  1. could anyone advise how it is done? i want to extent my tax filing deadline because i want to wait for my wife's ssn and filing jointly. thanks
  2. thank you for your input, however, isn't it that W-7 is only for people who is not eligible for SSN? my wife is eligible for a SSN, but she is not going to get a SSN before she gets her EAD. I am wondering what can i do on my tax before it reach April 15, 2006. thanks!
  3. does anyone know that if i can use a tax payer id instead of a social security number to file my income tax jointly? we married on 2005 and she is here on January, 2006. thanks for your help!
  4. hi everybody, my wife is finally arrive here in san francisco, california. since she is here now, it is time to take care the next step for her green card. I am not sure what to do after she is here. any advise? like green card stuff, thanks!
  5. my wife has k3 visa, and she is planning to depart from hong kong. since K3 is a non-immigrant visa, do she need to show round trip air ticket when she enter hong kong as a prove that she is not going to stay there? any advise would help, thanks!
  6. hi everybody, happy christmas to everyone. my wife has pass the interview in hong kong and she will be getting her visa soon, but there is one problem here and would like to hear some opinions. she passed the interview on dec 21, 2005, and seems like she will get her visa on dec 23 2005, which is friday before the holiday. unfortunely, her visa is not yet delivered to the post office so that means she will probably have the visa on tuesday(monday is holiday). well, since her passport to hongkong is only 7 days and she have to leave hong kong on monday. so, does anyone know that if someone can pick up the visa for her? if she could get the visa on time, then it will be the best christmas gift ever to me.
  7. sure i can post these information as soon as i gets home because i am working away from home.
  8. my wife finally got the intervew at hong knog next week, but in her p4 package, she said that there is only 3 pages of information, and there is no forms to file out, is that normal? anther thing is that does she need to pay for the visa fee? i am kind of confused. thanks for your help!
  9. i just like to share with everybody that the total process from the date (8/17/2005) that i sent i130 to the date(12/21/2005) of interview is only 4 months and a week through the US consulate in Hongkong. Hopefully my wife could get through the interview, and i wish someone could have some advise for her at the interview at hong kong. thanks!
  10. thank you for your quick reply, just like to ask you another question, for nonimmigration visa(ds156), by the time that you sent the form back to US consulate in GZ, do you also pay for the US100 in advance? i think hongkong does the same. thanks again! david
  11. hi everyone, i am a new user at this sign and after i have browsed this forum, and i found that there are not many people filing through the hong kong consulate, however, i hope some one can solve my questions here. i am applying for k3 and now is on p3 stage, my wife is chinese resident and we married in hongkong. she has received p3 package and has returned the nessarry forms today, in her p3 package, it also has included medication exam information and list of banks in hongkong for her to pay for the fees. so, usually at the stage of p3, what kind of fee does she need to pay? shoud she pays it to the bank that they provided or pay during the interview? another thing that i want to say is hong kong makes this k3 process really fast, from the date(8/16/2005) that i sent i130 to receive of p3(11/15/2005) is about 3 months, and i would expect to wait another two months til interview date. hope if anyone could help me and i am very appreciated! david
