I talked to dos on Friday and they said that there has been no interviews set by Guangzhou yet for March. Now this time for sure they admit they have our physical papers since February 1, 2010. Today I call in and they seem to be closed due to bad weather. Michael

Michael, Look in your redbook. Look at the page with the photo of the both of you. Immediately to the left of the photo, and just under your printed name (in english) will be a date. This is your actual marriage date. Our wedding date is March 5, 2009 but in Chinese style it reads 2009 3 5 with Chinese writing behind each set of numbers. We went to the Shenyang marriage office twice. The first time to file our info and have some photos made, and then to pick up the redbooks. On the second trip they handed lil' rabbit some dusty plastic flowers to hold and we stood behind a samll podium and read a couple of plastic cards that told us how we should treat each other. The whole time a lady was taking photos and one of them was pasted into our books. I too, wasn't really certain which time we got married, but I loved th eexperience and the DATE is under your printed english name. tsap seui We also got married in Shenyang. I looked in the red book and ours does say February 11, 2009. We had our reception on Sunday, February 8, 2009. So this was a mystery to me. Thank You for the help. Thanks Kyle This is what I thought. Because on the CR 1 I do have February 11, 2009. But then I did noticed that I put February 6, 2009 on one line. So we will have to wait to see what happens. Michael

Here is a question for you. We were married on Friday, February 6, 2009 in China. Then we got to pick our red book up on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Now in America February 6, 2009 we would be considered the day we got married. Now in China would it be the day we pick up the red book. Or on February 6, 2009. Michael

That would be up to you. I just renewed mine and everything went well and have my new visa in my hands. Although Passport Plus does mine. At least I know everything is done right. Michael

At this point it is a waiting game. I am doing a CR 1 and the NVC the papers electronically. Then they send the physical papers to Guangzhou. I know I call them now sometimes twice a week. My papers were sent on 10/29/2009. We are still waiting to get a interview. The number you can call is 202-663-1225. When they first answer press 1. Then the second time they answer press 0. That way you do not have to listen to all the recorded messages. Then when they do answer have your GUZ number ready. Look at my time line. Now where did you get married is the question? If in China then that is where the interview will be. I in the states then it will be here in the US. Stay in touch. Oh yes I would not start calling for awhile yet. But they will also answer questions if you have some. Michael

I speak english, to them there is the problem in the way I chat with her, more in the way she speaks,, what are you do today,,, are you go see mama today,, terry love you more and more everyday, we are be together very soon, little sentences like this was our problem to the VO Thanks ,, Terry Speaking like this is no worse than talking with my relatives that use a lot of pronouns. I have as much difficulty talking with my relatives as talking with my SO, when it comes to proper pronunciations, and grammar. Can you imagine sending copies of text messages to a VO. A lot of people from this area, the hills, on dating sites do not write much better. I think you had the bad luck of getting a difficult VO. This is a good lesson on what chat sessions one sends with a application or interview. Anyway,,,Best of Luck..Bob This are my same excact thoughts, finnaly someone understands what I am talking about, we got screwed by the VO,, who has made a easy thing very hard for us,, alot of time and alot of money,, for somebody that can control your outcome of life. So we know all the paper work was correct. They said it was not a bona vide relationship. So I got the money together and flew to China and we got married in China. Had 2 petitions going on at the same time. The one I did not know about. So we stuck with the CR 1. And we are now waiting for a interview date. Good luck in what ever you decide to do. The one that turned us down was a black woman that could not speak Chinese. And seems she took a pleasure in turning people down because of the power she has.
