    Yes, she's been told that NY is very slow with getting the interview for AOS and that "you can't have a normal life" without a greencard

    I'm not worried about all the logistics of EAD, SSN, etc. My post was really to highlight the insecurity that she can't lead a "normal" life until she has her green card.

    Haven't gotten the visa yet, but already being told about all my musts - must get married right away -must get SSN right away -must file AOS right away I'm sure no one else has experienced this

    My SO was telling me last night that there is someone who frequents 001 and gives discounts to 001 girls at this hotel. Price she told me was pretty cheap (I think it was 240rmb for a 2 BR suite with a kitchen - but don't quote me) Might have your SO check it out if your going soon

    All my reading of Taoism and Budhism led me to believe that patience is a great virtue. Yet it has been pointed out to me on several occasions that it is seen by a certain someone that it signifies a lack of caring. Has anyone else experienced this with Chinese women or is this a personal trait?
