  2. This wasn't a web-site, someone I know received this earlier this week. Doesn't sound good to me... I asked the person to call, but we haven't talked since.

  4. This is a bummer for me. My Son Peipei's has expired. Houston Texas is the one for Georgia. Not sure why my wife didn't renew his before he came. Brother C you can check with the Ga state gvt and perhaps they will know if and when the Houston Consulate will pay a visit to Ga. If not, it will be a good driving experience for Xuemei. I thought I heard something a while back about a Consulate coming to Georgia? Is that true? Houston is a long trip.

Another option, if son is age 17 or younger, you can always adopt and get son Citizenship and a US Passport. See: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=25649&hl= He turned 18 this week.

  7. Sounds like you have a good trip planned ahead of you. Is she a student or did I miss that? I hope you have a good trip and enjoy spending time together. Good luck. She is a looker, don't rush on sex, but by all means, "kiss her Harvey" ... I know your name isn't Harvey, it is something I rememeber from the old Odd Couple show... a little before your time youngster, actually a lot. Enjoy China and finally meeting your lady.
  8. Thanks Dnoblett, I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I'd hate it if I delayed thier process in the least. I really haven't kept up to date on the procedures much. I've forwarded on this information and I will read these instructions more and share any information that might be helpful. They are I -130(CR-1) and the lady is from my wife's hometown. She is a real sweet lady.
  9. A friend of my wife's just got the p2(NOA2?)approved. I sent her husband this link... which is what I used 2 years ago... is this still valid? I don't want to provide outdated information. I can't beleive in little more than 1 month, it will be 2 years my long ordeal with USCIS ended and now my wife is well into her 2 year here in the States. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...hortcut#DS-3032
  10. I'm in IT,used to be I would turn away overtime it was so much, not the case anymore. they have centralized much of our work to the Midwest. Sometimes we aren't very busy. I've been with my company 20 years this year....Worries the heck out of a soon to be 52 y/o. I'm praying for 10 more years, but who knows, everybody is downsizing... how many companies looking for a man my age? I hope things get better, at least it seems it has stopped going down hill... It would be nice if we started to climb again. Toyota having thier problems doesn't hurt.. We need to buy American and we need toget stronger. How? who knows. It's a shame how our leaders and lawmakers aren't on the same page, working for the best interest of the American people that it and not bi partisian interest.... I know, I'm a dreamer.
  11. Robert, I used to do this when I was with my Ex. she has an CPA Accounting business and I built everything from the Lan, Servers, Disk Arrays and workstations for her, but I find it is best to buy a machine, because unless you can get really good prices on the parts, you always pay more for the individual parts that buying a machine. When I was buying a lot of computers and parts in the Norcross area, I went to Ginstar. there is one on Jimmy carter across from the Varsity and I think there is one in Marrietta also. Ginstar... They speak chinese if your wives want to be involved. www.ginstar.com Still Frys is good and so is MicroCenter. But always look at ginstar to get the best price on computers and parts. I buy almost everything I use to build computers from zipzzomfly.com. Yes it is cheaper to buy a built unit...but......I like to choose what I put in my system . The last one I built..my home computer....cost 6k to build....but man is it fast Makes sense. Are you a gamer? I used to be . Now it is just a very fast chat machine . I d play every now and them....but I also do some digital video editing. a fast machine is great for video editing and doing other things at the same time. I'm a gamer, but I use Playstation 2 to play Madden online. I don't play as much anymore but I still like it a lot... I don't use the machine for anything else.

  13. I work with computers alot... but on my own computer, I really don't do much. I don't get virus' yet and I don't generally have problems with too many things on my system slowing it down. I guess I have basically stop downloading a lot of stuff to my system.

  15. I have had it for a few days now and so far everything is good. It's great to have my computer back now. I was surprised to see that 7 kept a copy of my hard drive and put it into a windows.old file. Yes indeed, MUCH better than vista. Charles,I see I was late and didn't catch up on the thread, glad all worked fine. make sure yo have a good backup just in case you have any hard drive issues
  16. I'm kinda of late on this...but like Robert said calling Microsoft shouldn't be a thought. All windows should give you the option to format your harddrive or simply repair... since most don't create the repair disk, you would either reformat or copy over the exsisiting one. I used to load tons of systems with windows, mostly NT in the business environment. Nothing much has changed since, plus I do the same for XP ... etc. Unless you just want to go to Windows 7, your Vista should be fine.. the code doesn't change degrade, you might be having the beginnings of a hard drive issue which can cause you to get BSOD... I have Vista and have used it for over 3 years... I say make sure your data is backed up and you can load what ever you like.
  17. I never had a problem on 5 trips, always brought back a bunch, all from different ports, Guz,Beijing,Shanghai,Hongkong, never a problem with over 70 dvds... hardly have watched any of them. I think they hassle non USC more so than USC... Once I put down that a had a rolex,,, they said you know it is not real? I said yes and that was it.

  20. Sorry to hear this. Divorce is never a nice thing. I wish all concerned the best.
  21. congrats on the DL. I know it was not an easy road. I get knots in my stomach thinking about my wife driving. She can drive on the roads pretty good. We hae to work on parking, but she wants me to cancel her test 1/7... I don't want to. I told her, it is not the worse thing if she fails the 1st time. This is not an easy thing, but I need her to learn, it affects my job and life. I spend 2:45 minutes each day taking her to and from work. But, I'm not rushing her, but she needs to have steady progress, which is not the case sometimes. No one said this would be easy
  22. Thank you Larry and Dave! I did not ask her about it. I only listened to what she told me. It is just that she invited to her fathers.....I said yes of course...not knowing much about it. She said it lasts two days and that it continues over night. She said she did not expect me to stay awake with them over night. At least she said I was of great comfort to talk to during this sad event. Good to see you Gary... I see you jumped back on the proverbial Horse, no pun intended How's life treating you? It's been a while. Hello Charles! Life has been treating me very well! Without saying too much...I think this is the one...this will last the rest of my life! That's my story.... If I have any advice, take your time. I wish you the best. Get to know each other first.
