  1. This is good advice, however my wife's grandmother does not have a job. So she does not have a house, a job or retirement savings....kinda puts me behind the 8-ball
  2. My wife is insisting that a phone call will fix the problem because on 001 many woman are posting that if they are direct and firm that a VO will speak to you. I am about ready to send a letter to congressman but I am not sure all of this work is worth it. Although my wife thinks otherwise
  3. My Wife's grandmother visa was denied a week ago. We are trying to get intouch with a VO as to way the visa was denied but it is impossible to talk to someone. I do know that my wife's grandmother does not have property and a savings but we tried to make a counter argument on that for many reasons. Can anyone help me?
  4. Well me and my Laopoo(Luckypotato) are back from China!!!! 1 week I cant believe it....We flew into Chicago on 12/26 went through immigration which was not so bad except the paperwork was out of order and it took the immigration officer 10 minutes to find all the papers he was looking for (I was sweating bullets). On our drive home my wife saw a few deer, she said to me can we eat them LOL B) She also saw wild ducks and said so fresh can we eat them too:lol: I laughed So many things are new to her its funny, she asked me the other day how does the dishwasher work and were does the water come from Went to Chinatown and she said ohhh it's little Hong Kong as she grabbed fish with her bare hands and put them in a bag to bring home (she even gutted them and cooked them up). She also said some funny things like when we were out to dinner with my family she said "I would really love to eat some spicey fish head!!!!mmmmmm" I thought my sister and her daughter were going to die so funny!!!!!!! Well just and FYI we got Married on friday and just settling in so I just figured I would drop in and say Ni Hao!!!!!
  5. I'm sure it dosnt hurt to organize your files so the person reviewing everything can just check things off fast
  6. First I would like to say "Most importantly CFL helped in moving my timeline along because without CFL support and information it would have been really hard". Thanks CFL'ers!!!!! "I would especially like to thank David Zixuan, who has been a friend and a great source of knowledge." Thanks Dave As for my guidance, many people have been asking me about how fast we got our k-1 visa and how they can speed things up. I will post more after I return from china but here is something i sent to another user through PM. advice...... fill out all the paper work as soon as you can (all the way through p4). Neatness & organization counts which I think had a big effect on my speed. I used adobe acrobat to fill out all the forms and when they sent p3 forms to me instead of my SO I downloaded the P3 forms from the CFL link and e-mailed them to my SO to print out and sign (saved 3 weeks). Even the p4 forms I filled out as much as possible and e-mailed to my SO, when she got p4 she just copied what i wrote in her handwriting. I believe my presentation, labeling of all items, and VCS helped very much. Each section was tabbed and i used push down binder (clear Staples clamp down binder) to hold all material(the binder has a spine that you can write on it to note the nature of submission (i129f, p3 ect, and a pocket for cover letter). In addtion my SO and I have never been married and i visted china 3 times this year. link to push down binder picture
  7. She may not be carrying any knives but I know she will be bring tons of chinese medicene.....Of course she does not believe in USA doctors and that we can actually heal ourselves...."Chinese Medicene much better and faster" yes dear roots and twigs and bark can heal everything
  8. Thanks this is all good advice and I will try not to forget my SO
  9. I will be leaving on tuesday for china and get to start the fun process of getting my SO's luggage to USA . I can t wait to see her but the luggage part has me a little aprehensive (she has many things) I guess what I am asking is what are the things we will need to do on our return and any advice on luggage....... 1) Visa in hand 2) all k-1 docs will be on us for the plane ride home 3) Fill out I-94 form (we get this on plane right?) 4) Can I get the EAD stamp in chicago? 5) Anything else I am missing?? Once again I would like to thank everyone for their help!!!! I also would like to wish everyone a happy holiday and wonderful new year!!
  10. Not that I have unlimited funds but i was in china 3 times and will be there a fourth time before years end to pick up my laopoo.
