  1. dnoblett, I know you have posted this many times, I thought i have bookmarked it too, but could you please send out again the website for how to find a local surgeon general (or whatever the right place is) to do this for cheap? Thanks!
  2. Thanks! Will send them only the copy
  3. Went to City Hall today... Silly me, I thought Marriage License was the only thing required. I had to pay for the marriage ceremony too. $98 for the Marriage License, $70 for the Ceremony, $13 for a copy of the marriage Cert. Now I wonder how much is one of the outside vendors charge -- Could've save time
  4. My fiancee is on K-1 Visa, in the SSN application form, it asks for Citizenship: 1. U.S. Citizen 2. Legal Alien Allowed to Work 3. Legal Alien Not Allowed to Work 4. Other Which should I choose?
  5. I am doing the AOS by myself, vs paying the professional like I did for my K-1. The very fist step is to get Marriage License right? Do I need photos for that? Thanks!
  6. Correct. It took 3 days.
  7. We had a very straight forward case. I definitely over prepared. Maybe that's why it felt stressful. But anyways, my fiancee got the Visa and is with me now. Thanks this forum for support. Our next stage is AOS.

    Tianhe Map

Thanks for the map. Besides Taxi, what is a good way to get from the airport to the consulate/yang's? (for interview) Thanks!
  9. Haha. Got it. So in the case, it was just like a casual conversation.
  10. Congratulations!! But what kind of car you drive? Was your fiancee able to give them the Make and Model, and Year? I wonder why this is important... I would think most ladies don't care to remember that kind of information
  11. You can email GUZ to make sure. They can give you the tracking number. Regarding DOS, you get different answers depend on who to talk to. Sarah and Jessica are the best!
  12. Is getting a S Korea visa difficult? Not sure the process but you cat start here: http://www.travisas.com/main/visa_instruct...en=CN&Go=Go Note: Going through Hong Kong is easier. If I manage to get a one day flight through Korea, no visa will be required right?
  13. Do you know if an E-ticket confirmation, received by email, will be enough?
  14. Really, things must have changed. I remember you had to get a Hong Kong visa before, many years ago. Thanks!
  15. I wonder if anyone has had gone through this: When my fiancee fly to USA, we can do: 1) Use a Korean airline, but will have to stay in Korea overnight. Does my fiancee need a Korean visa?--It'll be tough. 2) Go to Hong Kong, then need a Hong Kong pass/visa #1 will be best for us if no additional visa is required.
  16. It will. But you can call NVC to find out the GUZ case number as well.
  17. Might be good news. The real good news would be your physical files don't get stuck at customs. GUZ will wait for the physical files before they send out the P3.
  18. I have heard that there would be some kind of sealed envelope that one shouldn't open (it's to be opened by the officers at POE). Do they give such an envelope right after the interview? Or does it come together with the Visa? What are the items to receive after the interview? What shouldn't be opened? Just don't want to mess anything up. Thanks!
  19. Do we have to get an EMS label ourselves or will there be one available at the Consulate?
  20. I tend to think each part is independent: USCIS, NVC, DOS, GUZ, somehow... I never knew it was so hard to get your loved one to be with you before this process. It's hard enough to find the person you can fall in love with... The wait can be unbearable... You are really just two days from NVC in, I think you will be NVC out very soon, should be in couple days if not today. Shouldn't worry about it
  21. For K-1, it should just be a few days. If you look at the timelines at Vj, it's normally two days to a week.
