  1. Good deal! Congratulations to you and your family
  2. Good deal. Congrats to you both!
  3. That is so good to hear! Hang in there, both you and your wife will begin that next chapter in life, and it will be worth all the time and effort leading up to it. Suffer through your disappointments together and use them to make you stronger and more determined. I am glad to know your wife is feeling better. Good luck, and press forward!
  4. Congratulations! Wishing you both the best!
  5. Good deal! I hope you get more good news very soon!
  6. Congrats! You are right that preparation is so very important. I believe this played a huge role in the ease of Xiaoling's interview and being well-prepared took away "some" of the nervousness. I was the last man waiting in the coffee shop and when I finally saw her turn the corner with the PINK and the happy look on her face, words can hardly describe the feeling! CFL was my source for such a smooth journey. Again, congratulations on the PINK!
  7. Congratulations! I am always so happy to hear good news!
  8. I know it's still early for me to be checking the status, but I wondered if anyone else is seeing this message at the USCIS status check: It was reported to us that your IP address or internet gateway has been locked out for a select period of time. This is due to an unusually high rate of use. In order to avoid this issue, please create a Customer account (single applicant) or a Representative account (representing many individuals). I have been getting this message since last night. Tom & Xiaoling
  9. Baltimore, MD Dr. Donald S. Hench, Concentra-Inner Harbor 100 South Charles Street, Suite 150, Baltimore, MD 21201 (410) 752-3010 Very easy and fast. We went in, they took her yellow book, we paid the $25 fee and they said "we will call you when it's ready." We got the call 3 days later I picked up the sealed envelope from the office. Helpful and friendly staff. Tom and Xiaoling
  10. Thank you! I just called the civil surgeon office and they said they will charge $25 to transfer the vaccination record. We are going to drive there now. Thanks again! Tom and Xiaoling
  11. We are working on the AOS forms. I have called USCIS but it seems to be a different answer depending upon who connects with you. I always find experienced answers here, so I would like to ask: 1. Does she need to visit a Civil Surgeon if she has already had the medical exam in GZ a few months before entering USA? She also had vaccinations about a week before we left GZ. 2. On the I-131 application, do we check box "a" or "d" for the travel document? I think that is all for now Thanks! Tom & Xiaoling
  12. I have heard some say it is required to file for AOS immediately after marriage. I called USCIS and spoke to a woman who said it is not needful to file immediately, but that some do for the sake of getting the EAD. She also told me that after marriage, the K1 is no longer a valid visa and that my fiancee (wife) will be here legally, but will not have a status. I also spoke to a worker at the local Social Security Administration and they told me that we need the EAD in order to obtain a SSN. I am trying to figure things out, but it seems I get different answers depending upon whom I am connected with. We arrived in the USA last month and will be married this week. I am in need of some experienced advice as to my next step in the process. After marriage, what is her status and how long before we must apply for AOS? Thanks, Tom & Xiaoling
