1. I think you get a totally new passport. Even if you don't , you can always make a notarized copy of the old one including all the pages inside. You may want to do it, just in case.
2. This is correct for K visas. March is the beneficiary in a CR1 filing. The only packet she will receive from GUZ is the P4. Her P3 was sent out from and returned to NVC before the case was shipped to GUZ. Name Check's for CR1 cases are not begun until the physical file is on hand. USCONGUZ indicates the reason the name check is not begun until the file is received is that even though the computer file is on hand about the time the case leaves NVC, there are insufficient details in the CR1 electronic file, to initiate the name check. There are at least two reasons for the greater time lag between name check complete and P4 mailing for CR1 cases. One is the excess workload. Another is that (according to USCONGUZ) K cases get the first shot at an interview date once eligible for interview. Both the budget process and training process for hiring new Consular staff are quite cumbersome. Work load balancing between Consulates in various contries is also complicated by need for language skills. Learning Mandarin or Cantonese is not a simple or rapid process. 223339 I understand the priority given to a K3 petition. What I find hard to understand is why the K1s are given priority over CR1's?. It would only make sense that a wife is a closer family member then a fiancee.
3. So, who was the enemy in that home? 223045 It wasn't me. But hell, she's been able to be an enemy to so many people, it's not even funny. Thank god I got away in time, thank god.... I am not sure they allow to bash X wives here but what the heck... Maybe we should start a new topic : What is wrong with the American women of today, and how did it get to be that way. Ameriken.... where are you?????
4. http://sun-bin.blogspot.com/2005/12/chines...mily-names.html She may only share her name with 50 or so million others... Compare that to smith, which might have 3 million in the US http://www.jimwegryn.com/Names/CommonSurnames.htm 222877 The last name is very common, however, the first name, from what I understand , like any other first name in China, is vary rare. Sort of the opposite of western names. Here we have a gazillion last names and much much less first names. I think the first name, and perhaps date of birth and other identifying information is how it's sorted out.
5. Good work David! The CR1's don't look that good . Low success rate, but it can change quickly with a couple of approvals. Lets hope so!
6. I keep reading about common names and that if the petitioner and/or the SO have a common name then there might be some delays in the process. Well, is it the last name or both last and first. I mean, you can have a common last name but a relatively rare first name. For example: The name Smith is very common, but if you are a, lets say, Dumbadilo Smith, heck, not too many of those . So how does it work? anyone knows?
7. Good idea, thing is, by the end of this process some of us may not have any hair left
8. Paula, you can tell your husband everything will be OK. You just have to wait a little longer By the way, can you get the letter that the consulate asked for? I think you should try to get it is as fast as you can and send it to them. Good luck!
9. Paula, you did the right thing. You were honest and told him the truth. I just don't understand how a "Trained professional" can get away with something like that. He should have asked you this question before he told you that you passed the interview. Don't worry, just give them what they want and they will give you the visa Good luck!!!
10. How cold can you be?? man, you gave her the visa, she put it in the bag, now all of a sudden you come out of the blue and ask her a question about some freaking communist party????? I don't know about you, but it sure pieces the hell out of me
11. Well, do you think it might be a good idea to get that info and send to them?
12. Maybe I missed something, but did you provide them with new information on your Ex wife?
13. I won't forgive you for abandoning the Lakers though How could you Charles... how could you.....
14. I have the same situation as you. Ex husband (And Child's father) divorced at a young age, never payed jack, and the name is totally different. I never saw it as a red flag. Charles, you got yourself a fine woman there.
15. I understand the emotion behind your response. However, we don't know the content of the letter or whether the letter clearly indicates that its author is a jealous ex. If WE presume the letter is a lie or lies, it could alledge pretty much anything and indicate pretty much any relationship between the author and petitioner. Since the Consulate must make this determination, some criteria and established procedure must be used to do so. It would appear in this case that the correspondence came to light after the interview took place. There are legitimate times to fault the Consulate. I don't think we have enough information to know whether this is one of them. The "ex's" actions are sick. The Consulates are most likely prudent. 221758 "She apologized and said she wrote the embassy out of jealousy and promised to contact the consulate to ignore her correspondences." Now Favor has to wait who knows how long to get (Maybe) his visa
16. If I am Favor, I sue this girl for everything she has, and then some.
17. The Problem is, one can't defend or prove wrong many of these allegations. Someone sais something about you, I think THEY should have to prove what they say. Rumors are just what they are, rumors.
18. Why are third parties given so much credit? The consulate must know by now that many of these accusations stem from jealousy, resentment, spite, revenge, etc.
19. I can't wait to post them blobers...
20. We all have a pretty good idea of what the success rate is for CFL members in obtaining visas for our SO's. I just wonder if there is any information available on the total success/failiure rate for USC that are not CFL members.
