  2. Welcome aboard. We are actually all pretty nice people. Most of the time. Well some of the time Maybe occasionally Actually the process has driven most of to the point of lunacy and so you must forgive us for our somewhat warped humor. Its just the first sign of going mad. The second sign is big black hairs growing on the palms of your hands And the third and fianal sign is looking for them
  3. I tried that route in Decwmber. NO WAY NO HOW Was the basic response from our nice consular officials.
  4. Good luck in trying. We all understand your frustration but read the timelines here. You still have along way to go and all I can suggest is try not to let the system drive you nuts.
  5. Actually its the cleaning lady dusting off the files. Sorry could not resist
  6. the following websites cotain some updated info regarding the security check process including those such as the Eagle which apply to chinese nationals. http://ogc.arizona.edu/white_paper_jel_for...munity-visa.htm http://www.wolfsdorf.com/articles/Consular...ng_20050524.htm
  7. I think they are just confused about the word Moon. EG: Did you Moon me. Who are you Mooning, and I promise I wont Moon you.
  8. Recently returned from SH my favorite city have a great time. Try the cruise down huang Po to Pu Tuo Shan Island its great.
  9. Any of you guys heard of this? I called DOS and they told me that my wifes name check was complete and they are waiting on an Eagle security clearence because she is from China. Thanks for any help.
  10. Also it is not shipped the day that the NVC says it is. The date that they give you is the date thet it was sent to the shipping dept and it is usually 1 or 2 days after that before it is picked up by DHL.
  11. CONGRATS thanks for the heads up on the hotel.
  12. CONGRATS But it sounds like they did not give you your moneysworth Tell them they owe you some more questions
  13. And you dont need to cut and paste the barcode you can make your own
  14. There is only ever 1 pkg of visas shipped to GUZ on a given day. If you go to the DHL website and log in to Track By Reference and then enter thr reference as I-730 and the ship date it will tell you the status of all worldwide visa shipments for that day. Just scroll down to Guangzhou. If the weight of the pkg was over 4.4 lbs it will be held for chinese customs inspection and will show clearence delay. Good Luck
  15. Welcome to CFL Up until June it was taking about 10 days for the NVC to complete the case after receiving the DS-230, and then another 4 or 5 days to forward to GUZ. Be prepared for a Chinese customs delay of about 1 month before GUZ actually receives it. Then comes the second name check anywhere from 2 weeks to 120 days if there is no problem, and from there your case will become eligible to be scheduled for an interview. Good Luck.
  16. Seems to me that you are moving along at a fast pace. take a look at some of the other timelines here. good Luck
  17. They can and do access the GUZ data base. They can even tell you the emails that you send to GUZ.
  18. CONGRATS David. Tell GUZ to keep those approvals coming.
