When she gets the visa from Guangzhou. Do we have to have a direct flight from Guangzhou to America? I heard from someone you do. We do plan on coming back to America when she gets her visa.

Our CR1 was sent to Guangzhou on September 30,2009. I called on Tuesday and they said they said the physical papers have not been received yet. Has anyone have any idea how much longer before they will get them. Or maybe someone did a CR1 through the NVC. Just would like to see something happen. We both can hardly wait to get that interview. Robert, I started to learn from this site that I found in a book I bought. A pretty neat site. Go to www.cathaycafe.com. There is a free Mandarin lessons. And valuable other links you can use. Plus also in the city I live in they have a Chinese teacher that teaches chinese at a grade school. I also got permission from the school to sit in on the classes. It was pretty neat. Some of those kids could speak the basics. Hope that helps you out.

Well cannot say will that interview will come. When I did the K 1 it was January when we start and she had a interview. December 17. Look at all the different times. The CR 1 I am doing now we started in February and we are now still waiting for the interview. You will do just fine. You are a very lucky man.

I did a K 1 and I did not go to the interview. She was denied because they said it was not a bonafide relationship. Now last February 11, 2009 we got married in China. I did a CR 1. Just waiting for the interview. Everything was done and sent to Guangzhou on September 30.2009. Then I do have a friend that did a K 1 and he was not there. She now is in America. I like to think just sitting out in the hall during the interview will help. What more bonafide could that be. Good Luck, Michael

Hi, Well sometimes that is how they are. When I was there they would not let me spend one dime. I know how you feel. I am doing a CR 1. We did end getting married in China. I was the only American at our wedding. But let me tell you it was awesome. Her family treats me very well. So just do the best you can. On google you can translate English to Chinese. Hi, I am doing the CR 1. Mine was sent to Guangzhou on September 30, 2009. It is sent electronic to Guangzhou. But they need the actual papers before they will set up a interview. Which means it could up to 3 months before they get the papers. What is really happening is that it may only be a month or 2. So do not worry. It will happen but it will take time.. Hi my name is Michael. Here is what Guangzhou sent me. NVC sends this letter when the case is transferred electronically to Guangzhou. The interview cannot take place, however, until the physical file arrives at post. Due to unavoidable delays in getting files through Chinese customs, it takes about 3 months for them to arrive at the Consulate after being shipped by NVC. Once the Consulate receives the physical file, we will schedule your beneficiary for visa interview within 1-2 months. Interviews are typically scheduled 2-4 weeks in advance. I am waiting just like you at the time.

Well I first did the K 1 and then in Guangzhou they said it was not a bonafide relationship. So now I did get married in China to a wonderful woman. Lawyer filed 2 petitions of which I ended up doing the CR 1. You deal with the National Visa Center and pay them and file all the papers here in the US. Then they will transmit that to Guangzhou. That also pays for your visa and green card. We are now just waiting for the interview. Hope this is some help to you.
