone book, in the blue section will be government listings. Look up immigration and call them, or visit them, and you can ask them. That is why I am leaning on being patient. On the other hand, my wife saw that our package was very light, and something was said about faster processing. Oh well, gimme more cheetos please.

According to NVC , the petition for K-3 was mailed to Guz Dec 16. It is Jan 12, and when I called DOS they say there is no entry for our case. I was not given an explanation. I think the wisest course is to just be patient, but is there a point to where I should wonder if our case has been lost or something? Is there a cure for the cheetos addiction? I actually get the sudden compulsion to run to the store and get a bag, Meijer had them 2 for 1. /drool.

I loved my woman so much, I went to china and married her, then I filed I-130, got receipt mailed off I-129F. Look at my time line, I went from sending in paper work to package sent to GUZ in 3 months. My wife will hopefully get her P-3 soon, if i'm lucky she will be here in March April ish. Good luck to you.
