Check to see if your local library has it.... no sense to buy it unless it is a real "keeper" I never heard of it, so can't give you a review. -
Interview/P3 Lists for the Months of January 2006
HanLi replied to Timeline's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Mark, any updates going to be posted soon?? -
Hello Hanli: Thank you for the welcome. My girlfriend Feng will be happy to know some of the members are from Shanghai. I liked it so much, I think I might like to retire there. I have a large vocabulary of Mandarin from years of training in Chinese martial arts, but presently I study the Pimsleur Mandarin system. On my fourth lessons, I actually understood a short conversation between two Mandarin speakers. That felt great. My girlfriend is in school in Shanghai for English, but so far she is having a rough time. i think it's because she can't use it in daily life. If I can get her here, that will change quickly. You are very lucky to see her soon! Thanks again for the welcome, you are very kind. chinglung 189508 Hi Patrick, Well I was not able to go to Shanghai as I thought, as I came down with a terrible case of Tonsilitis which almost put me in the Hospital. Interesting that your wife is going to school in shanghai studying English, so is my wife.... possibly they may know each other. Looking forward to hearing your progress on the overcome. good luck

Afterthoughts...from the interview...
HanLi replied to ameriken's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
Ken & Jie, Small correction to Carl's comment about getting added to your bank account. I recently did this by providing my wife's Chinese Driver's License and Passport, notarized by the Counsulate in Shanghai. I sent the signature cards to her, and when I submitted to the Bank, they accepted because the identification was verified as required by law. Now that she is here, you can do same at the Bank in person I am pretty sure. Further, I added my wife and her daughter to my health insurance only need to show a certified copy of our marriage certificate and my step-daughters birth certificate. I am really happy for you guys... -

If you lie, you can lose!! Best to be straight and tell the truth, and provide GUZ with everyhing they ask for. Keep copies and be sure you put the GUZ number on every page, on top right corner. Send by certified mail so you can have evidence that they received the documents/letters you send. good luck -

Any Tax Prep service can get it done in next couple of weeks... the form is very specific in asking for your last 3 years returns..... that now includes 2005.... I need to do mine too, and am headed to H&R Block now... that is not an endorsement of that tax service, though I use them every year... good luck

HanLi replied to longstrangetrip's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
One other place other than police history... The DS-230 (part I) will ask for places of residency since age 16, of six months or more... 174096 David, thanks for the clarification, it was my intent to mention that, but that is what makes this forum so great, always more information from the collaborative effort.... -
