  1. They have a holding facility at the Swan Hotel (the cynical view - "It takes time to sort and processed each one"), but for the shipments from NVC the fact that they signed for it usually means that they are ready to process it.
  2. We'll watch out for Rita for you - you just bring her back! Good luck!
  3. We're hoping they go by the 'received ' date (June 22) or the date on the P3 letter, which should put us in line for a November date. Otherwise, it'll be December. It sat at the Swan Hotel for about 3 weeks before they entered it into the computer. Thanks
  4. Check out the timelines of people here on Candle who are getting interview dates NOW for a more realistic picture of what to expect - you may actually be coming up pretty soon.
  5. That is absolutely WONDERFUL! Best ending to a VERY sad story that I've ever heard! I knew that guy was a JERK! CONGRATULATIONS! http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/ups/unknown/sunshine.gifhttp://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/ups/unknown/sunshine.gifhttp://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/ups/unknown/sunshine.gifhttp://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/ups/unknown/sunshine.gif So sorry you had to go through this in the first place!
  6. Does he know what PC stands for??
  7. Welcome her to the US for all of us, David. and Congratulations.
  8. The archive is turned on in "Messenger", "Preferences". Check the box for "Yes, save all of my messages"
  9. Yes - you must be a very close relative of hers - like her son or daughter.
  10. Congratulations - both of you. http://www.clicksmilies.com/s0105/mittelgrosse/medium-smiley-133.gif
  11. Be hopeful that it means that the VO has had second thoughts about what he is doing to you, and is requesting a ruling from someone else. The wording "administrative review can mean a number of things, but I think that most of all, it means your application is still alive.
  12. Thanks, Ty. I appreciate, and it is very timely.
  13. In Houston, we have ESL Spanish classes less than half a mile away, and ESL Chinese around 5 miles away in Chinatown. The ESL Chinese is especially important if her English is weak (for example, she he him her them their are all 'ta' in Mandarin, same with tense). Check a nearby Chinatown, if you have one.
  14. You must state to the satisfaction of the Visa Officer that the expenses will be covered. Tine's letter is merely an example - it is not even required. They look at expenses, and whether the invitee's have sufficient ties to the homeland to ensure their return. Have them bring everything in Tine's checklist above. I believe that the green card is necessary before she can invite her relatives to come to visit. I'm sure someone will correct if that isn't right. The better prepared they are when they interview, the more likely it is to be approved.
  15. Oh, Jesse!! . . . and you were doing SO well! Just kidding - I hope they help you!
  16. Touched?? Where would it say touched? It just has ... Receipt E-mail Last Updated Form # Form Title It's the Last Updated date that changes 154444[/snapback] Well, if it doesn't, it doesn't. I never saw it on mine, but they talk about it a lot on VJ (and even include it in their timelines). I think it means that somebody actually picked up the file, and had to make an entry for that. I was hoping you knew!!
  17. As long as they don't lose anything or start off down a blind alley. Does it say "touched"?
  18. Send your information to (member name) 'Timeline', and you'll be added to the P4/Interview projection table. Hope you make it!
  19. I wonder if there isn't something else behind the scenes that was not completed in time for your interview, like a security check? "Administrative Review" would cover that. This seems like an EXTREMELY cold way to tell you that - leaving you scampering around to try to prove that you really ARE married - but, hopefully, it's simply a matter of time before the WHATEVER is completed, and they can call you back to approve your visa.
