1. Has anyone ever had to prepare a "evolution of relationship" letter for overcome evidence?
2. congratulations on 2... best wishes for the 3rd....
3. Rick, what was reason for 2nd blue slip? did you give them all they asked for in the first denial?
4. Hey Rich, Thanks for your thoughts, and I see you are moving along on your timeline too.... good luck!!
5. Lee, Thanks for the calming words and advice, the shock has worn off as well as the initial anger. I am planning of doing all I can to respond to the requests from the VO, the video presents a hardship, as it requires I make the previously unplanned trip to China. However, as I stated in an earlier post, I will enjoy being with my wife......... 220566 You can get a video made in GZ and remember it's not a matter of you both communicating in English or even Chinese, it's the two of you communicating. SmilingAsia might be able to recommend someone. If possible get the overcome submission scheduled for a couple of days after you will arrive in China so you don't need to wait in the queue. Make sure to register your trip with DOS online. Get the copy of your passport done at the Consulate, that way it will show you just entered the country. A bit of grumbling there might not hurt. Good luck 220568 Thanks Lee, not sure if we will make it GUZ during my trip there, but if so, I will already have the video done beforehand somewhere in Shanghai...

7. The glass is always half FULL! I have no idea what your feeling right now but you have the right attitude. It sounds like they only want a few things so get them together and send them off. Or take them with you so you can see your wife! Then make the video over there. Don't let it get to you, it's almost over! 220454 Lou, Thanks for your support...
8. Hank I admire you for finding the silver lineing here! BTW: I understand that the VHS video making business does well in GUZ also. Edit: corrected from Triggtionary to English 220440 Right......... and thanks for your kind words.......
9. You only need to find anyplace that can do video or do it yourself with any digital video camera. GUZ does NOT require VHS. USCONGUZ has confirmed they will also accept DVD or VCD. All you need is a digital video camera and a computer. NO NEED to find somebody to do VHS. I hope my video isn't needed, but if it is, they can pop it into any computer and click on the icon and watch it. 220452 Mike, thanks for the info... but I am still worried that the VHS language on her slip is a controlling factor........
10. Rick, You are a whiz at this kind of thing, but I don't have a way to make any kind of video... My wife showed me the slip on cam yesterday it was specific as to requiring VHS...
11. Okay... do you think I need to make separate post regarding Video Tape process being done in Shanghai? I already have a R/T ticket for Shanghai, and that is where my wife lives.......
12. I really appreciate everyones PM's and show of support and encouragement. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get the VHS done in the correct format in Shanghai? Looks like I might have to take a trip there......... Upside is ... I get to see my wife!!!!
13. Thanks to all for your support, help, and well wishes on the PM's She had a Chinese guy around 40, was very rude to her and told her to send her daughter back to a chair, this was with the lines next to her having their children standing with them. Anyway, his English was very good, but he spoke very fast, and she had difficulty understanding him, so he switched to Chinese. She was showing him some letters, and wanting to know why my sisters had written.... she replied, to congratulate her and welcome her to the family, etc... asked her for my 2005 tax returns.... (my screw-up) then told her that she would have to present more evidence. 1. evolution of our relationship (from me) 2. 2005 tax return 3. video tape of us talking... 4. copy of every page of my passport, including blank pages and clear and legible entry and exit stamps for my visa's I'm really still too angry to talk about it, but my senators office did send an inquiry to the GUZ today.
14. Hank, I'm so sorry to hear that. Here is her website and contact info... http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/biog/6297.htm http://contact-us.state.gov/cgi-bin/state....nduser/home.php What happened?? 220141 is there a direct email address for her? this is a general DOS site...
15. Hank, I'm so sorry to hear that. Here is her website and contact info... http://www.state.gov/r/pa/ei/biog/6297.htm http://contact-us.state.gov/cgi-bin/state....nduser/home.php What happened?? 220141 Jesse, Thanks... will follow up later, now I am trying to put out the fire....
16. My wife was denied her visa..... does anyone have Maura Harty's email address????
17. all you can do at this point is wait and see, there are restrictions on how much they can respond canned or not, this is how it is, be patient and you will eventually have your SO with you good luck
18. Don't worry.... I know, it's easy for the rest of us to say that, but historically you just caught a glitch in the mail... follow David's advice... good luck
19. I asked GUZ here , but never got an answer... http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15273 208699 Yes, for sure. They require the most recent 3 years income tax return. Quote: You must attach evidence of current employment and copies of income tax returns as filed with the IRS for the most recent 3 tar years for yourself and all persons whose income is listed below. See" Required Evidence" in Instructions. Income from all 3 years will be considered in determining your ability to support the immigrant(s) you are sponsoring. I am a DCFer in GZ, just got my Packet 3 yesterday afternoon. We are happy now!! 208730 don't get a nosebleed from the speed at which you are moving with your DCF.... good luck
20. Hi Rick, I am predicating my response on the assumption that you are married, but your post is a little confusing.. It is indeed typical for the Chinese bride to keep her own name as it is her fathers, and is also a sign of respect. That is my situation, and I have no problem with it. If you married her, then hopefully you consumated your union and you lived together (even if short time) wherever that was, is the answer to Q 21. The response to the question on the G-325A should be your wifes name, since the I-130 is her application. I would tab all the documents, forms, etc... but put a cover letter on the front sheet identifying each tab. I sent in a copy of her Police report with my original submission, they are good for 1 year. As Mike indicated, all Chinese related documents will have to be translated and notarized. good luck
21. get the letter for peace of mind for your Laopo as well as the "last piece of the puzzle" its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it... good luck
22. Good luck Rick, hope the best for this part of the process.... and the future.....
23. That's what I thought. They do have a huge age difference but I'm not sure if that is a problem. I only know that the VO told his SO something about his previous petition and the fact he never got married within the 90 day timeframe. I'm thinking the letter he sent to cancel the orginal case never got to the correct people. 207692 the age difference shouldn't be the criteria.... there is just too big an unknown here to really try to "guess" what the issue is. The speculation can run the gamut!! hope he can work out his situation.. good luck
