  1. IR-1 (two years after marriage) will get her a 10 yr green card - they have been married almost 10 years oh shyte...i thought i read k1. nevermind.
  2. oh yeah, jiamandsarah, you are a k1, so you must be going to the US to get married, right? i see you said you might go to florida to visit your father, but make sure you get married too, or you have to redo the process all over as the k1 expires 90 days after she enters the US.
  3. cool...i think this is the first one ever that didn't get asked a single question. and aren't you the same guy that said you weren't going to do the interview?
  4. Damn Hankster! You guys are zipping through this process!!!! My wife has her biometrics appointment 9/6/07 but still no interview date yet. Are you guys in the USCIS system yet? We still can't view our case number online yet, so we can't get any case status. We did receive a NOA1 on 7/23/07 in our mailbox. The NOTICE Date on the NOA1 was 7/19/07. We sent our I-485 application on 7/10/07. It was received by USCIS on 7/12/07. Sir, yes........so far so good. Unlike the visa process, I haven't tracked the AOS on the USCIS site. My wife and son had their biometrics on Aug. 25 and the interview notice came the same day. Interview is on Sept. 25 in Memphis. BTW, mchina34, we recieved the NOA1 for AOS yesterday (Aug 30). Received date of 7/22 Notice Date of Aug 28. Like others have stated, they're very late for NOA1's. Hank cool. i don't know why i created the other thread, but i just got our notice for biometrics today. 09/24 is our date...what happens after this? what is this for, criminal check, can be entered into fbi database, ??? what's the normal wait after this for interview date?
  5. We never got a NOA 1 for I-485. Mailed I-485 July 20 - Check cashed Aug 6 - Biometrics letter received Aug. 10 - Interview letter received Aug. 25. Still no NOA 1 Damn Hankster! You guys are zipping through this process!!!! My wife has her biometrics appointment 9/6/07 but still no interview date yet. Are you guys in the USCIS system yet? We still can't view our case number online yet, so we can't get any case status. B) We did receive a NOA1 on 7/23/07 in our mailbox. The NOTICE Date on the NOA1 was 7/19/07. We sent our I-485 application on 7/10/07. It was received by USCIS on 7/12/07. i dind't know we got another number for AOS. i hope i get some sort of notice that they recieved our packet, even so i know they did (cashed check).
  6. We never got a NOA 1 for I-485. Mailed I-485 July 20 - Check cashed Aug 6 - Biometrics letter received Aug. 10 - Interview letter received Aug. 25. Still no NOA 1 Same here. Mailed I-485 July 19 and check was cashed Aug.3. Biometrics has been completed, but still no NOA1. thins are getting confusing. did you do a biometrics for ead or for AOS? or do you do one for both? we did biometrics for ead and got a notice that our i765 was transfered to california, and another document for our appointment for biometrics (again, 765). also, does my i1765 being transfered to california mean anything in relation to my i485?
  7. We never got a NOA 1 for I-485. Mailed I-485 July 20 - Check cashed Aug 6 - Biometrics letter received Aug. 10 - Interview letter received Aug. 25. Still no NOA 1 so she just did biometrics for EAD, is she going to have to do another biometrics for AOS, or do we go straight to the interview?
  8. Our check cashed last friday, so I'm wondering if 'm supposed to get a notice of some sort???
  9. see my timeline in my signature. i wrote the same amounts on my checks for my wife and both were accepted. and i sent our i485/765 about the same time.
  10. go if you can, don't if you can't. i didn't go and we got pink, but i certainly would have if i could've.
  11. So how was it? How did it go? Can you answer your question for us now? Yeah, how was it? Inquiring minds want to know! ours wans't so good in seattle. wen through security (1 minute), waited in line (1 minute), checked in with the guy at the desk (1 minute), filled out papers (2 minutes) and got number (35 minutes), entered finger print room and she was in there for another 20-25 minutes. it gets worse for the poor chaps after me. when we left the buidling, there was a line 20+ people deep just outside (before security which is the first part) around 2.25pm. also, we got their 20 minutes early and from i can tell, it doesn't matter if you get there much earlier than your 'appointment', but i don't know for sure. i don't think the security or front desk dude looked at the date of our appointment, but i might be wrong. anyways, next time i'm going at least an hour early (if she has an interview).
  12. cool, thanks. how long after biometrics before i765 is approved? Hopefully, you filed under ( c )(9), and not ( a )(6). The ( a )(6) is only good for the 90 days that you already have work authorization for, but the ( c )(9) is usually filed with the AOS application. About a month for us between bio-metrics and getting the card. after the biometrics and in between that month you were waiting, were you getting touches?
  13. Sad news. For the longest we saw nothing but happiness with "Pink" this and "Pink" that. I wish that were the case for everyone. Sounds like a simple overcome. Can you enlighten us to what may of caused the "Blue" slip? It would help us all. Thanks, Clayton Hi Clayton The blue slip asked for proof of residence of the petitioner (domicile). It also asked for a I-864 and 2004, 2005, and 2006 tax returns. They are CR1. My friends wife, the applicant, has an overcome appointment set up for September 24th. Hopefully all will work out. I think it will. setp. 24, why so damn long away? it's unreal to ask someone to wait that much more. good luck to your pal!
  14. Having lived and worked in Matsumoto (Japan) for a couple of years, I think I know where sushi comes from. Japanese is my favourite cuisine and as I said many times before, I did not go for my fiancee because she is Chinese. As to the rest, we'll just see. California Jim seems to have the balance that my fiancee and I would attempt to strive for. As aye, Jim nothing meant by it...
  15. sushi is japanese (at least currently), not chinese. about her 'adapting'...i will be in shock if she eats rice only twice a week. it'd be like you going to china and eating american food only twice a week, and chinese food the other 15 meals of the week.
  16. i assumed it was, as others probably did. did you get it working???
  17. well, i don't have to tell you what it is. just stay in high spirits until the fight with guz is over, and don't play the 'blame game'. good luck buddy!
  18. start > settings>control panel> regiona language setting> advanced tab and in the drop down list on top select chinese and check the box at the very bottom. assuming you installed east language fonts on the Languages tab as you said. edit:may require a reboot...
  19. wow, great!! funny, cuz i was just going to respond to your other thread a few days ago inquiring about your status. congrats again...let the second time be sweeter!
  20. alright, i got a sweetheart at USCIS today on the phone and she said that if i got a biometrics appointment then they accepted my i485. she said they've been slammed due to the price deadline and that it could be a while before checks are cashed or NOA1 notices are sent. i think dantheman mentioned this in another thread(dan??). anyways, maybe an fyi for others in the same shoes. ..... 1 week till biometrics are done!!!
  21. I don't know about your other stuff, but for the I-485 (AoS), you sent it to the correct address if you sent it to the address Dan posted. yeah, but i setn the i765 in first. they cashed that check and she's got an appointment on the 21st, so all is well with that part. the issue is if i sent it to the right address (the chicago one) based on the fact that i sent the i765 first/separately. that's what dan is saying i think. timeline: sent i765 first, to whatever address i was supposed to - sent i485 second...few days later, to chicago address. not sure if that clears things up. btw, how long before they cashed your check??? Similar circumstance. I sent the I-765 two weeks before the I-485. I have not received NOA for the EAD, and not sure if we do, but checks were cashed not long after they received the applications. I did receive the Biometrics appointment letter 3 days ago, but not the NOA. i got my biometrics appointment 30 days after i mailed off the i765, but no check cashed for the i485. maybe tomorrow morning it will post after midnight processing goes through. they must be really swamped, because i should've at least gotten my packet returned to me by now if they werne't going to accept it.

  23. get life INS and all problems solved. normally companies will provide 10k or more for free, depending on the company, so if she thinks it's a waste, take the free coverage from work if possible. or, join the national guard and get a lot of coverage for free!
  24. Who posted they sent to their local office? You sent it to the correct place: Chicago lock-box. not i said the little bear. i sent it to the chiacgo address dan posted (the one in the packet).
