I have a question on what the best thing to do. I will arrive in Hong Kong at 4:55pm on March 16, 2010. My next flight to Guangzhou leaves at 9:25pm and arrives at 10:15pm in Guangzhou. Now I hear it is a long way from the airport to Guangzhou Embassy. So would it be better if I just take the train to Guangzhou. If so how far is the train station from the airport in Hong Kong. Or for that matter how far is the train station from the airport in Guangzhou. We are staying right at the Embassy building. Can anyone help me out here. Now you have to remember my Chinese is not very good. Thanks, Michael

I know I am thinking pink and when that happens you may be able to hear me around the world. I have said a lot of prayers. Between dos and Guangzhou it has been quite the battle. I have been working on our Kitchen sink and going through the list to make sure I do not forget anything. Guangzhou here I come. Our interview is March 18, 2010 at 7:15am. What a great feeling. Michael

They have a places that will do it for you. I was looking it up today and I could make the reservation now. But I know I should wait. So what is the best thing to do. Like Robert case got a blue slip. Now my paper work went through the NVC here in US. So anytime there was a error they let me know and I fixed it. Any in put would be of some help. Thanks, Michael

  11. It is official I will be leaving for Guangzhou on March 15, 2010. I did take Dan's advice and I am flying United. I leave right out of Appleton, Wisconsin of which is very close to home. I fly Appleton to Chicago Chicago to Hong Kong Hong Kong to Guangzhou, Dragon Air April 2, 2010 Beijing to Chicago Chicago to Appleton What I like it is a straight flight to Chicago. We have plenty of time in Chicago for her. Plus this was all cheaper than if I had gone to Chicago or Milwaukee. I would have to pay to park. Took me a lot of searching to get the right flights. I fly all United except from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. Has anyone flown United? I think Dan has. Just wondered how it was. This is really fired up. Now I need to get this house of mine in shape. And then get my kitchen sink together. Is there anything that I am forgetting? Once again herr interview is March 18, 2010 at 7:15am. This is a great feeling. Michael

  18. Sounds like to me the first gal has no clue wtf she is doing. Then again there are some people that like to mess with you. I'll bet it was hard to hold your tongue. At this time you would like to Michael
  19. Congrats! I am hoping to find out soon. We should be there in March sometime. Michael
  20. We were also denied for a K 1. I did do a CR 1 before I got those papers back to me. Then once they came I had the K 1 canceled. So you do not have to wait. My lawyer recommend we do a CR 1. We were also denied because they said it was not a bonafide relationship. Sorry to hear this news. Michael
  21. The last time I got through to dos was last Friday. Since Monday there is a recording on there stating they were closed due to bad weather and will re-open on Monday. If you go on there you press 1 and the 0. Then there is another recordind. After that one it hangs up on you. The number I call is 202-663-1225. Like I know it by heart now. Because I call it so many times. Other than writing Guangzhou of which I already did. Is there anything else I can do. I know they keep telling they only make interviews the first two weeks of the month. I know on February 1, 2010 they said they do have the physical papers. Give me some hope here.
  22. True; in fact we STILL haven't had our family/friends ceremony (we are having it in April when the weather is better and we figured I could get more people to make it out to China). But we are, without question, legally married (my wife makes sure I know this!). So when you got married was it like a production line. In Shenyang you had to go through this hotel. How funny I thought. Now you have to understand I really did not think this was the place. Oh but it was. It is a time I will never forget. I like the one baby thing in the red book. The drama never ends.
  23. Michael, Look in your redbook. Look at the page with the photo of the both of you. Immediately to the left of the photo, and just under your printed name (in english) will be a date. This is your actual marriage date. Our wedding date is March 5, 2009 but in Chinese style it reads 2009 3 5 with Chinese writing behind each set of numbers. We went to the Shenyang marriage office twice. The first time to file our info and have some photos made, and then to pick up the redbooks. On the second trip they handed lil' rabbit some dusty plastic flowers to hold and we stood behind a samll podium and read a couple of plastic cards that told us how we should treat each other. The whole time a lady was taking photos and one of them was pasted into our books. I too, wasn't really certain which time we got married, but I loved th eexperience and the DATE is under your printed english name. tsap seui We also got married in Shenyang. I looked in the red book and ours does say February 11, 2009. We had our reception on Sunday, February 8, 2009. So this was a mystery to me. Thank You for the help. Just want to have correct information before the interview. Michael The whole thing was a hilarious mystery to me. From walking into the hotel the marriage office was in (on the second floor) to all the women you had to walk back and forth to. The one young gal was asleep in her chair and I thought she was someone's daughter and was waiting for her mom to get off work...WRONG...she was the one you gave your money to. What fun China is. We still call the hotel with the marriage offices on it's 2nd and 3rd floors... the Ca Ca Hotel because it smelled like an open sewer pit from the lack of traps on the plumbing. Nice hotel, marble floors and counter tops, but just the smell of shit made me not be able to stop laughing. When we first walked in, I stopped and stage whispered to the lil' rabbit, with a huge look of astonishment on my face, "you have P" (fart) ???? She knew exactly what I was talking about, and everytime we looked at each other I would wrinkle my nose at her and we'd both bust out laughing. Then, on the way out of Shenyang, what do I see??? The "Ture" Love Hotel. I love it all. tsap seui How right you are. It was almost like a production line. It was really just like you said. They all seem to have some part in the whole thing. We took a friend with us that could speak English and Chinese. So it is a fun city. We sure had a lot of fun. Oh yes before we went to get married. I had to go and get that affidavit of Eligibility to Marry at the Embassy in Shenyang. It was a form that I filled out right there. Paid for it and then went to get married. It was really something. If we are ever there at the same time we will have to get together. Fired Up Michael
  24. Congratulations! That is Great news. Michael
