It has been very good since we got here in Shenyang. But here we are putting her whole life into two suitcase plus carry on. Altough she has very good friends that will send her stuff. Fengjie is so excited about coming to America. Well I did bring a suitcase also that she has already filled up. Leaving her family and friends has to hard. That is why I like this site so much I can get help though all of this. A lot harder to get get on internet here. Because she doesn't have it in her apartment. Friday is the big day we will be coming America. I try to support her in every way I can. Michael

Sometimes the adjustment can be hard. Remember, she left everything behind to start this new life with you. She is taking a big leap of faith. My best advise is do not work on making her happy. You will fail miserably. Instead, the best way to keep her happy is just be as supportive as possible. Be there in any way and at any time she needs you. Do not tell her you love her. This means nothing to a Chinese woman as to them it is just words. You will be miles ahead just to show her how much you love her. Then the occasional "I Love You" has so much more meaning. We both are very excited and I know it will take time to adjust to America and now she will be away from family and friends. She will be coming to a whole new world. Well Fengjie had to get her finerprints done again. So that delay things. We just got back from picking up her visa. What a great day. We will be heading for Shenyang at 3pm. I have got her plane ticket for America and she is on the same flights as me. Wow I got a good deal here in Guangzhou. Boy I have been here for awhile. Right now we are pretty excited. I was just in a supermarket and it looks like you can use some kind of card. But my wife was not with me. So I cannot speak Chinese. Just the basics.

I forgot how much when I was there last time. Have you seen any pinyin maps around of GUZ? Besides my SO, a pinyin map is my best friend.. It is very cheap for both. Like 1 or 2 yuan for bus. It has been hot here. But we are picking up visa soon. Then we are going to Shenyang. It is pretty easy to get around. Michael

Wow gerat story. I did do a K1 the first time around. Yes Gus always seems to ask how many times I was there. I did not go to the first interview. They said it was not a bonafide relationship. So then we did a CR 1. Now this time I did come to Guangzhou and gave my wife my passport. Yes they did look at it and new I was there. They also ask how many times I was in China. Even though you cannot go to the interview I felt I really wanted to be here this time. We did get a pink slip this time. So I hope this helps out a little with what happen to us. Right now when we get the visa in our hands it will really be good. Michael

Yes I am very aware of all of this. But she told me different. She has money back in Shenyang. So I guess I should had my friend Yan explain it to me a little better. But it all worked out and I know now what is going on. It was a learning expierence and I am sure down the road we will have to over come other obstacles. You are right planning is very important. You are right and I learned a lot this time. I do not like using Credit cards. I like debit because I have the money and do not pay interest. It may have been a misunstanding on my part.

I finally got money at China Bank ATM. I had someone that could speak both English and Chinese. It turned out to be pretty easy to do. I did use my debit card. Thank You all for the help.

Wow some really great stories. And I can relate very well. For some reason over here in China I cannot get on that site. Can hardly wait to see when I get back. I was in the Marines 1964 to 1970. I was with Charlie, 1/1 in 1967- 1968. A lot of very good Marines died. If you would like to read a book that I happen to be in. It is called The Lions of Media. It was a battle that I will never forget. PST really was bad for me a awful long time. A very close friend ended up killing himself because he could not deal with it any longer. I agree with Kyle. For one thing I live in a city that has a very big lake. Water safety comes first. Then the chose would be who would you pull to shore first. When it comes down to it you will save them all in a heart beat.

We got pink slip about 45 minutes ago. It was really exciting. They only ask her one question. And looked at some pictures. That was pretty much it. The slip is more orange now. Michael
