  1. Cool Dan.....Guess everything is ready to go....will go everything one more time just to double check and make sure its all there...really appreciate your help....ллÄ㵤£»·Ç³£¸ÐлÄã°ïÖúÎÒÃÇÁ˽âºÍÍê³ÉµÄÊ®ÄêÂÌ¿¨£¬×£ÄãµÄ¼ÒÍ¥ËùÓгÉÔ±ÓÀÔ¶½¡¿µÐÒ¸£¡£
  2. There's no problem with punching holes in the I-751 ?.....Just don't want to pull someones chain because i poked holes in the form.
  3. I also noticed either the lack of a request for a current passport type photo.....did I miss it in the instructions or do they use the one that is currently used for the two year green card?...oh and one more thing.....I should leave the I-751 form separate /loose from the packet of evidence ie not acco clipped with the evidence....right?.....check for processing loose in envelope also?
  4. Can the fees all be paid with one check, or should I write separate biometrics fees checks for each of the children? I'm figuring one check for $760 should cover everyone if it is acceptable.....feedback?
  5. Putting the packet together now....don't know if this is a stupid question or not....When sending bank statements, copies of credit cards etc, should I black out the account numbers and routing numbers?...Just wondering because if the credit cards are blacked out, then how do they know if they are the same account?
  6. Daughter is going to college now, but I am sure we have her registered and paid up before her card expires...and I don't see the daughter getting her drivers liscence any time soon, so will follow your advise Dan and apply jointly....seems the best way to go.
  7. If you file only one I-751, you will only get one fee receipt. An option is if the ASC is located with their field office, bring passports, when doing biometrics and get an I-551 stamp placed in them, then the passport will serve as evidence of legal presence. Other option is to schedule an info pass appointment, and get the I-551 stamps. And what you are saying is, it is best to file jointly but if we need to prove the legal prescence soon, then I should get the infopass appt to get the I-551 stamps....right?
  8. If you file only one I-751, you will only get one fee receipt. so?....am I better off to file each separately so I can get a receipt for each, or to file all jointly? They will all recieve their ten year green card eventually...right? What you are saying is if they need to soon provide legal, then i should file sepately....Right?
  9. Crystal clear Dan....Thanks for the clarification
  10. As I stated in my previous question, Rong has two children. One is 13 y.o. and the other is 20 y.o. When I filed for the conditional green card, I had made an error on the childrens applications and therefore recieved their green cards later than their mothers. Not a big difference though, Mothers expires next month on the 12th and the childrens expire Dec. 28th. My question is, because they all fall within the 90 period, can they all be applied for on one application? Also, is there any problem with the age of the elder child as to filing together with her Mother? I looked over the instructions for the I-751 but could not find where it differentiates as to what is considered a child or adult (18 y.o. or 21 y.o.).
  11. Thank you Dan for your responce and for the links. I'm sure they will come in handy. I'll be hitting this hard next week.
  12. Rong's two year green card expires next month on the 12th, and her childrens expire in December. Have been busy with harvest and will finish up this weekend. Can someone give me an idea about how long it takes to get the apps all finished and sent in? Do they just need to be sent in before the expiration date or must they be in and approved before the expiration date?
  13. Hang in there! So far the storm is a big wuss... LOL streets barely even flooded. Will wake up and see if anything happened. I agree....is nothing more than a big storm with localized heavy rain...seen the weather man from TWC broadcasting in the street, lamenting the cars that were driving by...then a very small branch blew by him, a car drove over it easily...seen a clip of some shingles being blown back on a roof...WOW..if its so bad, then what the H was he doing out there?...Its all about sensationalism...want to see something that i found really interesting, google the film clip of the black hole devouring a star...now that was pretty cool.
  14. My step daughter just returned from china after going there to visit her friends and attend one of her friends wedding...she asked me if it is possible to have one or two of her friends to come here for a week or two to visit and then return to china...I know it is difficult to get a visitor visa for your fiancee when in the process of going the k-1 visa....but i have not heard too much about applying for a visitor visa for friends.....anyone ever do this and accomplish the feat?
  15. well.....she got there safe and sound....that is after united's 3 hour delay and air china's connecting flight 2 hour delay....but she's a happy camper to be back with her friends after 2 1/2 years of not seeing them. and yes tsap....it is united flight 851 to beijing and flight 850 back to chicago....has been like that since i first started going to china in '06
  16. As I was looking at our daughters passport, I notice she still has the I-94 card stapled inside with her port of entry stamp on it......Is this supposed to still be in the passport?...or should it have been removed by someone during her in processing here or at the point of getting the green card....help on this will be appreciated.
  17. Well, this is for Rong's 19 y.o. daughter who has never travelled on her own, so I tried to make it as simple as I could....straight from chicago to beijing and then on to xi'an....plenty of time between flights for her to do all the immigration business and figure out where to go and how to do....(i remember my first time doing all that with a bit of a language barrier)....anyway, return is the same as going....just everything in reverse.....had to pay just a bit more to keep from having to visit additional airports in the U.S., but still kept it under 2 G's......was like half that when i went there my first time 5 years ago, and it was in the summer too, august to be exact.....turned out to be cheapo air still had the best deal...tried to deal with united direct, but they wouldn't negotiate on the price.....seems to me, a ticket sold is a ticket sold...but they wouldn't budge on their price.....still flying united, just cheaper through cheapo air......thanks everyone!
  18. thanks everyone for your help and input.....name has not been changed and i think her friend is going to get the hotel arranged for her, so ID card i think is not necesary...the only real snag i ran into was using my credit card to secure the ticket in her name on a short notice....they did not want to approve the transaction online....had to call and place the reservation and even after that, had to go through a credit card verification.
  19. When she goes back to china, what all documents will she need?...i know of course her passport and her two year green card....does she need her chinese ID card?....I dont know if she has a current one of even has one at this point in time.
  20. Rongs' daughter wants to go back soon to attend the wedding of one her friends. Who has been back to China recently and where did you get your tickets through? I always bought well in advance of my trip when I was traveling.....this was just kinda sprung on me yesterday, so I know that short notice is not working on my side.
  21. Rong and I have been discussin home ownership in China. She says that you are allowed to own a home for 70 years, and then it reverts back to the company or government or sumpthing.....now, I am sure that by the time you are in a position to buy a home and then live another 70 years, you are gettin near the end of your rope anyhow.....but, is it possible to pass the home onto the child/children and then they get it for another 70 years?...or can you sell it before your 70 years is up and buy a new home which maybe is yours for seventy years...I know it is common practice for those who are well off to buy homes and then rent them out....what happens to these homes after the "70 year expiration date"?....are they sold to there children at a token price, passed on and retitled in the childrens name or what?....how is all this handled in china?
  22. This is the land of opportunity man. The opportunity for our government to take care of us. the only thing the govmint seems to want to take care of for me is how little i can do with in my take home pay.
  23. oh dang....missed it again...or have i?.....when is/was it?
  24. Ain't never had a free ride myself, but, I for one can't see passing out free money and free food to able bodied individuals.....what's wrong with requiring a little civil service on the recipients end for the care they are applying for...some people just take the slogan "Land of the Free" just a little too literally....free food, free money, free health care, free housing...BS....I ain't denying those who really need it, but just as you see some people pull into a handicap stall in their Mazda RX8 and hop out and run into wally world (and yes, the handicap card is a hanging off the mirror)....just makes me wanna puke...America...Land of the Checks and no Balances...especially no Balance in their bank account, but it sure doesn't stop em from writin Checks!
  25. For some, this is old news....Had a gall bladder problem in Jan '07 in Xi'an...was set to have it out(paid up in advance of course to the tune of $481 american dollars)...that would have included everything...7 nights in the hospital, surgeon fees, lab fees...."Everything"...the doctors played it to the cautious side though and backed out on operating because the enzyme levels were too high...told me they would be happy to perform this a month later after things had cooled down....so i went home and my doctor had it out on the next monday morning...i ended up paying out of pocket expenses (deductibles and co-pays) that were 4-5 times what it would have cost me to have it out in China....the procedure performed was exactly as they would have done it in China....can't remember what the total bill was here, but it seems it was in the 15-20,000 dollar range....quite a difference...granted, this hospital was a little like described by True Blue...maybe not to quite this extreme, but smoking was there, myself and fiance included and the beds were not so comfortable and the wc was even worse.....but as far as the doctors and nurses and operating facilities were concerned, i was completely at ease for having this procedure done there.
