1. OK, if you need the number let me know. I think they are only there two days a week. the other cicil surgeon insisted on the entire physical at $525 dollar-d'ya think maybe they need to have some kinda regulations??? I'm suprized that Knoxville doesn't have any of them??!!
2. Nashville is a long long way to go but yes, you can get the vac supplement here. There is a list of civil surgeons on the UCIS website that should be closer than you. The one I found here costs 90$ and that includes all shots needed if any. I'll look for his name and number later if ya still need it. Usually if you bypass the receptionist and go directly to the nurse you can get them to understand that you don't need the full physical. Of course should you decide to come to Nashville it is required that you stop in beautiful downtown white house and witness the mop slapping first hand.
3. Huge thanks to Frank and Jingwen for welcoming our dysfunctional family unit to Atlanta. Jingwen cooked one of the absolute best Chinese seafood meals that have ever been devoured by me. WAY TOO GOOD!!! The Frankster and I solved all the worlds problems in an evening and Frank forced us to go to a dim sum restaurant the next morning that rivals any food I have ever eaten in China. Frank and Jingwen and family are just plane good people--'nuff said-thanks ya'll If the rest of you get a CHANCE TO SPEND TIME WITH OTHER CFL COUPLES DO SO--IT IS ALWAYS GREAT TO SHARE EXPERIENCES AND DETERMMINE IF YOUR WIVES ARE REALLY CLONES. (damned caps locks again) Anyway, Fang Ling is now doing the traditional comparison between me and "Jingwen Husband" as always I'm losing--hell, how can I compete with a man who has a job?? Thanks Frank and Jingwen!!!!!!!!
4. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
5. That is one lame DR. But, like Frank said Chinese are programmed into litening to and believing any authority figure. The solution is simple--she belived the DR before so she will believe him again--call him, set up an apointment and have him undo what he has done--
6. Be very careful not to anger the gZ god or you may get that response two minutes after the interview date-not a good thing to happen me thinks
7. Most likley you will get approved for the green card -BUT-then they will tell you you need wait for the FBI namecheck generated by your fingerprints so they will mail you the greencard in 5-6 months.
8. You called a hooker to assist you on your horneymoon?? I must say your relationship is much more liberal than mine.
9. My SO and I have stayed at the victory hotel a few times-no problem. In fact, there is a cat house in the basement level of the victory-or so I am told!
10. Of all the people I've ever spoken to during this process, the fingerprint appointment people seem to be the most maladjusted. They actually seem to resent you calling up to make an appointment! Perhaps I woke mine up... 140877 Surely you didn't make the rookie mistake of calling during time alloted for doing their nails!!! did you??
11. I've never heard of anyone bringing the X-rays to the AOS interview. I surley did not. As I understand it you will not get an AOS interview appointemnt until after the biometrics are done.
12. A K1 is authorized to work. The SSN must be applied for within 76 days of entry into the country. After that you will need an EAD for a work authorized SSN. The real problem is finding an SSA office that understand these rules!! EAD connot be filed before the I-485.
13. A recent conversation I had with a UCIS supervisor may blow the hell out of the 'horses mouth' theory. I called USIC and bypassed the phone flunky in order to speak to a supervisor. My AOA interview was coming up and I was confused about the physical as I know of at least four people who's SO's had their physicals in GZ only three-four months before sending in the I-485 and they were asked to get another physical. My So's physical was 15 months old and I had heard that they expire after one year. First question to the UCIS supervisor--'Is my SO's physical still good after one year'?? Answer: "NO, the physical is only good for 12 months" 'But I know several who had successful AOS interview and they had their physical over a year ago' Response: "The immigration officer can wave an additional physical if they chose too." Second question: 'If the physical is good for a year then why are some being asked to take another after only four months?' Answer: "Because the IO can request any addition information they see fit." 'So you are saying that the rules don't count and the IO can either wave requirements and/or add new ones as they see fit?' Answer: "The IO has the authority to handle the case as they see fit" Blah Blah Blah!! Anyway, I did not get the second physical for my wife-we did get the I-693 vacc supplement from the civil surgeon in a sealed envelope--we were never asked for either. Moral of this story--just 'cause it is written and told to you by a UCIS representative does not make it so--They CAN, AND DO, change the rules at their leisure!!!!!!!!!
14. Damn man--looks like they finnaly got something moving anyway. Gheeez, you'd think they would at least put you to the front of the line.
15. I am the boss!!!! I really really am!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! Really!! 16. Can you say "CLOSURE"?? I knew you coukd--great feeling huh??
17. Sounds like the Dr's misdiagnosed wall pains for heart pains and are now looking for whatever in order to save face. Over zealous diagnostic practices are what cause type I errors (false positives). Ricky is a tough ole dude--he'll do fine if the med pros will leave him alone!!
18. Now that it is summer and very very hot we turn on the 'Aircoditionyary'
19. Yup, some members of the Turd Herd (goat boy) will do anything to chock up another post. Just look at the first line of a response and puke out somthing that sounds compassianate--OR-they are way ahead of us and giving him congrats on the AOS interview!?!?!?!?
20. Frank: I did check the expected time for several cities. Some are only 1 or 2 months out and most were 3 to 4 months, but Atlanta was the "winner" at 2+ years!! Equal justice under the law? Maybe, but it sure gets doled out differently depending on where you live!!! 136922 Just checked UCIS online BS page. Atlanta is processing I-485s from August 2003-only a scant 23 months wait time and certainly seems to be deserving of the too F$##in' long trophy. HOWEVER, Memphis is stuck at March of 2003--that makes the wait an even 28 months and gives the folks from TN the halffast lifetime achievement award!!!!
21. Take everyhting you have to the physical. They will go through it-organize it, then put it in a sealed envelope for the interview. Whatever they don't put in the envelope-have your SO carry to the interview.
22. I did two letters-one from me and one fro her when we filed the I-129f. Then, as demended by my attorney, one from me dated within 90 days of the interview (thats why two). She did not need one as one of the forms she is supposed to sign at the interview has an intent to marry statement in it!
