Yes, we discussed this over and over for about a year. She was convinced that many American men beat their wives. I think that this is the downside of 001. It's good for a lot of things, but sometimes, it has been a long ordeal to convince her that the girls on 001 are wrong about some things.

Based on my discussions with NVC, the US visa service simply overlooked her name.

I had a couple of episodes like that. The first time it was very trivial - she thought I brought too much stuff to China. Her explanation is that it is "normal" for her to react very emotionally. However, I have noticed she doesn't seem to hold grudges at all and within a very short time forgets completely about it. It scared me for a while but I have written it off to her generally passionate nature. She pretty much shows all her feelings and doesn't withhold anything. So, I am always pretty clear about her feelings.

I had posted previously about my fiancees daughter not being included in her P3. We had emailed GZ about this but didn't receive a reply. So we sent in the DS230 forms for both her and her daugher anyway. Just got an email stating the daughter has now been added. So there won't be any delay

Yes, this is the thing that I was so impressed with every time I have been to China. I remember laying on a hammock in Sanya on the beach having Jenny feed me fresh mango while rocking the hammock. I have read so many stories of chinese women treating their visitors extremely well. Afraid I will disappoint her when she comes here

Yes, am always told to eat more - too skinny. Jenny has told me many stories of her youth when the family waited hours in line for an egg. So, I would say she is obsessed with having enough food when she comes here. She worries that since I am skinny she will starve I excercise daily and can eat 3-4000 calories per day without gaining weight. I think when she comes here I will be saying to her: eat less, exercixe more

I remember reading some story (sure it's Eastern philosophy but not whether its Zen or not). Can't remember the whole story but it goes like this: A beautiful horse wandered into a mans possession - good luck or bad? The mans son feel off the horse while riding it and broke his leg - good luck or bad? The Emporer declared a war and called for all young men to join the army. The mans son could not go because of his broken leg - good luck or bad? I think the story never ends. The point being that life happens to you and their ain't no point complaining about it since you never know how things will turn out in the end.

MY SO can cook well, but knows very few things to cook. Doesn't seem to have a cookbook or access to lots of recipes. She claims she never really learned to cook, but I think she is very teachable. I cook pretty well, so I will train her to cook some American dishes. Then I think its a matter of her getting some Chinese recipes and she'll be off on her own.

I certainly staying in an abusive and loveless marraige for far longer than was necessary (even for my children). When I left, my ex was sure that I was having an affair. Too funny to believe. I joined a divorce support group at my church and much of it was man-bashing (mostly women in the groups). I don't condone adultery, but after listening to these "betrayed" spouses, it sure seemed like they shared some blame in the marital problems.

My SO has researched this and found that its best to have a notarized statement from the bio father allowing him to go to US. Having custody agreement alone won't do the trick. (My ex has custody but can't leave the state with the kids much less the country)

My fiancee was a career women and one of her ex's complaints was that she was not a good cook. She doesn't have much confidence in her ability to cook but everything she's cooked for me has been good. Of course, most young American women can't cook either. I learnt to cook myself to overcome that deficiency. So we plan to do some team cooking in the kitchen (and later in the bedroom )
