1. The interview is the final step in the process, not the end in itself the above mentioned is the difinition of oxymoron. how can something be the final step before the final step. Ok, i'm trying to be humourous. I hope its working hehe.
2. I am very troubled by this GUZ request. The mere existence of this request strongly supports the conclusion that petitions are being reviewed (and potentially targeted for denial or a blue slip) before the actual interview takes place. 211105 We are talking about a "visa PROCESS". I have always believed and certainly hoped that the cases are reviewed multiple times before the interview. The interview is the final step in the process, not the end in itself. As such I am very happy each time I see evidence of case review prior to interview. 211107 A rhetorical figure in which incongruous or contradictory terms are combined
3. If you want to be on the safe side, take much more money than you think you will need. If you have extra after paying, enjoy a nice dinner afterwards. If its more than you expected, well there you go!!
4. I am really happy for you, enjoy your lives together.
5. Man, brother I dont mean to sound rude. You should have just done it yourself. I mean if you read the stuff on uscis web page and research some things yourself you really dont need one. I didnt use a lawyer, and my wifes interview is in June. I have a high school edjucation. Although I dont mean to judge by saying that, i'm not that particularly smart, although smart enough to know that lawyers only want your money. Like a prostitute. I can see if there is an issue that you need to use a lawyer, well use a lawyer. This stuff isnt so complicated that you need one. Did you already pay the guy? You could take him to small claims court for your money back, but then court fees and (lawyer fees) if you really want to try to prove to the court that your current attorney did you wrong, you might not get back what you paid them. Stick it out, wait for the NOA1 to come in. If there is a problem they will ask you what they need. Good luck mate, hang in there. Lawyers are evil, you know that right?
6. I guess flying to china for the interview dont make it any more certain than sitting at home in the states while SO goes. sorry to hear about your issues man. sucks eggs.
7. can you imagine an interview on 6/6/06? i mean thats kind of scarry. my wifes says 6 is a very good number in china.
8. Hey, hows it feel bro. =) I got the happy news myself today.
9. Thats awesome man, you must be feeling relieved.
10. I was also informed the P-4 was mailed out
11. After some 57 days of daily calling I was informed this morning that my wifes interview date has been established. I was also informed the P-4 was mailed out. Interview is in June, man I cant remember if she said 5th or 6th, I was whooping and thanking God. It just so happens I talked with B.J., she is the woman I have mostly been talking with at DOS and it was fitting I hear it first from her.
12. My wifs has a friend on oo1.cn.com, and is in the same time line with us. She just got her interview the other day. Xing my fingers for now.
13. What I received was the bill for the pre interview package. In the packet it said our petition was granted please send such and such ammount to us, and mail to us the attached forms. The K-3 was approved but the original I-130 was approved also.
14. I am indeed waiting for K-3 visa app. Howerver the I-130 app was also approved, I just threw the paperwork away, because we will adjust her status in the usa. Still though, waiting is painful.
15. OUCH 56 days and waiting for interview schedule. I know it can be any time now. or another month. This is becomming as much fun as that last 8 hour root canal I once sat through. Of course, thanks to God and good genetics, the dentist said I had the deepest roots she had ever seen. hehe.
16. Just a thought, but if someone asks me a question and i follow it up with a threat, Your help would be greatly appreciated as many of us are willing to assist in lobbying US Government officials to increase funding for GUZ to meet the current workload. I'd probably be evasive or get mad and not answer it. Its more a question of human psychology and tact. =) just my 2 cents really.
17. Has anyone found a pattern to the DOS in as far as when information is updated? Is it weekly or bi-weekly? Thanks just trying to figure out if i'm calling too much. =)~
18. Hey man, why dont you call your boss and see if he will compose a letter, sign it then fax it to you. if you have somewhere you can recieve a fax. I mean, for last notice on something like that, I dont know. Do like they said, just keep a straight face and deal with it if it comes up. Also about the fax, the rules strickly say, unless we ask for orignials you need only send copies. So fax is a copy right?
19. Hello, You should go to your representatives local office and talk to the person directly that handles immigration inquiries. Get a commitment for a status back from them. I have all these addresses and phone numbers ready in case I hit a glitch. -James 207670 I ran into something so completly mind boggling, so far off from right field , calling DOS today. The kindly woman told me, "oh I remember you, and im really sorry there is still no interview scheduled. I'm very sorry this is taking so long" OMG I actually called a person with a heart. B.J. I love ya =)
20. Before you worry too much about stuff, marry your SO, then do what my last post shows you to do. Pay attention to the particulars, dont even worry about P3 P4 GUZ cause you got a lot of sitting around eating cheetos to begin to understand all of this confusing stuff. Good luck.
21. It takes a bit to find the information but here is the specific to do lists for what you need. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide1
22. http://uscis.gov/graphics/ That should be your first journey, you will need the I-130 form sinse you will be marrying your SO. Visajourney.com has a really good run down on all the things you need to do to prepare things.
23. I called DOS today, it was still 1 202 663 1225 1, 0 , 0 and i got right through.
24. I emailed GUZ last friday, I just got this reply this morning. Dear Mr. ****: Thank you for your email. We will schedule an interview for Ms. ****, Chun *** soon.
25. I think the bottom line here is that your son CAN accompany your SO to the US with the necessary paperwork and an interview, up to one year later. This is irrespective of your answer to 21A. GUZ will leave this door open. As long as your SO's paperwork is complete, she will be scheduled for an interview, and your son MAY attend, but doesn't have to if he is not going. If the GUZ asks for additional information, provide it. Otherwise, all you can do is to stock up on Cheetos. All DOS can do is relay what they see on their computers. Official notification of anything will come from the GUZ. 205457 Unfortunately if there is a question about 21a they will stop all processing until the question is answered to their satisfaction, in our case we got held up about 7 weeks and I was fortunate in receiving an email from them instead of waiting for a letter. GZ usually leaves question 21b open for children just in case things change and I'd bet that saves them a bunch of grief in the process. I do recall a number of people having problems a year or so back with the children not being included in the P-3 and now it seems to be reversed. 205462 We, the honest and law-abiding citizens have to wait for nine months to two years to legally bring our immigrant SO's into this country. Why don't we just sneak them over the border, wait 2 years, and let them become citizens the "Republican" way?????? Ok, I am jet-lagged and crabby to beat hell, but ya know what? The satisfaction of working within the system and getting her and her daughter here will be well worth it. Ahhhh, the school system. I feel another headache coming on.... 205673 yeah don't get me started on that BS. I guess the Chinese mindset of Naixin isn't a powerful enough lobby tool compared to a bunch of admitted illegal aliens flying foreign flags in protest of being denied legal status. Illegals of any nationality piss me off, but then we're just preaching to the choir, eh? 205857 Ok, the fax machine was not speaker phone, I dialed my ecallchina number , password and dialed the fax number, the buzzzzzz started and i hit start, the paper was ran through so i guess it worked. Anybody know enough about fax machines to think i should resend it?
