5 months wait since blue ?

I met my wife online, at MatchDoctor.com, in February, 2008. I WANTED a Chinese wife, for reasons that GUZ can NOT understand. Not every marriage fits into their tight little spreadsheet of acceptable reasons for marriage. After being alone for 10 years, after my divorce, I finally completely gave up on white American women. I still think Chinese women make the BEST wives. I WANTED to marry a Chinese woman, and there aren't too many Chinese women in my area. Besides, any Chinese woman who has not recently come to the US is gonna be too Americanized for me, and will just be a whining bitch like my ex-wife. LOL. I wanted to learn another language, too. If the woman speaks fluent English, it will not force me to learn Chinese. So, finding someone who did not speak much English and was a traditional Chinese woman was what I was looking for. And I was SOOO tired of being alone.

We married two days after we met, which, I'll admit, threw up a huge red flag at the embassy. Ya know... sometimes you just know you met the right person, and three years later, I STILL know I made the right choice. I had met one other Chinese lady the previous year, and I knew she was NOT right for me. I had met several other Chinese women online, too. But I knew, deep in my heart, that Ping was the right one for me. So, in June 2008, we were married in China. I didn't have enough money for a gaudy official wedding, so we were married in a government office. At the time, I did not speak much Chinese and she did not speak much English. In late September, 2008, I submitted the I-130/I-129F for her and her daughter. In June or July, 2009, she had her first interview and received a blue paper. GUZ said we did not have a bona fide marriage. How the Hell would they know? Their flash cards don't list every reason an American man would want to marry a Chinese woman. They are not specialists in successful marriages. GUZ wanted proof that I had taken a Chinese class. I subsequently sent about 600 pages of printed documents... chat records, emails, pictures of us together, etc. Well, they finally denied her visa. We filed an appeal. Our case was sent back to the US. We waited. Finally, in March, 2010, it seemed like she would have her second interview. Well, we were wrong. The Department of State pulled our case back "for further review". I was told to wait 120 days before inquiring about our case again. I waited. After 120 days, I called the DOS and was assigned a special number. I was told to wait 60 MORE days. I waited. I called DOS again. I was told it was outside of the normal processing time (big DUH there) and told a SECOND special number would be assigned to the case, and to wait 30 more days for some kind of letter in the mail. This is where our cases stands now... we are still waiting for the DOS or NVC to get off their collective arses, and examine our case. Now, THREE FREAKIN' YEARS AFTER WE WERE MARRIED, we are still apart, and I don't have ANY FREAKIN' IDEA when she will have her next visa interview. This whole process is a sham and a shame. I know foreign born, naturalized US citizens that have met someone in their home country, and within six months their wife was here. My family has been here since 1640. I have never been arrested for anything, and neither has my wife. But for some ridiculous reason, the government... MY GOVERNMENT, has decided that I am trying to hoodwink the DOS, and that she is paying me to bring her to the US. I've contacted my Congressional reps' staff, and as stated in other posts, it was a complete waste of my time. How is it, that terrorists from the Middle East can be welcomed into this country, and we teach them how to fly planes into buildings, but some tiny 52 year old Chinese woman is treated like an anarchist? Where is the logic in all of this? There IS NONE. You are entirely at the mercy of the interviewer. If he/she didn't get laid the night before, your case will be denied on completely groundless accusations. For my wife's next visa interview, whenever that may be (2011,2012, who knows?), I am going to GUZ with her, and I'm coming prepared. If they deny her visa again, they WILL hear my wrath, and I WILL DEMAND TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE IN A HIGHER POSITION, even if that means speaking to the Head of GUZ. This is, without a doubt, the most incomprehensible waste of taxpayer money I have ever seen. And my wife constantly complains because America is supposed to the THE country of human rights, yet they seem to relish in their piddly power and seem to relish in making American citizens' lives miserable.

I am sorry to hear this .

If they think she paid you to get her and her daughter into the US , it is a VERY serious charge . It is a crime in that is punishable by imprisonment.

If you are clean , stand tall and hold it together with your wife . Be cooperative with them , what ever they want to see, let them see it . At the end, you will prevail.

Please understand that China is a high fraud country. Everyday, there are human trafficking , marriage fraud,etc.... Real crooks probably slipped through , they know what they are doing , so long as they are not doing it too many ....

Unfortunately, sometimes , good people also got caught in the trouble when their profiles don't seem logical ....

Did you front load everything when you did your petition filing ???

what 's your socio economic status compared to hers ?

It's sad for us to say goodbye to our friends at Candle for Love. Engaged 3 years ago and married 2 years ago, we are still permanently separated by GUZ. There was not even an explanation why both her K-1 and CR-1 were denied.

We have decided to get divorced. There is just no way we can continue the marriage like this. It's a torture for us and we both have agreed to quit. She is young and I don't want her to waste her youth on this.

It's a real shame on many levels. Something tells me that GUZ knows this will be the outcome in some cases; I always wondered if they didn't play the odds to prove their own point to justify it's continued methods.

Lulu and I have a contingency plan. It doesn't matter if they ever give us a visa; we'll just wait it out to see how we fair and if we need, she'll be waiting for me to come to china after a few years.

My only advice to people is: if your not willing to move to china as part of your vows, don't get married. Good luck to all.

Good post David, you know GUZ is playing the odds with these dang denials and never telling folks what the problem is....hell, the problem is THEM. But, they play the odds and let us honest people twist in the wind. They know some couple's rope will break from the twisting and they can say, "well see, we told you so".

Your last paragraph should be the first thing a man sees when he thinks about marrying a Chinese woman.

Took me 4 years and Hong just got approved. (1 interview a year)

We hit them with everything including a signed letter from the Prez for her 3rd interview and the said we had a non Bonafide. Trust me it takes time just make sure you have good knee pads and kiss lots of arse. They will ask for some pretty stupid items. Here are items that they requested from myself and Hong for past interviews.

1. "Signed letter from the petitioner's father welcoming you to the family." (she told them that he past away and they told her this." We still need a letter signed by the deceased") yes, you read right they wanted a letter from my dead father. and sent her a letter requesting the item to my lawyer.

2. "We see that you have no children, Will your ex'Husband allow you to take your children with you?" She told them that she was never married. "I will still need to see a letter allowing you to take your children to the USA"

3. Last the item they requested thru my lawyer to me to provide. A letter from my ex wife of whom I have no idea where she is at saying it was ok for me to marry another woman and asking her permission to allow her children to leave China with my current wife.

As my lawyer told me they will demand stupid things. it is up to you to go out of your way to find the items they need.

My fathers letter to them was a photo of his gravestone.

My wife wrote a letter stating that she did not want custody of any invisible children from her invisible ex'husband that she never married.

and last a letter signed by Ford Island HI saying that the govenment does not track down ex'wifes that commit adultery and were banned from the base.

Did you front load everything when you did your petition filing ???

what 's your socio economic status compared to hers ?

Not really knowing what I was doing, I only sent a handful of documents with the original I-130. I know a man who sent 33 pounds of paper with his I-130, and his wife's visa was approved at her first visa interview. If I knew then what I know now....

My wife is retired and only draws $150 per month in retirement pay. I send her about $450 each month, and I sent proof of this when I sent the 600 pages of documents.

And no... I don't think Asian women are docile, but my wife is the most forgiving, calm person I have ever met. She's also very conservative.

I just received an email from the USCIS. They are telling me to wait six MORE months before inquiring about my case again. So, I've got a question. Does it help or hinder my case if I call the USCIS or NVC and inquire about my case? Logic would say that my phone calls show my concern and my love for my wife. But one post on CFL said the process might be like the Veterans Administration. Every time you inquire about your case, your papers go to the bottom of the stack, even if your papers were originally second from the top. So, what can I do to speed things up? Is it better to just wait, without making any kind of inquiries? I have already waited two years and six months. How much longer will I have to wait? This is, without a doubt, the most horrendous process I have ever seen. If private companies were run as ineffectively as the USCIS and NVC are, the whole country would be bankrupt.

6 months is the standard response, doesn't really mean anything. I would think calling every 2 months would be OK.

Hi Davy,

I wrote a response, but somehow it was lost in the "back" click. Anyway, I want you to know that I understand very well what you are going through. My wife was denied in Jan 2010 for K3, and CR1 in Feb 2010. We had to wait until March 2011 before hearing directly from the USCIS. Others on this site have had to wait even longer.

Xiao Hua and I submitted our response to the NOIR, and within 3 weeks were reaffirmed. Now we wait again. Nobody can tell you how long, but we are hoping to be together by the end of July. We also contacted our senator, ombudsman, and made several stops by the local USCIS office.

I truly understand the frustration and anger you are feeling. As for my wife and I, in my heart I know we have become a stronger couple because of the wait. At this point one might say "follow the lemon aid".

My only advice would be to relax, find something constructive to do, and keep trying all the avenues to expedite the process. While the effort may seem futile, there is always a chance it will be worthwhile.

Good luck,

Wayne

Davy, many of us know what it is all about to wait. Please don't think that anyone here is taking your hurt and pain lightly, I know I don't.

Hang in ther, do what you can and in time you will prevail.Wayne gave you some good advice. You will be okay but I know the wait is a killer.

Good luck.
