  1. My step father's family was from Ireland. His parents came through Ellis island. They came from Ireland by boat and lived in New York, in the Bronx. My (step) grandmother had an Irish soda bread recipe that was 'to die for'. When I think of my Irish heritage; I am Irish descended from both sides of the family of which most are gone (including the grandparents on both sides), I feel the words of the playwright O Neal have come true in my life (speaking of the future for Irish American immigrants), 'There will be no Irish ants and uncles, no Sunday dinner....etc"
  2. Name the band Tin solders and Nixon coming, were finally on our own...................four dead in O--hi---o.....
  3. Two changes to consider. FROM: China has the world’s largest population. Is it time that a country of this size and importance has more than one consulate to handle immigrate visas? Countries of lessor populations and immigrant demand have multiple consulates. TO: China has the world’s largest population. A COUNTRY OF THIS SIZE AND IMPORTANCE SHOULD HAVE MORE THAN ONE CONSULATE TO handle immigrate visas. Countries of lessor populations and immigrant demand have multiple consulates. [sounds a little less condescending not in the form of a question (in my opinion)]. FROM: As the US consulate in China is considered US soil, we ask that everyone who enters is treated with the basic human rights of dignity, respect, and non-discrimination that is fundamental to our way of life. We ask for no special treatment, rather, the same consideration, care and service that anyone requesting a visa in China would and should expect. We ask for no special treatment, rather, the same consideration, care and service that anyone requesting OTHER VISA TYPES IN CHINA AND AND VISA REQUESTS THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE WORLD would and should expect. [it seems to me that China visa wait is the longest, not sure but if so we should say so]
  4. Hey Trigg I like your revision a lot, sounds good.
  5. Got to sneeze, tell my cfl family.
  6. Oh, have an itch........post it on cfl.
  7. Um ya, keep Trigg on the other side of the big river. No opossum eatin, coon hat wearin, squirrel fryin hillie billies allowed up north. Wait, that's half of this city here. Oh hi Trigg, how are you???
  8. One of my co-workers just gave me a great idea for sending money to China. If you both have a pay pal account you can sent money to your SO. I've used it to pay for e-bay items in Hong Kong, Korea and Japan. No fee either.
  9. After ya figure out the cheetos thing, you'll wish we had!!!
  10. Now doesn't that feel great, your on your way to the top.
  11. I was just talking with one of my co-workers about VN. He spent some time there recently since he adopted a VV child. He said the open food markets were quite an experience.
  12. I think the LIN number is just as good for tracking. Any time I call NVC they ask for either, I asume Guz office should work the same way.
  13. Good point, then if something 'comes to light' and you get sent away you could/should know why and be given a chance to fix it before everything is sent back.
  14. Nope, no p3 yet. I Should have it w/in the next 30 days or so. from my time line. I-130 case approved by CSC...........................12/9/04 k-3 case approved...........................................2/28/05
  15. Its a little early even for me, but stick around and you'll learn to have a chip on your shoulder too Welcom to the cfl family, its a good place to vent.
  16. Ya, my wife has kept things on the 'down low' for now, shes been worried someone might do something like the letter sending.
  17. Trigg, Thats a really good question. I suppose that even if they don't sending a letter to GUZ could cause a delay if they have enough info.
  18. Congratulations!!!!!!! Now the fun begins, time to clean.
  19. Glad to hear you got through it. Congratulations!!!!
  20. Mixed with the right ingredients, say cheetos. It could cause deadly gas......................after consumption, of course. Dirty Dr Pepper bomb.
