My wife just came back to the hotel from the consulate and she passed.  It has been one year and it finally is over.  She said it was quick and fast.  She had a very nice VO a young chinese american woman, window 25.

Wife hands her my passport she quickly flipped though it.

Complemented my wife on her English and strong American accent.

Wife told her she was an English teacher and that because of spending time with me.

Questions:

1.  How did you meet?

2.  What was he doing there(China)?

3.  What did he teach?

4.  What kind of school?

5.  Is he working in China still?

6.  When did he leave China?

7.  How long have you been together?

8.  When did you get married?

9.  Can I see your pictures? (flipped through quickly)

Visa is approved.

That is it.

Thank you to everyone on this website for your help.  It has really helped clarify many questions I have had over the past year.  Good luck to all those who are still waiting.

When they flipped through my passport, my wife said it didn't seem like she was looking at anything in particular. I have many visa for China and Malaysia in there. I think she opened just because my wife gave it to her right when she walked up to the window. I just wanted the VO to know was outside waiting.

I think another thing that helps is y faithfully sending emails to Guangzhou every week. When I would call DOS they could see every email I sent to Guangzhou. I think showing that you are out there waiting and asking questions goes along way.
